If you're gonna compare a game. you compare it by its platform. Not on a different platform. The XBox is a different system than the PS2.

Since the first gameboy. Sonic was also on the game gear, and that was the sole. But it has also been on Gameboy for ages.

They are two different games, on two different systems. And Forza doesn't seem to be about Automotive history and heritage, GT is. And Forza is a first in it's series, GT4 is the 4th or 6th if you count the concept games. GT4 will feelfar more refined and probably have a larger # of cars. But hearing everyone make these topics about it over and over and talking aout how Forza will have better online and GT4 will have this and Forza that, HELLO! is the url for this website www.forzaplanet.net or www.gt4vsforza.net? How about ppl who like both GT and Forza? And what's wrong about comparing two games in a similar genre? The only prob i see is ppl who make prejudgements on games that they have never played.

We all know that GT4 is gonna be a great game because they have proven themselves. But how do ppl know that Forza is not gonna be a good game? If you don't care nor want to talk about it fine, just don't be part of the conversation. No one told you to type and hit the post reply button.

Are multi platform games drastically different depending on which platform they are on? No. There is no game on any console that can no be converted to another. So yes we CAN compare two different games on two different consoles.

I really don't see the harm in talking about the differences in the driving model, or game structure etc. As long as it can be kept civil that is... Actually yeah, better not give the kiddies something to fight over.

Just like how you can compare a Ferrari Enzo to a McLaren F1. They're both different makes, with different engines and different specs 'n' all, but they're still both supercars. Because they're in the same class, and because they're both trying to accomplish the same thing, it's fair to compare them to see which one is the best, just make sure you test them BOTH first. Same thing with GT4 and Forza Motorsport. They're both on different platforms and are using different game engines and the such, but since they're both in the same genre and trying to pretty much accomplish the same thing, it's fair to compare the two the see which one is the best. Still, just like with comparing the Enzo and McLaren F1, you've gotta test BOTH of them first in order to do things the fair, honest way.

I've just seen a Forza E3 coverage video , and it looks nowhere as real as GT4. Car models are worse than PGR2 or Apex and environments are too flashy to fool us. Well , kinda 75/100 graphics or even less.

Not long at all, and thats irrelevant im referring to sonic 1 on mega drive, and mario world on snes. one of the first "battle of the platformers"

forza is a touchy subject because of the fact that so many people are a fanboy of either the ps2 or the xbox platform.
I'm above all that as i'm a Nintendo fanboy who just happens to own a ps2 and an xbox aswell
