I think it's near perfection even though it hasn't been tuned! Little less caster and shorter gears and it would be perfect for me.... :)

For the loaner I just did the auto upgrade with some slight changes.


On another note, my RROD is back. :(

Oh shame... Get it sorted! I got the RROD at least three times last week, since I didn't bother to repair it properly, just warmed the GPU heatsink to overheat it a bit... :D That bought me a few hours of playtime. Then I got fed up and did it "properly", now it works like a charm again!

First time I did that it bought me 2 weeks. I just did it again and I have it working again now. We'll see how long it last this time.

...You see why I say "properly", as it really isn't the absolutely right way. The right way would be a professional reflow (new solder balls and proper, accurate heating, but I don't have the equipment...) But works for me! Rather that than a new Xbox, don't wanna spend a penny on a new one.

BTW. I just noticed you grabbed 3rd overall for the autocross event we are using for qualifying. Getting close to number 1. I hope you get it. Good luck. 👍

I don't think so, not enough heat! But if you want to try that, heat guns are like $20, you don't need anything special. Just be sure to isolate everything properly as he does on the video, and obey the times he says. :)

Yeah that was kinda funny, just thought to see how the Delta felt after a break and did that time in my first 3 tries, took like 5 minutes... :D I guess it just shows that when you just relax and drive safe, you get better times. Then I started to push and made a complete mess of it and had to go to other events... :dopey:

edit: Off to bed again! Really waiting for the race tomorrow! Just wish I could speak English properly so I'd dare use the mic... :D

Chris, you did it in a Lambo after all! Was it that Diablo in the beginning or did you change car, since that's not small either!

But hey, I still maintain: that grey Mustang I'm sharing, try it! You wouldn't believe it's from the sixties by the way it drives, it is PLANTED. Really good for Indy autocross. You will not get the quickest time with it because it hasn't got the power but it is super easy to drive, for me at least. :)

Now off to work, then on to slap some decals on the sexy wingless, slow-as-hell-M3 ;D

Yeah. I gave your Delta a try and just couldn't get the under-steer figured out. Just wasn't agreeing with my driving style. I could never get a good rhythm so I went back to the Diablo that I was using originally since I knew it was still fast and I had some time left to gain.

I noticed you putting in a time late last night. Good job taking 4th in such a short amount of time. I'm also looking forward to racing today. Hopefully we get a better turn-out then last week.
 
Thanks guys for great racing, had a great time! And congratulations for crispychicken49 winning the race, amazing driving!! And at least one sub 1:40 lap, superb! I think best I did was 1:40.5, and yes, I blame the car! Was sliding all over the place.. :D Should've had that stupid wing on.

Hope to race more with you guys!

PS. If someone has the energy, it would be nice to see some pics of the race! At least the 0.003 difference between me and Chris in the races after the Real Race...! :D

So much fun today!

That one BMW race was intense. I was running 1:39's the way through!

My first lap was bad. I crashed into someone and sent my car into last place. Had to catch up all the way, surprised I did it too! Sounds like you guys had fun on the next race, I didn't realize I had made it so far up there until the last lap!

Can't wait till next week, always had fun!
 
Yeah Crispy. Wait until you see how close that finish for 2nd was. I thought for sure I had him.

BTW. Great job coming from the back to win this week!
 
That Bugatti race at Indy was pretty insane. Everyone seemed to be climbing the fence!

I bought a tuning setup for my BMW, so I'm not sure how it compared to the loaner car. I don't know what I'm doing with tuning, and being on an old 27" tv I can't even read the descriptive text that explains what each option does!

Anyway, other than getting thrown deep in the grass by someone, it was good.

By the way, thanks for waiting for me before the big race (if that's what you were waiting for). I could join anything online without any trouble until I got the invite from you zr1chris. Then it gave me the NAT error message when I tried to join your lobby. I'm trying to fix my router settings now.
 
I couldn't make the race, but I did do some racing later in the day, my favorite was a 2011 F1 style race at Positano.

I'm in the Lancia, UrbanChaoticDAZ is the Merc and Keptang is in the S15.

Keptang should also be kicked out of the club for tire abuse, I don't think he took a turn without smoking them.:lol:

Ahh, I was wondering what happened to you. I was like... What the 🤬 , He just gave up the lead. Next couple weeks i'm going to switch up the times and one of them I will make it a bit earlier. ;)
 
How far ahead did I get on the A-Class Road America race? I couldn't see me in that video.

Still surprised by the outcome of the BMW race. How I did that, I'll never find out. I stalled out on the C5.R race, didn't do something right with the gas/clutch marriage. Then I stalled again in 2nd! :lol:

Can't wait until I get my wheel, that will help my wrist a little better. Can't really stay too many races at the moment because my arm gets worn out carrying this heavy cast. Next week will be too awesome! Hopefully getting the CSR Elite, plus I got something special planned for Monday!

Thanks Chris, great pictures! Still can't get my head round how fast crispy was... :drool: And what a shame ThatMan dropped out/had to go! I think the race would have been even more intense with him leading the pack. You can see him pass me in those pictures, as I am running the first corner wide.

And OK, I was quite close to him when he dropped, but it wasn't fun going past like that! :D

It was like 1000 meters. My Sierra was topping out at 220kph, just banged the rev limiter on every single straight bit :D Should've remembered it was tuned for autocross...

And ThatMan; I got bit of work cut out since Eric is giving me hard time with the AutoX events, which are my new favorite! Proper hate-love thing. But don't ya worry, I'll be after your scores in no time... :dopey:
