Your killing me with this event ZR1. I hate these dumb cars on this dumb track! Why can't the game let me keep my sanity and let me run my freaking Cuda!

Ah, that's done.(as in I voted) 50% is serious business. But when my paycheck comes around I plan on getting the Regular wheel, then the elite pedals and finally the shifter.

Sorry bro. Good news is we will be running multiple random races on Saturday that will allow you to use your Cuda. :D

OK...I just want to ask a question to everyone...Does anyone else spend an hour or 2 trying to be someone in Rivals mode?

I did have a 11.03 before the leaderboard wipe...then I got a little burned out of that event. I wish the drag races let you just keep on attempting the race instead of selecting "restart", letting the race manu load up, selecting "start race", waiting for it to load, then the whole revving sequence...etc.

If you use a clutch you should be able to beat my current time, because I didn't use it for that entry.
For some reason I just can not get a decent enough launch. I did notice I would catch you a bit on each shift.

The Mustang was set up sort of like this:

Front tires - 40
Rear tires - 25ish

Sport trans (adjustable final gear only) set around 2.35. Set it lower for a little less torque to get off the line easier. I was constantly tweaking all of these settings so I can't tell you for sure which way is best to go from here. Note that this is also only going to use 3 gears. A fully adjustable trans would give you the benefit of a tall first gear (which is all this is really getting you) and then let you tune each gear to use all four (five, if it adds a gear?...I forget if Forza does or not). You might save time with only using three gears anyway.

Front springs = min height
Rears = max height.

Front springs = 600ish lb/in
Rears = 250-350 lb/in

That's about all I was tweaking. You want to launch bouncing off the rev limiter but start with about 75% throttle and as you launch slowly roll into the throttle more until you find the point it slips. You want just a little spin off the line so that when it hooks you have enough RPM to get going.

Nah, usually takes just a couple laps for me :sly:

Took pole with a 57.2 or something in my freshly tuned MX5 Gen-1

After that I realised it's almost a leader board car for that rival mode.

Yes. Once I "hit a wall" and stop climbing positions on each attempt I'll spent more time than I should on one event to improve. I was making a point to get into the top 100, but with many more people playing that's not as realistic and I'll probably shoot for some percentage...whatever I decide I can consistently handle without going insane.

QUALIFYING:

This weeks qualifying event: (Starts now and ends Friday at midnight est)

Rivals>Open Time Attack>Asian Production

Track: Suzuka Circuit

Restrictions

Car make: Asian

Class: C

Saturdays race: (read carefully)
2pm est

This week I would like to try something to test the level of competition. I want to see how close the racing will be with this type of scenario.

Saturdays race will be as follows. It will be a 15 lap race at Suzuka Circuit "West Circuit" All Participants will be required to use a 1992 Toyota Supra 2.0 GT Twin Turbo upgraded and tuned for B-Class. If you do not have the funds for this vehicle or simply don't want to buy one there will be one supplied to you which is currently in the club garage. It's blue and dubbed "The Loaner". This car is already modified at B/500.

We will wait approximately 10 minutes and run 2 random races during that time to loosen up and while we wait for everyone to enter the lobby. Top 12 qualifiers (as well as the provisionals) will be invited first then after the first race is run the rest of the club will receive an invite and whoever gets in before the lobby fills, is in.

This is not a championship race so this race will not be awarded any points. It's just to test a concept to see if it makes for fun and close racing.

I will announce the race results here on this thread.

Once the race is over there will be more random races most likely immediately afterwards.

If anyone has any questions please ask.

BTW I will most likely be opening another thread with a poll to find out what is the best time for Saturday racing. However this Saturdays race will remain at 2pm est. The poll will likely affect the following Saturday.
Sounds good to me just hope i qualify now.

I voted for you Crispy.. good luck mate

just a few more votes to go.. cmon guys - anyone here not voted for Crispy yet.... get in there and tick that box :)

00:57,107  My current time is 58,570, so I'm going to try and beat that now.. Wish me luck

58,309 now.. I can't seem to find that whole second...

Zr1Chris

Can you have the new weekly challenges merged into the bottom of the original post or create a separate thread for it?

I check the thread at least once a day but I imagine it's hard to find if you don't check everyday. Of course, it would be really nice if the club had it's own separate area....

I agree, also maybe devote another section to a re-cap of the previous winners and points when given.

Totally agree with you guys and I actually sent Scaff a PM yesterday morning asking him if that would be ok since I know the mods frown on duplicate threads (which they would both be FP Motorsports threads) for polls and things of that nature so this thread wouldn't be so cluttered and so we could be more organized but he never messaged me back so I think I'm going to just open one anyway. The reason I asked him first is so they would know the purpose of another thread first and not just lock it. Stay tuned for that.

Edit: That was a bit of a run-on sentence. :dopey:

I don't think it will be a problem when its all so professional looking. Still would be good to have a thread index at the bottom of the OP to easily find the other threads.

Satan is the top of my friends and club leaderboard in almost every rivals event I try. Hence the name, he is not human.

I think the longest I spent was an hour trying to best my friends time in the starter car challenge. I realized I had the wrong car and beat him on the second lap after I switched and got a different car.

He is, the Stig

Well, since I already know I can't do Saturday's race (I work), I am going to pass on qualifying for it. I am going to knock out a little Battlefield 3 this week, then qualify for next weeks race.
