You need to fill out your info in the doc in the OP. Then just send me a FR on xbox live. After that done I will send you a club invite the next time I get on.

Looking at how this weekend is playing out. Looks like I won't be able to participate in this Saturday's race. My dad wants to start building a shed this weekend, and I said I would help. Also, a friend of mine wants to go to a shooting range on Saturday and try out his new rifle.
 
Seems like MX-5 is going to dominate Suzuka. Almost 30 laps in my 240sx while tuning, looking for some hundreth of seconds to shave off. No luck. Took MX-5, and -0.45s shaved in a few laps. Anyone trying for top results in something else except that, or Civic?

Didnt get a chance to run much yesterday but I like to see if I can use something other than the top cars on the leaderboards. Thinking about the AW11 because my speed3 doesn't cut it at all. It was too close to the C threshold to begin with. I have been having the error message every time I try and save a tune which is why I have left my D350 AW11 as-is. Hopefully they will fix that soon.
 
God damn it, I have been thinking forever what kind of car is JDM, RWD and light. Didn't think of anything what isn't mx-5. :D Going to try AW11 for sure.
 
You can sort the cars n Buy Cars. Search for cars in all classes under and includingthe C Class, and pick al the Asian makes.

I took third in the club last night using an S13 with basically just wider slicks, wheels, suspension, splitter and wing. I think I broke into 57s or just 58.0. I plan to race Saturday, but my dad wants me to help change his brake pads so we'll see. Still gotta build a Supra.

Edit: The AW11 isn't exactly light. Over 2600lbs. MR-S is like 2045lbs. ;)
 
I was running the superlight since I couldn't seem to get a good feel for the Gen1 MX-5 but then last night I changed some parts around on the MX-5 and found a setup that works fairly well and ran my quickest lap. Still not sure how I'm going to knock off another full second off to try and grab the poll. I'm trying to stay away from the 99 Civic SI but I may try it Friday night at the last minute.

My biggest problem seems to be the first 2 right hand corners.

Now hopefully my faulty brake pedal won't go completely crazy on me. :ouch:

I seem to get my fastest runs if I brake just enough to make the first part of the turn, turn in, run out to the rumble strip, brake as soon as the car settles, and if done right, I'm going around 73mph and can turn in and add power through the second part of the turn. At least that's how the Silvia likes it.
 
Yeah my biggest issue is getting the car to settle. It's it and miss for me. Once I get a rhythm I can get it a few times in a row and that is usually when I end up finally beating the ghost and even then I'm always behind the ghost but Im able to pass him somewhere down the line if I can just stay close through that first section. It just takes me a while to get a good rhythm going on that section.

I think I noticed when chasing your and Crispy's ghosts that the last two turns of the esses (left and the long right before the uphill) you were losing a lot of time, and I'd even pass you there on my bad runs. I had to have a few car lengths on you coming onto the straight if I wanted to beat you though, both of ya had the edge on acceleration. I'm going to try a couple different cars tonight.


Rivals might be the best part of Forza. You don't have to deal with the frustration of bad drivers or even the honest mistake that costs you a whole race, and it does nothing but support improvement. Improvement in knowing how to choose the right car, what parts are going to benefit the most at the given track, how to tune for those last tenths and thousandths, and of course to drive. I have not participated in a single online race yet and haven't touched World Tour since my second day with the game. :lol:

All of a sudden while I was selecting parts the audio and video just went out but my xbox was still on. I figured.... ok, It just froze or something.... I'll turn it off and back on again. Turn it on and got this:




With that being said, I'm most likely going to need to hand over the duties of club leader to one of the co-leaders for a while until I can get a replacement or find a fix.

1,2,3 not me. I am getting my FPS fix right now with Battlefield 3.

Search for RROD fixes through Google. There are also DIY videos on YouTube. If you don't have the time or technical capability to do it there are usually local individuals who will either fix or buy RROD 360s on CraigsList.

It may not be as bad as you think.

That's not the RROD. It just means there's an issue with the power supply.

There is a hardware issue with the power supply or the console itself. See my post, and re-read that support page. If it is not a quick fix then it is bricked until it can be serviced.

The three flashing lights are known as the RROD, (because it is a hardware failure) so yes it is a RROD.

I have owned many 360's.

Also, Chris... I remember you saying something about a storm and power failure or something a few weeks ago? Here is the result lol. Invest in a power surge protector.

If you are in Rivals mode the ghosts should load automatically.

Yup. It should automatically load the next quickest time in the club or from your friends list.




Damn work!! I'm itching to get home and try some of these fixes. I did notice I had the orange light on my power brick.

Sorry to hear that. The same thing happened to me the other day. If you're willing to take the time to research the issue, you may be able to fix it yourself. Good luck.
 
Yeah I'm looking into it. Im going to try and fix it before spending money on another console.
 
Yeah the orange light on the power brick is there when its not sending power to the 'box. A few time my GF hasn't plugged hers in all the way and it would turn red and produce the rings. Best of luck though.

Just did the famous towel trick and got it working but it froze up twice in about 5 minutes. I'm going to let it chill out for an hour or so and give it another shot.
 
Finally found out what was wrong with the ghost thing. My Xbox doesn't seem to read my hard drive so I've been using a stupid USB drive:lol: But now I have a bigger problem, my Xbox won't read my hard drive. Any tips?
