Wow, winter really is no joke. @breeminator's Supra '20 grip tune may have had some trouble with the bots during the reign of bowie knife99 but it made short work of this week's seasonal time attack.

The anime livery style that annoys me are the skimpily dressed girls and those in bikinis where the players can see the character's rear end. Those are so darn tiring.

Those are the only ones I take issue with. Otherwise, as long as the content isn't explicit and it's not promoting anything egregious, then I've no problems with people running with whatever tickles their fancy.

The shortcut in race two of The Trial is interesting. I've seen the AI use it in single-player to great effect, to the point of having to use it too, but it seems to make very little difference in multiplayer.

I always tried to use the shortcut but it made near zero difference in Rivals either so I gave up and started taking the easy way around. That first right turn is a doozy.
 
I can’t help but lose a bit of enthusiasm to play whenever it’s a winter week honestly. It’s better than FH4s, now that at least roads are clear, but the game just loses the vibrancy that each of the other seasons have. If the map didn’t have a constantly snowy area (which is fantastic mind you, easily the best snow implementation since FH3 DLC), I’d maybe enjoy it more.

On the freeway, there’s a point where it splits in two. The racing line has you take the left side, but you can also take the right side without penalty. The red teams almost exclusively takes the right side. It’s not really a short-cut. More of an optional route.

On the contrary, I feel right at home when the winter season rolls around. :D
 
My first try at the Trial was a disaster. I chose the Viper FE. I chose poorly. A bajillion horsepower, RWD, and snow is a terrible combination. I was last in all three races. For my second attempt, I took my BRZ FE. I put snow tires on it first, which took it to S1/701. I managed to nerf it -1 by increasing the wheel size +1, putting it back in A class. I finished third in the first race, and fifth in the second. There was no need for a third race.

I tried the Trial with the Rockstar Trophy Truck with 1,750 HP and I just now realized that I forgot to make it AWD so no wonder why it was completely useless due to the wheels spinning and I ended up quitting after about 30 seconds in dead last. Then I did the BRZ FE with snow tires and bigger rims and my team won both of the first 2 races.
 
Just got over 15 million credits wiped clean off my account. Started a seasonal championship, thinking the game had stopped searching for a trial lobby. Then, mid-race, I get the notification to start matchmaking. I hit "X", it starts matchmaking me and claims to have put me into a lobby. Instead the game says I've finished 1st with all my drivatar opponents DNF. It send me back to regular free-roam and awards me 0XP, 0 credits, which I supposed makes sense, but also seems to lose all connection to servers. I exit the game, restart it, money gone.

What a weird occurrence.

It sounds like you need to delete your local save and start the game again so it reloads your cloud save. If this doesn't work I'd suggest you contact Xbox support as they absolutely shouldn't be able to wipe your credits without telling you first.

Those liveries come from the Lego sets that have already been on sale for a while.

The strange thing is that they are now giving them to all players, without the need to buy the Lego sets.

What I find odd is that they didn't make actual Lego cars like in FH4, instead it's just a simple livery.

As much as I like Lego, I hope they don't repeat a Lego themed expansion like they did with Hot Wheels.
