Does anyone know if there will ever be a gas mechanic included into this game? It seems like a pretty easy mechanic to add. Why do car games never take gas into account for gameplay immersion?
I don't know if any games that aren't trying to be sims or at least simcades (Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport, and the yearly NASCAR/F1 games) take this into account. I know Grand Theft Auto 6 is supposed to have it but that's an outlier.

This trial will have messy first corner pile ups and wall riders. I ran it 4 times with the #2 Audi and it gave me a high chance for clean runs thanks to it's massive downforce.

Random messes are probably not totally avoidable, I got pushed into the pileup once, a wall riding player flipped his car on a wall and went horizontal and I slammed into him, then had another wall riding player that had too much roll on a chicane and missed a checkpoint and taking me out, but I somehow remained on the track through all of them.

Popped on to do the seasonal challenges and the game froze right in the middle of the Eliminator. Won't even go past the loading screen despite waiting 10 minutes for it to sync.

4 months later and still major issues with this game in terms of stability. I've been finding myself playing it less frequently and at this rate, it's likely going to come to a point where I'll be uninstalling it. I'm honestly fed up with it.

I have to say this bodykit for the DR30 Skyline is a choice.

For anyone struggling with the Treasure Chest location, it’s here. I found it on the first try, but only because I’m familiar with the spot, having used it for photography quite a few times.
It’s here in a small car park in the center of the image where the two dotted green lines meet.

I wish it were easier to select a livery for your car out of the ones you've already downloaded. Pressing My Designs in the garage menu just gives you an unsorted mess of paint jobs for all your cars mixed up together.
i dont like when you just change colour for your car it counts it as a design !

Had a heck of a day in terms of new cars in my garage: not only did I get the Car Pass DR30, seasonal Starion, and the ever-elusive Dart, but I finally got all the points needed for the Cosmo, and I won a 599XX Evo in a wheelspin. Plus both the Trial and the other online race I did to get the playlist done were pretty much griefer-free, so hey. I haven't been playing as much as I was a month ago, but as part of a broader racing game agenda that also includes TXR2025, Assetto Corsa, and Dirt 4, I'm still enjoying FH6 -- it's not the be-all-end-all of racing games that I thought it might be, but it's also not the boring, miserable failure half of Reddit seems to think.

I feel the same way. So, I quit FH6 and played all the way through FH1. It was fun! FH2 is up next.

Do you have Speed Traps, Speed Zones or Drift Zones you’re still trying to ✮ ✮ ✮? Or you just want to test the top speed of your car? But all that gosh darned NPC traffic keeps getting in the way? Well here’s one “weird little trick” I learned from today’s Failrace video:

1. Go to your Estate, but stay in free roam.
2. Pause>Online>Rivals>Horizon Rivals
3. Select a racing discipline, track, and car. It doesn’t matter which ones you choose.
4. Start the race, then quit out.

You will then be returned to free roam, but other than other players who are all ghosted to you anyway, all traffic will be gone. Everywhere. The thinking is that, since you entered Rivals while in your Estate where the game does not spawn traffic, it acts like you’re still in your Estate when it returns you to free roam. I tested it. It works.

Countdown to this getting patched out in the next update: 3... 2...

Life Hack for finding paint designs for a particular car.

Get in the car you are looking for the design. Either a blank copy or one you've painted yourself.
Paint it an obnoxious color that will stand out, save it as a new design so it doesn't overwrite the current car if it exists.
Scroll through to find the obnoxious.
The paint designs for each model car are stored consecutively so they will be next to the obnoxious.
Delete the obnoxious design after since deleting it will put you back to the beginning.

It's an annoying workaround that we should not have to do.

Any paint change still saves a design, unfortunately

So the Seasonal Time Attack in B Class Super Hot Hatches, sounds pretty vanilla right?

Clearly the game thought so and decided to shift everything inside the stadium both off to the side AND upwards in comparison to normal and outside the stadium. 🧐

The video will show what I mean by that. 👍

Okay, that’s wild. I found it pretty easy. I made the time in my B526 2010 Golf R, but then again, I didn’t have to contend with a track displaced ten feet horizontally and two feet vertically.

THANK YOU. Too many times has my speed zone run been ruined because a Mercedes G-Wagon decided to spawn right in front of the driving line before I even start the zone in the first place, so I smash into it and it leaves me at 10 mph when I hit the first speed zone gate. I wish they'd just make that an official feature, but hopefully they don't fix this. Given their track record lately with "fixing" useful things however...not too confident.

Forza Horizon 6 with DLSS5 looks absolutely incredible!

I have a particular dislike of most of the stuff that DLSS5 is producing in these videos as it's not being trained on the relevant game (as it can't, based on the available version) so it often produces really weird looking results. However it does make me wonder if it could be used partially by developers to aid with things like the reflections in the road surface.

Is it interesting, as someone in the games industry? Very much so.
Is it worth the impact on the environment? Absolutely not (and I'm aware that DLSS5 is nowhere near as impactful on the environment as LLMs)
