That's actually a really nice lineup!

I'm very pleased to see the Mustang GTD coming to the game, I loved it the moment it got revealed. Also happy to see the Nissan 240RS, Honda S660, Fiat Panda (which version though), Hillman Imp, Giulietta and the Ami are coming to the game. The Buzz and Porsche are ok, I suppose. I don't care for those two but hey, they're here.
Honestly, I think the Macan and the GTD are mostly there to take what would otherwise be a C- and D-class car update and at least throw in some higher-caliber cars, if you pay extra for the Car Pass. There'll probably be a non-zero amount of folks who'll cry foul about this update 'cause it's not sports cars or hot hatches, but at least the Car Pass will be there for 'em.

My prediction;

Series Reward:
2022 Honda S660 (New to Horizon) (Eclectic Domestics)

Seasonal Festival Playlist Cars
2000 BMW 323ti Sport (New to Horizon) (Retro Hot Hatch)
2022 Hyundai Kona N (Sport Utility Heroes)
2023 KIA EV6 GT (Sport Utility Heroes)
2011 Peugeot 308 GTI (New to Horizon) (Hot Hatch)

Bonus Autoshow/Aftermarket/Permanent Addition:
2018 Nissan Sentra NISMO (Super Saloons)

Bonus Random Car Pass Predictions;
2024 BMW X4 M Competition (Sport Utility Heroes)
1993 Mazda Lantis Type-R (Retro Hot Hatch)
2003 Nissan #34 XANAVI NISMO GT–R Skyline (Retro Racers)
2025 Subaru Outback Wilderness (Off-Road)
1 out of 9 success rate... I'll take it.

I have to say, what a great selection of cars this update - easily the best month yet IMO.

As I'm sure you're aware but I only just discovered, the 1936-55 model of the Fiat 500 was the original "Topolino" (at least by nickname) due to its similarly diminutive size.

He's the man who broke the car (or quadricycle?) in Monte Carlo. Weren't they only supposed to have blown the bloody doors off?

Those Forza Horizon 2 physics left something to be desired despite the realistic graphics and audio effects.

The Ami is a welcome surprise. It’s classified as a quadricycle rather than an automobile, meaning limited speed and range. Stellantis being Stellantis, the Ami has been badge engineered meaning it’s also available as the Opel Rocks and the Fiat Topolino. The Fiat is the only version available in the US.

The Topolino looks like a 500 fully inflated 🤣🤣

Seeing all these small cars being mentioned on the thread reminds me of this movie scene featuring a 1930s American Austin coupé.

I think this is the first time Horizon has ever reused a Series title. This was the... I want to say second Holiday Update series title?

Update's out, 1.9 GB on Steam. Makes sense, they're only bringing the Edamame Circuit back for Evolving World, so they only need the cars.

Oh my gods the Corolla SR5 is going to be back in the Hard-to-Find list again this month. That car's Auction House value is gonna drop like a stone if they don't just toss it in the Autoshow when this is all over. :P

I was right that Edo Circuit would run along the foot of Tokyo Tower, but was pleasantly surprised to discover that it's a Green Wristband B-class Modern Sports Cars event! That's actually pretty darn cool!

Anyways, car review time! As always, this is based on the stock cars.

2016 Honda S660 Alpha (D 393 Eclectic Domestics): Not a surprise, considering that it's a kei car--we can probably now conclude that this is where all kei cars will end up. But it's essentially now the top of D-class Eclectic Domestics when stock, taking that crown from the Toyota Sera. This mostly comes from the car's FR drivetrain--it may not have the edge in power, but it has superior launch and it can drift!

2016 Alfa-Romeo Giuletta Quadrifoglio Verde (C 498 Hot Hatch): Faster at full tilt than the 2023 Ford Fiesta you can find in the Autoshow, this is a great competitor in Hot Hatch. The only place it supposedly loses out is handling, but I think there's a valid case for it to be brought up to B-class and hang out up there. It's probably the best car in C-class Hot Hatch, which should be all the reason you need to try it out.

Before I go on, I just want to say--this update seems to be a Cult Cars update. The Panda, Hillman Imp, and the Ami are all classed as D-class Cult Cars, so I won't mention their PI and class here. That should make things easier for me this time. But I'll still touch on what they are and give honest reviews as I come to 'em.

