Monday at 3pm? Isn't that kind of a slap in the face to the west coast crowd? That's 11am on a weekday. I vote for Friday.

Allot of people like myself have Monday off since X-Mas is the day before. BTW, isn't that 12 noon?
 
Monday works for me, guessing this is just a ''Holiday'' exception, then the races will be back to a weekend day?

That's correct. I'm not going to be home this weekend. Next week will be back to Saturday and don't forget the following Saturday I plan on starting our club championships.
 
Hm, friday is 3am for me, I probably will be doing this alot at that time: :cheers:

Thanks for the support. I was still having some slight freezing issues while loading which is what happened during the follow up races this past Saturday. Sunday night I took the xbox back apart and did some more fine tuning but couldn't seem to get it perfect but it was running decent. So... I deleted everything on the hard drive except FM4 since that is all I use the xbox for and made enough room to install disk 1 with 2.5GB to spare (I hope this is enough room for all the DLC to come :nervous: ) and now the console seems to be running perfect. No hangups at all since I installed disk 1. :D
 
That Aston is really a beast! I managed 1:49.345 or something without driving aids, with a few mistakes. Then against all my instincts I decided to try it with the TCS on. Instantly improved by over a second! You need really really accurate pedal work to keep this kind of car in check! Quite the same as the Vette we drove earlier! :p
 
^ Wow! Great lap Forcone. I was .300 behind you and now it's almost 2 full seconds. Yeah that thing is a beast but boy is it fun to drive. :D

I haven't played in a few days....I'll give this a try tonight. My expectations for doing too well aren't that high though. :nervous:

I dont see whats so bad about using TCS on cars that have 300+ hp. The car is tough enough to keep it in line on slight bends.

Though if we are on the subject of aids why dont you try it without ABS?

Also Forcone, Deadly DC and i are all under 1:49:xxx.

Seriously, Forcone I'm glad I can stay with ya in some of the drift events buddy.:)
 
Becaus I think, TCS is making life so easy so quickly it's almost impossible to screw up. I don't think Abs is making life so much easier, but I'll turn it off from now on 👍

I did a 1:48,494, without Tcs and with Abs. I don't think I can go faster without Tcs.

Great time! And yes, I don't really like using TCS as you may have noticed, I just wanted to try it because this one is such tail happy - but great fun without the TCS! :) ABS is something I always used before in FM3 and GT5 but then I noticed I don't really need it. I never lock up without it, you can always adjust the brake pressure. Mostly I disabled it for drifting though, you can do all kinds of new tricks with locking tires. :D

edit: More to the point, I don't really mind people using TCS. Personally, it usually makes me slower because it bogs the power down in places where I don't want it to. These kind of superpowerful cars are another story, when you get tire slip in almost every situation (which I normally enjoy, as does Thatman :D)! I think TCS is a good option for many drivers, and it's good this game can be played by all types of players, and all of them can enjoy it in the way they please! :)
 
The loaners are in the garage. There are 2 this week. The gray one is AWD and the red one is RWD.

Do any of you guys like to race online? If so, what days and times are you usually on? I only see 1 or 2 club members on whenever I'm playing...and they hardly ever accept invites to race online. :(
 
^ Lately Iv'e only been online to qualify and to setup cars for our weekly races and the race itself. Been playing allot of PES 2011 on the PS3 lately.

I don't really mind it either, the option has to be there. But for me, it feels like cheating. And becaus you guys are all pretty serious and putting down some fast times, I was like: noooooo don't make it yourself so easy!

What are your laptimes with the Escort? I made a RWD and AWD version, and the AWD is a little bit faster, but only by 0.3xx..
 
I was running low 51s consistently and had a quick lap of 50.8xx. Im running AWD. The red RWD loaner ran a 51.1 but it wasnt as consistent with me driving. Its definitely capable of running below 51 sec though.

Maybe just a tad but it's not bad off the line. If your consistent with RWD then the .2 you lose off the line on the first lap should be easily made up.

Glad to see I'm running close to what you are. I'm getting consistent mid 51s with my AWD setup...53s with the RWD. :) I've only put in about 10 practice laps with each setup though, so I can probably do a little better.
 
Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. Just joined the Club and had a look around in the Club's garage and test drove a couple...Man yall got some fast rides....Enjoyed. This is the first "club" that I have been in with so many members. So dont think Im a dork if I ask a stupid question here or there. Ive been looking at this thread and this is what I gather so far...

A weekly track/car is selected to qualify on. But I have a couple questions

This car is MY car tuned to a certian class or a car from the Club garage?
How are qualifing times collected and posted?
How long do I get the chance to qualify?
Who ever gets into the race with the best qualify time, do they all get in a private lobby and race???

There is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers. So ask whatever you want 👍

When a race is announced, you have to qualify. We qualify in Rivals mode, this is only 1 rivals mode (changes every week), wich one is also posted with the announcement. The top 16 times get an invite to the race. When there are only a few people online, the whole club is invited so if your not qualified you could still join the race. The car you have to use, can be your own, however, you can only use that one car that is announced to use, and it must be in the same class. So now it's C class Escort Cosworth. Everyone can make their own C class Escort. Chris also makes a loaner car, wich you can find in the club garage. Everyone can use this loaner car, I used it twice and the setup is pretty neutral.

This monday, it will be the last race of this year. In 2012 we are going to use a leaderbord. Like in F1, who wins the most weekends, will be the 'World Champion'.

If you go to that Rivals mode, you can check out our times. The top 16 will get the invite and will do the 20 lap race at Catalunya School Circuit with the C class Escort.

Go online around 3 pm est today, if there are only a few people online, you'll get the invite too.
