I’d go as far as to say Horizon is the only Xbox franchise (besides Call of Duty, but I wouldn’t even count that since that was never something they created) to even have any cultural relevance. Halo and Gears are undoubtedly big, but they all peaked around 15 years ago and nobody really brings up any of the titles past the 360 unless they’re a dedicated fan.Kinda funny how an Xbox title has reached wider cultural significance after many years of just existing. The uptick in Xbox's clout has grown considerably since the new CEO came in.
I mean, these things do happen:I think it's hilarious that the '98 Pennzoil GT-R is a barn find. A championship winning car would never be dumped in a barn! Nissan has the bloody thing in the Heritage Collection so it should've just been a prize car.
I’m willing to bet the devs took inspiration from this exact example, though I do agree that a championship winner from a factory works team wouldn’t have fallen into the same fate.
