I'm not a massive Mitsubishi fan so no biggie for me but I can understand why many people would be pissed. It all seemed to start post FM6 when VW was excluded in FH3.
The trend of manufacturer exclusions seems to continue. As mentioned, why does V-Rally and Gravel have Toyota (not to mention Toyota road cars in GTS) but Forza doesn't? Why has Subaru and Mitsubishi been excluded from V-Rally?

Very strange indeed.

Member the times when a sequel got you excited because all of the new content and improvements on top of the prequel? And developers delivered. The old Gran Turismo titles and the old Forzas.

Now when a new game is about to release, it gets you worried because all the stuff they might cut out, or things that they mess up.

I'm pretty sure that's always been the case.

The leaked Barn Finds are already on the official list. 15 in total.

FH3 released barn finds post release, featuring cars from previous games

I did played FH3... did you read my post?

I honestly have no idea what you're getting at and your recent posts just seem confrontational for the sake of being confrontational.

Yes, the barn finds that are in at launch are already on the list, but there's nothing to say they can't be added post-launch like they were in FH3.

You are wrong @Northstar . I don't want to confront any of you guys. The guy I quoted quoted another guy... I don't see any confrontation in it. On the other hand you seem to want to confront me at any cost... at least that appear from your latest posts.
Are you mad that I quoted a post made by a Moderator?

On the other hand Gravel by Milestone (recent release) with mud everywhere had Lancia, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Nissan and Porsche. I am not sure why some games are getting all cars and others are not. Makes no sense as you say. 👍
Got to be a licence disagreement. Or they don't want street cars in games anymore as they stopped making them. Maybe they said to Forza Crossovers and rally cars only allowed in your game and Forza said all or nothing. That makes sense. As why would the rally versions be in V Rally 4 ,3 weeks apart from Horizon 4.

Yeah I think the Mitsubishi thing is still allowing their rally cars in rally games, at least that’s how it looks to me.

Here is also a quote from the week in review:
The hundreds of cars listed above are just the start of our commitment to bringing Forza fans awesome cars to fill their garage. Look for more cars to come via the Forza Horizon 4 Car Pass, as well as more surprises to come with each new season in the game!
That bold line sounds to me like additional cars making an appearance in FH4 as well, probably even every week as the seasons change on a weekly basis. And those cars can be both brand new cars or returning cars from previous games.

Seasonal Barn Finds, perhaps?

Ugh, I guess that every day we are pushing more and more towards a "wait and see" approach with Forza. Oh well, it's not like the initial car list is lacking...

P.S. the Ford Ranger Raptor is also missing? Wasn't it slated to come to FH4 at launch? Or did I misunderstand?

Brian Ekberg said that the barn finds are already in the official car list.. it was on yesterday ForzaFriday stream.
Yes, and we know this. I'm talking about the addition barn finds added at a later date

That would be correct. Now we'll never be able to drive our 3/Ss in an open world game aside from Midnight Club Los Angeles. :banghead:

Not having a single Evo in what's likely to be an even more popular game than FH3 was is utterly ridiculous. I get that Mitsubishi knows people only like their long gone cars and being included in video games doesn't benefit them right now, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have past models in video games. Hopefully we'll get a rally/motorsport car from them in the form of DLC as we've seen from Toyota in FM7, but I'm not holding my breath.
I've always wondered why the 3/S's were excluded from the Horizon series in the first place considering the creator of Forza has stated in the past that he has personally owned one (could of even been his first car if IRC).
3/S's aside, we still don't get anymore Evos or Galants or even Eclipses and FTOs which is a real bummer. I mean it took me only until this week to realise there aren't any production model Toyota's in Forza 7 and that sucked as it is.
We can only hope they come to their senses in the future.

P.s evil looking Stealth you got there! ;)

I will reserve judgement on the list,as I do not believe this is the finished article yet, shame about Mitsubishi though, the Evo VI was my go to for exploring,oh well, there is plenty else to keep me occupied. :)

NO Mitsubishi and Rolls-Royce, also that hyper car from Mercedes AMG is missing (it was in the leaked car list). And if I remember correctly there was also a new super car from Aston Martin which isn't in this list. Hopefully this won't be the final list. Otherwise I'll just skip this one and buy FH5 instead, which I believe will be released on new console and will have a big improvement on graphics.

Those two might be dlc because they’re not out yet.

The new cars that were leaked are probably still in the making. It takes about half a year to complete one car for Forza.

Thing is, I remember last year just prior to Forza 7's launch. There were leaks containing the Alfa Giulia, 124 Spider, Colorado ZR2 etc and I remember being bitterly disappointed when I couldn't find them in the base game. Few months later arrived as DLC.
Same thing will happen with the new Griffith, Agera RS, Valkyrie, Project One and so on. They are understandably saving them for post launch. Good business sense.

For me, there are still quite a few new to the Xbox One/Forza franchise cars. In some ways, I'm more excited about the return of the Monaro VXR and the inclusion of the classic Morris Minor 1000, Ford Anglia and the Escort RS Turbo than yet more hypercars.

But then, I'm British so maybe that's why...

I know. I should have been more clear in my posts. You are right, there could be future addition of barn finds. It's the whole debate that this is not the final car list that confuses me and my writing. I will try better to make it more understandable in the future.

The car list choices made by T10/PG are so weird, so many great cars were left out. And I don't mean the missing brands, just.... stuff that doesn't make any sense:

* 1998 Aston Martin V8 Vantage V600 & 1977 Aston Martin V8 Vantage - These cars were in FH3 and now disappeared. For Astin we now have this huge gap in production years between the DB5 (1964) and the One-77 (2010). This brand now feels crippled and certainly not well represented anymore.

* Brands like FIAT and Opel who were already scarcely represented in the franchise have been cut down big time. Apart from the Abarth cars and Vauxhall there is only 1 FIAT and 1 Opel left now. Instead we have a whole army of Ford, Chevrolet, BMW, Audi... why? I like the game to be diverse with for each car division having multiple brands to choose from, not multiple models all from the same brand.

* 1972 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 - This car was so special and it's left out. At the same time we have both the AMG GT S and AMG GT R? Leaving the AMG GT S out for the 300 SEL 6.3 would have given more car diversity. And this is just one of many examples within a car brand. I bet the number of cars in the retro saloon divisions that are not BMW or Audi can be counted on one hand, if not on one finger... sigh. 300 SEL 6.3 you will be missed!

* I was really surprised to see the return of the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. I mean, I already have to puke from the amount of Camaros and Corvettes in the list... especially for a game set in historical Britain.

* The 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS returns while we already have the newer GT4 of the same generation. I absolutely hate to see multiple cars within the same generation of a model exist while for other brands an entire model gets left out.

I know it's impossible to please everyone with new car lists but other years at the brink of a new Forza game when I look at the list of what we will miss it's usually a few dozen cars or so where I think "aah too bad but in a way it makes sense". This year that list is about 100 cars and it makes no sense at all.

Well this is a first. Forza Horizon 4's Australian classification rating is now G (General). The previous three Forza Horizon games had PG (Parental Guidance) ratings.

EDIT: Whoops, I posted it in the wrong discussion thread. Can someone please move it to the "General Pre-Release News & Discussion" page?

Maybe the illegal street racing is gone this time around?

I know some are going to roll their eyes when I say this. But despite Mitsubishi and other cars not making the cut, it's not going affect my enjoyment in FH4. Besides, there are still plenty of cars in there for us to mess around with. 👍

Plus, don't forget that #Forzathon is still a thing, as well as the new addition of two cars a week plan by PG. So if hope is on our side, we can possibly see new cars get added, while other cars from past Forza make a return (except maybe for Mitsubishi, not sure what their problem is...)

So as the old saying goes: "Ain't even worried." ;)

You can say I'm being optimistic about this whole thing. It can't be helped as I really love the Forza franchise. :P

It hasn't really dampened my excitement either since it's an entirely new environment. Plus the route creator will hopefully live up to expectations.
