The Gauntlet was really easy on Expert difficulty in an S1 Ford RS200. Those eleven minutes and change went past in a flash. Think I'm going to try it again to see whether the AI gets bumped up in difficulty the second time around. If not I'll attempt a Pro run.

By comparison, The Goliath was nerve racking on Highly Skilled. The last five minutes were a duel between my FXX bequeathed to me by the protagonist of FH1 (RIP) and bowie knife99's caporegime FelipeFVald's Ultima Evo while he was bending enough physics rules to make Montgomery Scott weep.

Maybe it's just me but one of the drivatars bears an unsettling resemblance to Steve Alvarez Brown of Super GT fame.

Maybe the whole gang is modelled on prominent YouTubers like him and HokiHoshi, lol. Good thing they didn't clone AR12's Nick Andrew or I'd probably be able to hear him whining about it all the way from Ottawa and the deafening decibel count'd drown out the sound of my engine.

I spent about an hour working on three-starring the Stadium Backroads Speed Trap on the west side of the stadium. 220 mph is a very ambitious goal. A nice break from it was getting a 300SLR gifted to me by a player whose screen name was entirely in Cyrillic.

Wow! That's just the spirit of Horizon, isn't it? I hope you sent a "Спасибо".

Seriously, though, I'm glad some of that fruit gummie-generated (small "k") karma is coming back to you.

Yeahhhh, that's kinda what I figured. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell VIP cars (haven't bought the Car Pass/Premium Upgrade yet) are locked to your garage, so you can't even put them on the Auction House, let alone buy them. The VIP cars also don't show up the the Autoshow, either.

Trouble is, I like to have variants of certain cars for particular tasks and/or event types, and I don't really want to rally-fy my Tacoma FE if I don't need to, as I genuinely enjoy using it as a tarmac racer.
yeah I'm a bit sad that they made certain cars like the 930 barn finds because they were great for having multiple copies since they could be built in many different ways

I can't get the trolli.com/xbox website to work, so I've asked our 🦸‍♂️ @Populuxe to pass the receipt onto someone else.

It will be annoying when we get to the end and I have one car missing but I'll survive. Probably 😬

On the plus side, I just got this...

PS I've got to be honest. I'm getting tired of the FOMO already... and we're only 2 weeks in!

will say to anyone who uses quick resume for FH6? Don't risk it.

had an issue last week (still looking to get fixed via the support page) where resuming and quickly moving back to FH would make a number of Liveries, Vinyl's and Promos become "Invalid Data"

besides that I am really enjoying Autumn

Sounds like a fairly straightforward reason why some people are getting catastrophic bugs and others aren't, on Xbox at least. I try to make sure to exit the game after each session.

I need to go out and grab some lunch or something because between the AI just...🤬 spawning every time I'm trying to do a speed trap, to the ridiculous cheating pieces of 🤬 in races, I'm going to revert back to my GT3 days where I would spend a ridiculous amount of time and effort just torpedoing and screwing the AI over. It was my only purpose in life until I were satisfied.

Though, at least in GT3 the AI could get stuck in the weird bug where it would reverse and accelerate right back into an obstacle.

You know, if you don't mind me butting in, I have to say I fully believe this game has implemented what I like to refer to as "Traffic Traps". It happens way too often. On speed traps, danger signs, even during races as you're trying to hit the apexes: traffic in the most inconvenient spot you could think of. I seriously think the traffic spawner isn't just randomly populating the map near you, it's trying to time the traffic/drivatars so that they intersect with your trajectory and make your life miserable. Conspiracy theory? Perhaps. But I've headbutted enough cars around blind corners to get suspicious.

Oh, you don't need to tell or theorize to me. I've lived it for every trap I completed.
Sometimes if you rewind the traffic disappears
I forgot this was a thing. And I turned rewind off too, even though it doesn't affect reward percentages any longer.
Try dropping Scott Tyler off the mountain during the Hakone Touge event. So satisfying.
This sounds amazing.

