Forza Motorsport 7: Auction House

1. Most of the cars I want to sell, I can't.
2. I can't sell specialty dealer cars for a penny of profit
3. Adding paint somehow makes a car worth millions
4. You can't search for, and presumably cannot buy any locked cars in the game.

Considering the level up rewards system, I'm not sure I see much of a point to this auction house.
All I can do is buy cars that I can already buy. Even if it's "cheap" it's more expensive than getting one on a level up reward.

I guess it's for buying/selling designs, for millions of credits, that can either be had for free, or have something similar for free?
 
With the 400,000 discount (does it ever get any higher than that?), I can get most of the cars I need/want cheaper, assuming they appear as a level up buy.

That's the thing. Any car that can't be a level up reward, can't be sold in the auction house. (except regular dlc, which you already have if you can have it)

So you can buy cars that you can already buy, and you can buy unique paint jobs. Unless I'm missing something?
 
Sold almost all of my duplicate cars. Just need these four to go

Sold all of my extra cars besides those and went from 1 million to 6 million credits.
 
I can't sell any of the Halloween Bash cars, can't even remove them from my garage or sell them back to the game itself :grumpy:

I was hoping to auction them off so that people who missed out on the promotion can get them, but right now that's not possible.
 
Seems I can't buy hoonigan cars either as I didn't do the pre-order. What is the point of auction houses if you can only buy cars readily available to buy from the dealer?
 
I'm honestly thinking that this may be the absolute worst rendition of the Auction House to ever grace a Forza game. It really pisses me off that I can't actually buy a second Ford Crown Victoria or Ford Fiesta ST to do another build. I've got a decently set up A class Crown Vic build, and I'm not sacrificing it to build another one that might not potentially work. I know that I can just create multiple tuning setups for the same car, but that's beside the point.

I'm really hoping that this isn't the final rendition of the Auction House, because it really just seems like an afterthought. It's almost pointless too with this game's economy. What was wrong with just giving us Forza Horizon 3's Auction House and calling it a day?

The hoonigan cars are no different to any other DLC. You would need to have owned the DLC pack beforehand to be able to use any DLC cars obtained in the auction house. As I found out to my annoyance when Turn Ten gifted me a Super Trofeo Huracan from the All Stars Motorsport DLC in Horizon 3....

Which pretty well renders the auction house useless to me as all I was after was that one rx7 that I didn't get by going for the physical copy.

I went for the physical copy too but was lucky to get a Hoonigan pack code from someone who won a code through the Xbox Keys comp in US-they already had the pack so they were kind enough to give the spare out to someone who wanted it. Big thanks to SN95NIK on here. Dont know if the comp is still running though.
 
Can anyone buy the FE cars from the dealer?
I've noticed I can buy another Escort Cosworth FE for 105,000Cr, and then apply that nice "Monster" design (by StealthArtist) to it for FREE. Yet, I see it constantly for sale on the auction house for many millions :confused:

You can only buy some of the FE cars, others like the VIP gift FE cars, you can't. I bought the Nismo GT-R and put it up for sale and got half of what I paid for it. Later on tonight I think I might buy another GT-R and put the Mine's paint job on it and upgrade it out of the class maybe to race. I've been using the FE cars an awful lot to re-up my credits.
 
Sold all my duplicate cars. I’m done with the auction house for now unless I get more cars from prize crates.
 
Hmm another thing that annoys me, is that if you get overbid on a car, your not getting any notifications. So you have to sit and look at your bids till they run out.
 
Kinda happy I didn't remove the huge amount of prize cars I got from level ups (nearly level 500 now). And hopefully this means I'll be able to buy a 2nd Crown Vic soon.
 
This is the GT-R LM I won from the Forzathon, by the way. Not the one from the Specialty Dealer that was there during the first week of the game. It allowed me put up a car I didn’t buy. I seriously don’t get it.

I bought few of each Escort FE and GTR FE on cheap,put some paints and sold for +400k creds when i was low after spec dealer renew.
Sometimes takes time to sell,but there is always a buyer for a car somewhere :D
 
While it appears that T10 have allowed all cars to be sold in the auction house, it looks like some Forza Editions still can't be sold in the auction house.

Any FE's obtained by completing one of the cups can be auctioned.

FE's gifted to VIP's have no "Auction Car" option.

FE's obtained through level ups just show this:
