The same cars should be near the top next week as well

If Forcone can get his top speed up to 186mph, I'm in trouble next week. :nervous: I can probably get over 170mph with the right build/tune, but the handling would be pretty bad. :(

What a hateful track, La Sarthe... :irked:

I think I'll go with a grip tune, and just draft on the straights. I love drifting, but not when racing... :dopey:

I just ran a few laps on La Sarthe....managed 4:52.3xx...about 3 seconds faster than Loaded's first run. :p I was hitting 169mph on the longest straight with the first build/tune I tried. I made a bunch of mistakes though, so 4:40's shouldn't be too hard to get. I'd say 70% speed and 30% handling is the way to go on this track...you do have to brake and turn after those long straights.***EDIT*** Made some changes and ran 2 more laps to get 4:50.6xx and still made a bunch of mistakes.

I had a power outage -.- This summer theres been a crap load.. I think I had around 4-5 within a month..even next to my work we had a transformer explode and burnt down the whole pole.. To many AC's blasting at one time I guess..

Sucks to because I actually got up early this time

Wish you could have made it...we were short on racers again today. Just ran a dirty 4:47.xxx on La sarthe. 🤬 I have no idea where I dirtied the lap. Ran a 4:50.014 right after that. :banghead: I give up for now.

I'm really not to sad about missing the oval, but I will for sure make this next one. I love Sarthe :D Oh and Wiggs, you beat my slow Supra :P. Havnt tried it with my civic yet.

I hate La Sarthe....and that slow Supra has a good top end. I've got a build/tune for my M3 that's hitting 175mph on the long straight. It's a pig in the corners though. I think I can run at least 4:45 with the right setup and a perfect lap. This track is too long to make a mistake during qualifying....it isn't like Hockenheim, where you can rewind to the previous lap if you screw up the first turn. 🤬

I'm going to settle with more grip then speed I think. Im going to build two cars from the ground up, one grip and one speed and see how each fares. The civic wont be the best for this track on those long straights but hopefully I can gain enough speed on the chicanes to keep up.

Dont know what my little Ford can do on that track...I think its going to be hard to get a clean lap.....Like Indy, I dont think its a good time to be driving a Escort

Kat, you might be in trouble again. I can get Hamster's Mazda, Forcone's Mustang, and Loaded's Civic to run pretty much what my M3 is getting, but that Escort doesn't have the power upgrades to keep up on the straights. It's pretty much all handling...so you'll probably have to do your damage in the corners.

Haven't drove that track in along time..is that the one with the chacayne's??....

I will probably just race it for the points...Cant afford to miss another race if I want to stay up close to you:bowdown:

Yeah it's the one with chicanes. The straights are pretty long though. Don't worry, we've got Positano and Catalunya School coming later in the season.....those tracks are all handling. Your car will be great on those tracks.

I think I have just about the same top speed, 272kph :dopey: Tried it with the previous "monster" tune but it was all over the place - top speed was over 300kph though! That 70% 30% sounds about right :)

Jeez Forcone, your standing lap must have been in the high 40's to get a time like that lol. I got a 4:48 in two laps. The speed tune seems to be working better, so I think I'm going to stick with it. Just threw a basic tune on and it was great. With some fine tuning I think the max I can drop is like 2 seconds haha. Still nothing close to you, Forcone.

OP has been updated.

I really hope I don't miss out on completing the 5 minimum. I just found out at my new job that, tomorrow is going to be the first day off in over 2 months for most of the people there. :(

I don't know when I got past 3rd it was before qualifying was done, but I got second after 11pm.

Leaderboard shows you in 2nd. I just took care of that for you. 👍

Oh nevermind, i was thinking in pst lol.

So what is it??? Did you finish BEFORE the deadline or not??...Im interested because it means 2nd or 3rd place for me...:nervous:

I just realized this wasn't Hamster saying this so Im confused now.....Ill just sit over here and mind my Jack:cheers:

Geez Forcone. Really? 🤬 I won't be back on the Box until Monday....I can beat Loaded's current time, but I'll have to re-build my car to get close to Forcone's time. :irked:

Just arrived in Orlando. We rented a SUV and drove from Sanford to Orlando. Great to be here.

Welcome to Florida......where if you dont like the weather, wait 15 minutes and it will change:cheers:

Welcome to our wonderful state. My sister-in-law and her boyfriend are in Orlando for the weekend....they invited us to hang out, but I gotta work. :(

Really... I think I can get in to the 30's with a proper lap. I just keep missing my braking points. (Then I just do the braking and turning by tapping the handbrake :dopey:)

This time I'm running Shelby GT500 engine with widened stock tires. :) Seems to work well enough.

I got my best times with the E92 swap, but it doesn't leave much pi for other upgrades. The car doesn't handle so great with stock tires so I'm really cautious thru the corners. The track is too long to get a dirty lap while qualifying....who wants to run another 5 plus minutes because you ran a little wide on one corner? I guess I need to take better lines and brake later to have any chance at getting close to your time.

Yeah it's a bit of a "gamble" this track. So hard to balance just right between going fast enough and going TOO fast. My way of doing it is tuning the car to be as neutral, docile, as possible to minimize driver error. But all and all, at least I get the best results driving using about 90% of my capabilities. Anything faster than that and the risk of missing a braking point or skidding over the apex is too big.. :irked:

Managed a 4:46.3xx but I hate the way the car drives. :irked: The only reason I can get that time is because the car reaches nearly 180mph on the long straight with the E92 swap....it's still a fat disusting pig in the corners on stock tires with stock weight. 🤬 I can probably get close to or faster than Hamster's current time with it, if I only had the patience. I hate this track....it's too long!!! 🤬
