Actually, I hate this new economy! I loved the economy in FM3 because you truly had to do something before you could buy a car. Now I have something like 15 millions and don't really need any of it! :p

Agreed. I thought FM3 was a little too difficult to earn money but FM4 is ridiculously easy. I'm probably earning money with a dead console. :lol:
 
Yeah the money is ridiculous. I had 35 million after completing season 10 and playing online, which I spent on the four cars I needed for the achievement about having the 5 most expensive cars.. I had 5 million left and already back up to 15 million... insane!

This Saturday's race 12pm noon Central
Car: 1974 Stratos HF Stradale Tuned for S-Class

Track: Camino Viejo de Montserrat Extreme Circuit-10 Laps

Sorry for announcing this later than usual guys. Decided to make this race a little better for others, as well as provide a different car than usual. A rally legend on a track aimed for rallying.

My god, S-Class Stratos :D That must equal to some huuuuuuuuuge crashes! So, looking forward to it! :cheers:

edit: BTW, that Corvette is so SCARY to drive! Push the throttle a millimeter too much and the lap is ruined! Nerve cracking!

I hate that Corvette with a passion! :mad: I have to work this weekend, so I probably won't waste my time trying to qualify...I doubt I'd qualify if I tried anyway. :lol:

Admit it Chris, as much as you love Corvettes, you hate that one. :D I know I'm not the best driver in the world, but that car is just too twitchy for me to get a decent lap time. :yuck:

A twitchy car makes for a fun car to drive for me. :D


On another note. I just ordered a console ($40) off eBay with a bad disk drive. Seller says only problem is it won't read disks. No red lights. My disk drive is still good so my fingers are crossed that swapping the disk drive for the one I have will work. Wish me luck guys.
 
See I have that problem with the DBR9, I love the Corvette. And the Stratos race will certainly be interesting to say the least.

Hope it works Chris, I know I speak for everyone when I say we want you back to the track!

Thanks Crispy. I really miss racing with you guys. I just got a message saying my package has been dropped off at USPS and should be here in 2-3 days. :D Hopefully if all goes well I will be racing with you guys on Saturday.

Do you have the proper tools to flash the drive?(i think) I'm fairly certain that the disk drives are assigned to each console so you have to flash the mobo or the drive.

Thanks you so much for that video. I had taken my drive apart but had no idea how to get those ribbons out. I had no idea they just pulled out. Hopefully the console i'm getting has the same brand of drive. If not I'm sure buying a disk drive that is the same brand will still be cheaper than buying a new console. I have no idea how to flash and it doesn't sound like something I want to attempt. Switching the circuit board isn't a problem. It was pretty simple to remove. I just removed mine in the process of typing this.
 
Yeah no problem, Chris, I think that guy also has a video on how to do that.(the ribbon thing)

The console arrives today!! Now to wait and see if it has the same brand drive as mine. I'm hoping to get it and take it apart real quick when I go to lunch in another hour and a half.
 
I got robbed!!! :mad:

Just messaged him and he still claims to have never opened it and that nothing should be missing. Yeah right. :rolleyes: He is only refunding half of my money. It's better than having to put in a claim or having to pay to ship the thing back I guess.

Yeah not sure exactly how it works.

Anyhow after some more discussion I'm getting all of my money back minus the shipping cost of $10.

Next step is just to wait until I have the money for a fully functioning console from GameStop.

They are offering a free one-year warranty on all used systems right now. (Not sure how long it lasts or if it is nation-wide)

Sounds like a good deal. The next xbox will be out shortly after another year imo anyway.
