Forza Horizon 6 - General Discussion

My tinfoil-hat theory is that Turn 10 was working on that connection, but rather than not being able to make it feel right as they said, they just ran out of time and needed to rush Fujimi Kaido out before the layoffs. The unfinished work was probably handed off to Playground, or is being continued by whatever remains of Turn 10, to be in FH6.

I'm cautiously optimistic for this game. I've been burnt too many times to feel any excitement, knowing this might be just another game where you're showered with cars and praise constantly, so that you can do the actual main content, the weekly playlists. They can convince me to play anyway with a good enough map and improved lighting so I can use Horizon as a photography simulator again. But I really do hope there's more to it than that.

It looks like the level designer has removed the video and deleted the tweet I saw about it. I assume they got in trouble for it. I never got a chance to watch it. Does anyone remember what they talked about?
He talked about wanting to upload more videos about level design and have a deep dive into that topic.
About FH6 he didnt say anything we dont know yet, just saying that if we want news for that game we would need to follow the official socials from PGG and Forza Horizon.

Thats all that i remember.

I have the video because I already suspected it was going to be deleted

One thing I'd like to see in FH6 personally is something which would greatly improve car customisation by a huge amount.

A lot of recent restomods, from the outside at least, take the original car shape and add both bigger modern wheels but also switch to interesting LED lights. Often they also exaggerate the bodywork to be wider, but that's harder to do generically.

Some examples of replacement LED lights which I think should be possible to introduce without a huge effort.

So what do you guys think? I'd say just adding a few types of restomod-style LED lights could give us a huge amount of freedom quite easily?

Bloody great shout mate. I love a good Restomod.

That TWR and Alfa Restomods are obscene, in a good way. Beautiful works of art.

(Ignore Babs he couldn't get away from filming)

I'm hoping that they do away with the FOMO playlist stuff. But somehow, I doubt it.
I think they probably feel they've "done enough" by having the Backstage Passes in FH4 and FH5 which will probably appear again at the end of FH6.
I mean, if you can wait 3/4 years, you don't HAVE to get the car every week. I've got about 50 cars that I am picking up gradually as they get added to Backstage.

Problem is, I'm like a little kid when it comes to new car content 🤣 Don't think I could wait 3/4 years knowing they're there. But if it were liveries, character costumes or "special custom" cars like in TCM or TDU SC where you would need to play at specific times of the day or for 7 hours a day to accumulate enough XP points, that's different.

Would a Forza Horizon work in Brunei ? Barn finds from abandoned royal cars lol

Apparently, he's had to sell the majority of his collection. But I don't feel sorry one bit for him. For decades, he was living the life of Riley and indulging decadently in his various hobbies. Boomerang 🪃 has returned.

I'm not sure the existence of the GR badge guarantees it's only a Toyota - there has already been the Copen GR Sport which was a variant of a Daihatsu model.

Maybe the reintroduction of previous playlists in both Forza titles has shown them that having them time limited, but not three years later is the way to go.

Backstage pass can be reworked such that it can be implemented from the start instead of waiting till the end of service to reduce FOMO.

You get to replay one season from any prior Series using 1 Backstage Pass. In theory this means that you can replay entirety of Series 1 (4 weeks), by getting 40 pts each week in Series 2. This can also allow for more player freedom because players can pick the exact week they want to replay (to unlock the car or to receive a duplicate). Just make sure that all the cars are doable with just the offline events.

It also means that if you start playing the game at Series 20, you will be able to unlock each prior season week by week and play all twenty series with no FOMO.

The majority of the collection has been put under the watch of Prince Mateen who is the person Larry tried to personally ask & gave him the run-around of contacting his office to set something up, but then declined because of a "busy schedule".

FH5 has had approx 50 million players, "despite" the weekly FOMO, so I really don't see a lot of change to the Forzathon, even with the "failure" of FM23.

"Names mean almost everything", as Ed Speleers once said

Easiest solution, really is to make every Festival Playlist car available in the Autoshow as soon as the monthly playlist expires, then this will follow with every succeeding update.

That way, the cars can be purchasable with in-game credits, but for those who want the cars for free and earlier than others, there's incentive to play.

So no one truly misses out, but remember that you'd still have to grind for the cars in question (especially if they're expensive ones).

Also reward cars from Accolades or Horizon Stories should also be available in the Autoshow once unlocked, as well as Barn Finds once restored.

I believe that's what The Crew did when its Wild Run expansion introduced exclusive cars that could be won each season (the 'summit' competition mechanic its sequels expanded on). The prize car was exclusive to those who had won it for a while (maybe a couple of months?) then became available to all players to buy. The incentive to play was for the early access and to show off your wheeled trophy for your high summit score, but latecomers weren't locked out for good.
