I've never understood why people think Eliminator is so difficult. I'm fairly anti-forced-online gameplay, but I find Eliminator easy and fun.

I'm kind of surprised they went with the TR7 instead of the TR8, but I'm sure an engine swap can fix that.

I cannot wait to get my hands on that Austin. I'm sure I can get some good period correct photos with that one.

These Super7 challenges sound like fun. I'm looking forward to seeing what people come up with, and what ideas I might be able to implement.

My assumption is the chose the TR7 because it fit in with the name Super7. Just like the Mercury Cougar Eliminator for the Eliminator.

Maybe a Group 4 prepped TR8 coupe somewhere down the road? Wouldn't be the first time they've had stock and rally-spec versions of a car in the same game...

I think you both might be on to something.

The Triumph TR7 was leaked quite a long time ago, and I doubt they specifically chose it at the time because of Super7. More likely they just chose reward cars at their disposal which happened to have seven in their name.

I'm happy to see that this game is well over two years old, and yet they're still adding cars and features for free. This is one of the many reasons Horizon remains my favorite car game franchise.
Its the only racing game i play right now. I keep trying to give forza 7 chances but it just does not cut it anymore. FH4 takes the crown now.

Probally having to wait until the next set comes out but do we have any idea if the 155 has the really high revving motor? Loved the sound of that thing

It's the 2.0 Turbo, shared with the Integrale and I'm pretty sure it's all done before 7,000rpm.

But if it brings over the engine swaps it had on FM7, then high revving engines won’t be a problem as the 3.0 V8 Racing will be a good substitute for the DTM 2.5 V6.

Couple that with hopefully some wheel spacers the 155 will be a lovely little rocket for S1. :P

IIRC it also had the 4 rotor from the 787B in FM7?

Except it makes perfect sense when you consider that the Cougar Eliminator came with a game mode called The Eliminator. I'd be willing to be that both cars came with this came mode called Super7 specifically of the reason I mentioned.

If they were chosen at random, they could have been added at any point; however, they put them in a game mode with Seven in the name.

You originally replied to someone who wondered why they chose the TR7 over the TR8 though. That’s likely a choice they made way before Super7 was planned or conceived, and hence my previous point.

I agree completely that they chose the Austin Seven and Triumph TR7 for this update because their names fit with new game mode, and most importantly because these cars have been at the developer’s disposal for a while, as the leaked car files from months ago would suggest.

Yes, in reference to the Super7 prizes, not in general.

Looks cool on paper, but given this community's (the Forza community in general, not us here at GTP) propensities, sadly I feel that much like the route creator that basically became a way to cheat at Forzathons, this will end up filled with really easy challenges in S2/X class hypercars to complete said "Super7" as fast as possible, and you're going to have to look really hard to find something cool to do. A shame, really. Thankfully, I assume (and hope) we'll have a thread to share our creations here between all of us.

Players will optimise the fun out of any game when there are objectives to complete, seems to be human nature to take the path of least resistance.

The RS1800 Mk2 Escort and the Group 4 Rally Escort are already in, but the rally-version cost an arm and a leg in the auction house. Not buyable in the autoshow.

@LumpiestFish Props appear to only be part of the Super7 modes.

Probably best this way too. Some fan comments on YouTube etc. seem underwhelmed by that fact we cannot place the new objects in regular blueprint events. Well, not only would AI cars have a very hard time getting past all the obstacles to the point where it would be plain silly, and the franchise would also suffer an identity crisis if everyone started turning regular race events into crazy stunt challenges.

Got gifted a CCX. But it has no design on it.
Same. Not gonna lie, I was kinda disappointed there was no Christmas or holiday livery on it.

I got up this morning all excited to play Super7 and get my hands on that Austin. No such luck. There was an update for Horizon, but it was for the original Horizon. I’ll have to see what that’s about. Tonight after work I have to help my roommate move some furniture and then it’s Star Trek Discovery night with my best friend (yeah, I know it comes out on Thursday, but Tuesday is the only night he’s able to come by and watch a little TV.) so I won’t be able to play Horizon until very late tonight. I’ll be with the Discovery tonight, but I’ll be thinking of that Austin.
