Anyone notice Shift 2 with only a measly .23 million xbox 360 sales  Hopefully Porsche will get these numbers someday and jump ship.

Sorry but Shift2 is still a great game. They made good use of the Porsche. Also being Porsche was in NFS titles as well...and they always sell well, even the crappy ones, I am sure Porsche isnt crying about it.

Race Pro is so under rated, it's a shame.

I totally agree. IF someone has not played it, I highly suggest you do. Then again S2 was also underrated.

You mean by only adding one new porsche and importing old ones from Shift 1?

Yeah, sure.

It's actually not a bad marketing technique, there are people out there who purchase games featuring Porsche for that reason alone.

Sooo...by your logic if they didnt add more of them in S2 its a bad use of them? Oh...

Dunno since I didnt play S1. They had a nice selection of Porsche in the game S2 and added some great ones in the Legends pack too.

Dont need to get all sour grapes because they are not in FM4 (at launch at least).

I have the right to because EA steals great cars and usually puts them in crappy games.

So EA went and stole Porsche? There wasnt a contract put forth between Porsche and EA that both agreed to? Wow. EA actually went and stole gaming code so that nobody could use it?

Seriously, try and have a grown up conversation.

By 'steal' she meant bought the rights so no-one else could use them, think outside the box a little...

Instead of thinking outside the box, how about she doesnt over-exaggerate? Stealing and having a contract between 2 companies is a stretch is it not?

IF thats the case MS stole Ferarri! Oh noes...

People mad and blaming EA like it was only one sided. Come now..

It is, MS stole Ferrari? So you missed it when Dan from Turn10 said they didn't want exclusive deals because he wants all games to share all cars?

EA asked T10 if they could use Ferrari and they said yes, but only if they continued to let T10 use Porsche. EA declined, so thus the whole thing starts.

Yeah...your butthurt over the Porsche thing, I get it. There was a thread about it already. Can we move on?

Vaxx why do you defend EA so much?
Shift 2 had to be the worse game in the world.
literally.
magnetic cars, Glitched DLC, etc...

DO you love it for the tracks?

It isn't, far from it.

A very good racing game at all fronts, save some steering lag issues on console and slower PCs. The AI is among the best in the business, and the only game so far that does body roll and weight transition on older cars correctly. The cockpit modelling on PC is streets ahead of everything else, lighting engine is versatile and game looks good without very high poly models. sound is best on console, list goes on and on and on.

I am wondering what does Magnetic cars mean?

Apart from the cars feeling like they've got ice for wheels (essentially ruining the game) it's pretty good.

Whats the point of Unicorns?! Why not just make them avaliable? I hated that I never owned a RX7 Type R. -_-

Not sure if you know but if you preorder and sign up for the preorder incentives you can get the RX7.

I don't think the Aventador will be in at all, apparently EA now own exclusive rights to that car too..
It's looking like it will at some point. When this posted, BADNED replied with the following.

How can individual cars be purchased anyway?
I imagine it will be similar to TDU2?

Perhaps he likes it because he has a different opinion regarding it than you do....

I do love it for the tracks, among other things. Dont get me wrong, it IS a buggy game in many areas, but it also excels in more. It wasnt playable until after 2 patches, yet there are still issues. But tracks, cars, sounds, tire model, body roll, tuning, the great AI, the fun single player campaign, and...did I mention the tracks? I am guessing most people that didnt like shift didnt take the time to get into it. It isnt a pick up and play game. It did take time to tune the cars to even make them drivable, but damn once you did it was great.

And worse game...ever? Thats is a pretty bold statment. Unless you have only played 2 games in your life, its also a very dumb one. But hey..your opinion, and you are entitled to it.

And I dont defend EA. I wished the NFL never signed a deal with them to be honest. But unlike many people on this forum, I dont cry about sour grapes, or look for something to "hate". I know EA and the NFL made a deal...so I move on, and deal with it. I wont buy a Madden game....no not because I am boycotting them like other nuts, I just dont care for the games. I guess, I am not a fanboy, and dont have to jump on a side and fight the other side.

I think he hates purpleish/pink cars. :) I am not the only one that enjoys S2 I see.

Correct sir.

And I agree about your thoughts that it will come sooner or later. The winky smile face is there for a reason.

I'm a huge GT series fan but among my most favorite games is the NFS Porsche Unleashed. I have been playing that game for 5 years, first time in 2001 and last time this year, it was a huge nostalgia for me, love that game. After that, however there was no NFS that would interest me... and then Shift came out! even though it was kind of arcadish compared to GT but I totally loved it, especially with Force Feedback and FULL compatibility that it offered for my G27 wheel. The Shift 2 came out, it maybe has better graphics but the FF is not as good as in Shift 1 and there is a slight latency, at least i feel it. Apart from that, however the game is great and fun to play, not a real sim, no! But as I said it is fun to play and the sound is great as well.

So much for the Aventador being exclusive to EA.

Regarding Shift2:
There's a lot of stuff Shift 2 did very well, better than T10's or PD's efforts, at least. And I'd hope that they're looking at Shift 2 and take notes in some areas. Cockpit modifications were great, the DLC was awesome, the AI the ebst in the genre, in my opinion. The sound was also very impressive, especially the stuff that wasn't related to the engine sounds... Squeaking suspension, whining transmissions, debris hitting the fenders, you get the idea. Shift 2 also had widebody kits available, something that even Forza is lacking. Also, the track selection was spectacular and Autolog obviously good enough to inspire T10 to implement their own version in FM4. Also, for the limited amount of cars, the car list was pretty spectacular, too (especially considering that ~50% of the cars doubled, since the Works version was so radically modified).

That said, EA securing exklusive deals left, righ and center still annoys me.
