Instead of keeping this locked within the general chat thread, I figured it deserved it's own.

Elite Series

The Elite series will utilize the game’s Rivals mode, with a new Qualifier posted each Monday starting August 8. Players will then have three days to set their top times, with the top 128 seeding the ESL-hosted qualifier held on the following Saturday. From that event, the top 16 players will race against each other on Sunday in a Showdown for four spots to the season finale, to be broadcast on Forza’s Twitch channel.

Each week, the four Showdown finalists will also be eligible to win the newly-released Xbox One S console, Xbox Elite Controllers, and wheels from Logitech.

At the conclusion of Week 3, the 12 finalists will race against one another for the chance to add the Focus RS to their real-life garage. This final race is also scheduled to be broadcast on the official Twitch channel, on September 4.

Open Series

The Leagues mode of FM6 will host the Open Series, grouping players with similarly-skilled competitors as the vie for the prizes. It too will kick off this coming Monday. Each week will run the same cars as the Elite Series (Mustang GT, Formula Ford, and GT Le Mans), on a rotation of tracks. Prizes will arrive in the form of DLC for the game, covering anything from the Porsche or NASCAR expansions to the FM6 Car Pass.

Unlike the Elite Series, Turn 10 have not put a number on how many players will be eligible for these prizes each week, but they too will require players to register at ESL to be eligible.

Open Series Week 1 League: August 8–14
Starring the 2015 Ford Mustang GT and a variety of tracks

Open Series Week 2 League: August 15–21
Starring the 2013 Ford Formula Ford EcoBoost 200 and a variety of tracks

Open Series Week 3 League: August 22–28

The Falcon and Escort will both come with special liveries relating to each week's competition. Neither one requires the player to sign up for ESL.

In the ESL portion of the Elite Series, the top 4 finalists each week will also be eligible for prizes such as Xbox One S consoles, Elite Controllers, and Logitech wheels.

In the Open Series, players will be able to win FM6 DLC each week. T10 hasn't mentioned how many people will be eligible each time, but have said the packs up for offer are the Porsche and NASCAR Expansions, and the Car Pass.

How much effort does it take to sign up with ESL?

Might try the open league... But I don't know if it's worth the effort. I think my best times are usually 15-30 seconds from the top time.

+edit
Popped in the Fiesta practice... 20 seconds off the top time after two laps. Although better than I expected because I just recently started racing without the braking line.

Why do we even need to sign up with ESL?

Figured I'd post up my times as a light challenge, in an effort to get the community involved more. Sure, they're just practice, but it'd be nice if a GTP person made it far in the actual event!

Rivals Event: ForzaRC: Fiesta Test
2014 Ford Fiesta ST @ Sonoma Short
01:32.136 (currently 223/3510)

Rivals Event: ForzaRC: Dry Lake Raptor
2017 Ford F-150 Raptor @ Laguna Seca
01:54.459 (currently 110/2485)

Rivals Event: ForzaRC: Focused and Ready
2016 Ford Focus RS @ Lime Rock Full Alt
01:05.637 (currently 54/1234)

The cycled Ford hopper can be fun, but be warned: the dirtier drivers seem to be attracted to it. :-/

Just got a Rivals Recommendation for the "ForzaRC S1W1 Rivals Qualifier Rivals Challenge on Monza Full"
Looks like we're heading to Monza, boys and girls. Best of luck. The challenge itself is unavailable, but it'll probably be up very soon.

Pssst, @ZDUPH - We already knew it would be at Monza (in the '15 Mustang GT). Check the schedule in the OP! :P

Currently (or not, as it was a few hours ago and it might have changed) sitting 151st in the Americas/415th in the world at Sonoma in the Fiesta, I might have a few more tenths in it but so far, so good.

Stealing Slipztrem's format

Rivals Event: ForzaRC: Focused and Ready
2016 Ford Focus RS @ Lime Rock Full Alt

Might be worth having a little GTP leaderboard up in this thread so we can work off each other to get better laptimes?

Interesting to know that viewers of the final will receive DLC for Forza 6. Anything from individual car packs, to the car pass and expansions.

By the way, for the Rivals events and showdowns themselves, car have to have no upgrades and a stock setup, right?

The DLC packages look somwhat easy ( maybe time consuming ) to obtain.

Open league week 1. Finish in top 50 % and recive Car pass DLC.

Open league week 2. Finish in top 50 % and recive Porche expansion DLC.

Open league week 3. Finish in top 50 % and recive Nascar expansion DLC.

Currently in the ForzaRC Cycled Production hopper. Found a neat little trick. If you ever race on Hockenheim Ring Full (the one with the rediculously tight right-hand turn) in the 2017 Focus, try powersliding around that turn instead of taking the turn normally. I was making up so much time on the leader using that method. Ended up finishing 2nd out of 6. Not too bad.

Great, I lost my apartment just before this goes live. Now I have no internet, so I have to miss out on the Unicorns. :(

Maybe you could ask a friend of yours that you trust to login to their Xbox with your account and just run a few laps for each event so you don't miss out.

Possible, I don't care about the competition and even I know I am waaaaayyyy to slow to do well.

Just doing what I can to get the unicorns. Certainly not good enough to set decent times.

Ok, there's something weird going on with the leaderboards. I set a clean 2:07.5, but have a 21:43.714 on the board. Even the top guy has a 2:13. What the hell?

I'm going to give Monza another try, for some reason; it didn't record my time correctly. I did a 2:05 on the track and it said 7:05.

Seems there's a problem in the event for a lot of people. It's recording the total time instead of the fastest laps, much like the FM6 Demo did.

Hope it gets solved quickly, not a great foot to start on. :-/

It's working for me now and I was mistaking when I said "2:05". It was "2:19" or something.
I just set a laptime of 2:18:125 on the track. Not that great, but I'm just doing this for the Escort. I also entered a league race and won. Now, I'll wait for my Fords.

So, if I get this right, you only have to participate and finish 1 League race to get the Falcon Phase III, yes?

Thanks for the speedy replies, guys. I have to say, I'm quite enjoying this league, though it can get a bit intense...a little too intense sometimes, considering for some reason I'm in the Pinnacle division...