As someone who’s been working on 3-starring speed zones all day… yeah. I’m feeling this. It seems no matter how small and out of the way a road is, it’s full of AI traffic like the Shibuya Crossing at 5pm on a Friday before a bank holiday. Oddly, when I switched to the Valkyrie AMR Pro, the AI traffic became a lot less egregious.

Anyone else finding themselves sticking to cars for longer periods due to how good they feel and sound? I kept switching them like crazy in FH5.
Spent like 90% of my time in FH5 in the Hoonigan Ford Escort Cosworth.

The fact the AI is making left turns from the far lane is enough proof for me that someone from Rockstar got hired into Playground Games. :p

My working conspiracy theory is that they're using the AI from FH5... which still wants to drive on the right hand side of the road... instead of the AI from FH4... which drove on the left hand side.

I also have a theory that every second game is going to be in a country that drives on the left. Since we've already had the UK, Australia and Japan, FH8 is clearly going to be set on Malta or Cyprus ;)

I have finally yoinked the gold wristband and made it to Legend Island, and there's still so much left to do. :dopey:

I appreciated seeing Darius' cheating ass again, though beyond him...the others were just names pulled from a hat, no? Those weren't actual characters from 2-5, were they?

Does anyone still miss the Senna for any reason other than completion's sake now that we have the Sabre? @McLaren or another aficionado of the marque could probably reel off a list of differences to me but to my novice eyes it feels and drives very similarly.

It's even better when a Touge Showdown opponent decides to yeet off the cliff all by themselves.

Outside of the Tokyo Drift challenge at the actual Shibuya Crossing, I'm not experiencing this at all so I must be doing it wrong somehow.

Perhaps I was lucky enough to play the game early so the traffic hadn't built up yet or something. It took me a few tries before my hands remembered that speed and drift zone traffic is ghosted. The traps can be a bit of a handful, though. Perhaps there should be an option to ghost your own car for the approach.

Those drift zones are frustrating for me for completely different reasons. My nephew who's drifted cars in real life also finds it awkward. Maybe it's some hereditary deficiency amongst my family, or perhaps I'm using the wrong drivetrain for my non-existent level of experience.

Anna's behaviour in this video would seem to add credence to your theory. Perhaps they forgot to download the correct language pack.
Unfortunately Anna was behind the wheel at the time and she'd clearly had a few drinks as she was still following Mexican road rules. You're supposed to drive on the left in this country, love.

I only really started noticing this phenomenon in FH4, but it very well could apply to the first three games as well. I encounter this a lot in freeroam when trying to better my speed trap scores, where the traffic cars will be right in the apex or otherwise exactly where I need to be for the best driving lines. Happens during drift zones too when I'm about to enter one.

It actually happened so much in FH4 and FH5 that I started anticipating that they'd spawn in very annoying spots so I knew to take worse lines if it meant avoiding one of them. If I'm just zooming around in freeroam aimlessly this is no big deal, but when I'm trying to use the best line to get a good speed trap score, it's very annoying.

Now, imagine this issue without the QoL feature of being ghosted in speed/drift zones! That is what it was like before FH4, and it was very frustrating. Your otherwise very good run could be completely wrecked by a traffic car or drivatar that spawned in just the wrong place.

@sirjim73 being of Maltese descent, that would be absolutely amazing, but they'd have no excuse not to make the 1:1 island at only 17 miles long by 9 miles wide!

The abandoned Subaru dealer in Mosta would be a shoe-in as an Easter Egg, surely?!

Finally finished all trailblazers, the last one from the snow mountain is way harder than I thought.
The one with the 350 second time limit for 3 stars? I still haven't found an optimal path for that.

I think that, so long as they don't absolutely lip-service the country's motor industry like they did with Mexico, there's one very obvious choice which also happens to have the largest left-hand driving population... in the world.

And it also boasts a car technically (as in the company says it is) designed by Kazunori Yamauchi...
