Feels this basically adds yet another nail to the Motorsport Franchise.

With yesterday's increase in GPU, I'm sure it's going to do wonders for the playing population, I'm subbed till 2027 as a leaving gift from my old team, but pretty sure I won't be renewing then.
I unsubscribed, so I won't be able to play any more in a week, so I'm in that category unfortunately. When Black Friday/Cyber Monday comes around is the only time I'll redeem it.

I have no clue what MS is doing anymore & it's pushed back to my youth as a Playstation owner.

The only thing I can think of is they're milking their core base until they pull the plug, why else would they seemingly inflict a massive self wound if it's sustainable? But god knows MS move in mysterious ways

Is this game finished? Not seen any new content for a while, just multiplayer seems to get updated
While it hasn't been said officially, it more or less is really. All the signs are there, none of which spell anything good. The silence or lack of acknowledgement of the situation only makes it worst.

Man I was really hoping for a PS5 release maybe that would had giving it a second life but you maybe right looks like FH is there main racing now.

Whilst i have enjoyed bits of the game, i found it to be alway missing the ‘fun’ of Gran Turismo- and definitely FM has made me a much worse driver, when i played project cars, i regularly finished on the podium, same on Gran Turismo and AC . But with Forza and i always finished near the back. I cant work Out why though 🤷‍♂️ So farewell Forza, we have the latest project cars about to drop and AC evo is coming soonish-iam honestly not going to miss Forza when they release.

I couldn't possibly disagree more. Gran Turismo has brought nothing but disappointment. The races are horrible. Starting a race with the lead car already half way around the track is absurd. The physics are terrible. The FFB is terrible. What fun? Grinding so you can have some 20 mill car? If you're a worse driver on FM then you wouldn't like any actual sims at all I'm guessing.
Nothing like Project Cars is coming. Project Cars is over even though some of the people who made it are working on a new game. I bet it's fun to come in here and bash Forza Motorsport, but for me, I still turn it on. I haven't installed the last 6-7 updates for Grind Turdismo 7.

I should’ve said iam playing Gt6 still. I haven’t played 7.

Holy smokes. Ya, I would have took a remake of GT6 before GT7. Sport got you interested in what they were doing but Sport 2.0 being called GT7 was weak. Some weather and tuning was added. And for some weird reason you can't even have weather on all the tracks.

I like sims. I like the racing. I like physics. While going into Forza Motorsport (this is my first one), I was ready to be disappointed. I wasn't though. The huge amount of settings, the physics, the FFB, all surprised me. It's right where it needs to be. Not a complete sim but edging into that territory. It's a great laid back racer that satisfies a lot of categories when you don't want to get completely serious with full sims. And on top of that, one of the latest updates that fixed the AI some more made it even more usable.
I'm not going to come in here and be a negative nancy, I think we could possibly see more updates and content coming. They have said nothing to the effect of abandoning FM. The fact that they continue on with posts and online activity does give a little bit of hope.
I think it would be wild in a business standpoint to have this big product that you created and a brand name that you've established for decades, and this is how it just fizzles out? I don't think so. I think that this stir up has created obvious issues and I would hope that it's created just a delay in activity and not a complete abandonment. Which as we can see, they have not completely abandoned FM. However announcing Forza Horizon 6 was unsettling. I personally don't care for Horizon.

GT7 has lots of problems but the physics are far from terrible, though the game is not as good to play on a pad as Forza is, that's always been the case

People often say Forza lacks soul, but I feel the opposite, the ability to do matchmaking in open classes, user liveries in single player, all made the game feel lived in to me, GT7 feels stale in constrast.

I caved in and bought a PS5 yesterday, i've been playing GT7 every now and then on my PS4 Pro for a couple years, but it was always a compromise on my setup as I use a 1440p on my rig so the game looked somewhat blurry on 1080p or 4k. It just makes me sad for the current state of Forza, GT7 is... fine, but it lacks a lot of the stuff that makes Forza special. Unfortunately, in my timezone, GT7 is the only sim now that has lots of people playing in the evening when I get to play, maybe PMR will change that, will see, but I've been playing ACE and RR lately and it's just not fun registering for a race in RR and in the TCR's get a single split.

I just want someone to tell me why iam so slow on Forza , yet iam fast on AC and project cars. I feel like i had to brake early and the corner entrance and exits are so much slower in comparison to AC and PC . Surely others have this issue?

It would help to know a couple things.
It shows you have a wheel in your signature so if you're using a wheel, can we assume you have all assists off and are using sim steering?
What car class are we talking about? All of them?
What are you doing for setups if anything? Are you checking to make sure tire pressures are in the right range? Some cars come with pressures too low and this causes a loss in grip and sluggish feeling. Are you zeroing out the "suspension geometry" settings that are by default, creating understeer and over stability?

I don't use ABS and I feel like I can still brake super late compared to sim variants. With ABS on, even shorter.

Slow relative to who? I believe there are filters and hidden assists for controller users using normal steering that help immensely with front grip overall and keeping the steering angle perfect and rear lateral grip and not allowing over-rotation, vs. wheel users using sim steering, just like every other Forza title ever. They know their core audience, after all. Plus they have the trigger haptics helping out with the throttle and brakes where we have to figure it out using visual and audio cues, which other games frankly do better. I think the overall underlying physics models are very good for the most part but occasonally there's some little thing that makes you think, same as most other games to be completely honest.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn today that even though I cancelled my game pass, I started the steam version for the first time and it synced my save and settings and even achievements from the game pass version. I was not expecting this and was prepared to start over from the beginning. I don't think this was the case for FH5 from what I remember unless something has changed.

Yeah, FM2023 was the first Forza which provided cross-save between Steam and Xbox.
Hopefully FH6 will go one step further and provide cross-save between Steam, Xbox and PS5... But we shall see.