1987 Fiat Panda: The second-best in D-class Cult Cars, behind the Hillman Imp. There, there's your spoiler. :P The Panda is at least AWD, but it ends up falling behind the Imp in terms of top speed. Still, it's worth checking out, especially for lower-class AWD events!

2025 Citroen Ami: No mistake about it, this is the upgrade fodder car for FH6. Only 8 horsepower, 1,000 pounds Imperial. Its entire raison d'etre in FH6 is to be given a radical new build. Heck, you can even find it in Upgrade Heroes, just to hammer that point home! Not much to say about this adorable little Lego brick other than that. Gonna be interesting to see what kind of tunes this thing can get!
1793645860447.webp

1966 Hillman Imp: The new king of D-class Cult Cars, not that that's saying much. You can also find it in Upgrade Heroes, but that could be a carryover from FH4. Definitely glad to see it, even if I never really drove it in my short time with FH4.

1793646185921.webp

2025 Ford Mustang GTD (S1 781 Track Toys): Finally, Ford gets a car that can hang with the big boys of S1 Track Toys! While technically about as heavy as you'd expect a Mustang to be, and even though its acceleration isn't as strong as its closest PI neighbor, the Huracan STO, it more than makes up for it by being fast enough to hang with them on the straights.

1793646830964.webp

2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz (C 420 Utility Heroes): There's a joke in that PI, I just know it. Anyone know why it's called the Electric Buzz in Forza, when it's the ID.Buzz everywhere else? Wonder if it's got anything to do with why the ID.4 didn't make the jump to FH6. Anyway, the ID.Buz--I mean the Electric Buzz is in a bit of a weird category, being in Utility Heroes. It's outdone by the El Camino in C-class, and it's not likely to see much use in the Playlist. It's a novelty is what it is, and that kinda saddens me.

1793647154573.webp

1983 Nissan Silvia 240RS (B 545 Rally Monsters): Interestingly, PG seems willing to make B-class Rally Monsters happen, and with Citroen being more cooperative I wouldn't be surprised if the BX4TC comes in to make it a party again. Not much to say, since they're all pretty similar, being Group B standard cars, but I'm sure historical livery painters will have a ball with this!

1793647240687.webp

2025 Porsche Macan GTS (A 647 Sports Utility Heroes): Continuing the interesting trend of Sports Utility Heroes being built for road racing, we have the Macan GTS. While it's not a BMW X6 M Competition, it can outdo its older brother the Cayenne and be slick about it to boot. Should be a fun time! Heck, if the Car Pass ended on this (this is the 28th car of the promised 30) I'd be okay with that!

That Citroen looks.... Interesting, but you know what?? Ya it will be fun. The Nissan 240rs is a car that should have been around a while ago so nice to see it show up now. Hopefully we can get some of the lesser Group B machines it raced with because there are some really interesting ones.

Panda is listed as AWD in the blog post.
That's of course the Panda Supernova 4x4by Steyr Puch!

Seeing the 1987 Fiat Panda in the latest list brought a huge smile to my face, but I know that to people outside Italy, it might just look like an ultra-basic, slow, utilitarian cardboard box on wheel... but here in Italy it's a huge cult ;-)

I am so glad we got that and in that specific version, about time racing games started to pay attention to our little domestic hero!

Ginetta is about 4-6% slower after the update.

From a meta perspective it may as well go in the bin.

Based on my testing the grip seems about the same as before, so it looks like Playgrpund targeted power or drag.

If I count, this car has only appear in a videogame: The Grand Tour Game. The Pandas in GT series are the Supernova 1000 Fire (GT4/GT5/GT6) and the Panda CL 85 (a 1st generation bridged with the 1st one of 1979 and the Supernova 1985-2002) (GT7).

The Panda is also like the magnum opus Giorgetto Giugiaro car design, as well, and evolved from the concept Lancia Megagamma. IMO it's his pinnacle car.

Giugiaro really had a hand for these hatchbacks in the 70s and 80s, the VW Scirocco, Golf, Polo, Fiat Panda, Uno, Lancia Delta and more were designed by him.

Basically the who's who of Euro-hatchbacks in the 70s and 80s
