Freezing issues after 1.11?

Hey guys

I keep getting annoying freezing issues happening to me after the 1.11 patch that never happened before.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yes I had this problem the first hour after installing the patch. I had to quit GT5 since I got stuck at the black screen with GT logo like 2-3 times (the main GT menu / seasonal events page / nascar events pagde wouldn't load even after 5 minutes of wait).

Later it worked again. Weird.

p.s. I never had any loading problem in GT5 before this patch....well, except when the game came out...

Glad I'm not the only one having this issue. I came here actually looking to see if I was the only one. I just finished all of the seasonals and was taking a look at my garage to see the cars I won and it locked up 3 times while trying to load the cars. I gave up trying to play for now.

No freezing issues here but my custom soundtracks are still buggy/not working. Was hoping this would sort it out. I hear nothing.

Do you have 'User BGM' volume more than 0? I wanted my custom soundtrack, and I heard nothing, it turned out volume was on 0 But, watch out. I read it somewhere here, and game freezes randomly because of the custom soundtrack. It freezes your whole PS3, you can only turn it off. So if you'll experience freezing after using custom soundtrack, better leave it.

No troubles for me, at all. Just like after every other patch people complain. Maybe it's just coincidence and your PS3's are giving up?

No. Game rocks after 1.11! Only issue is a long save time.

I'm getting the same problems. Just spent over 20 mins trying to play the damn game.

1.11 has been fine for me, haven't tested if the lobby leaving freeze bug has been fixed yet as I suffered that about 1/4 times after trying to leave a lobby in the last patch.

Mine is completely stuck. Every menu change/switching on takes about 6-10 minutes.

Ha no problems at all before the update.

Probably not related, but I was greeted with YLOD the next day after finishing a race.
Now my phat is being worked on. The worst part is GT5 is stuck in it, and I just started getting into some online stuff too!

Oh really? Thats weird. I never turned it down, but it did just kinda stop working after one of the patches. I'll have a look tonight.

my problem is that the screen goes blank (black) after the header and logo as the game starts.. then its just nothing.

I've noticed after update 1.11 I've had problems with changing cars. It will wont load my car. Or sometime loading a race it won't load the track, if I don't hear the music or car sound effect at the end of loading i know that it's not going to load. I have to shut down the system down start it back up what a pain in the ass. I cleared the cache about a week ago and it ran fine all week now it's getting it's hang ups again. I would say it was my ps3 if it did it with other game but it's just gt5. So this morning I did the 10gb install but It took 5-6 minutes to install which makes me think I might have already installed those files cant remember. I've checked my disk it doesnt seem damaged or dirty. maybe when I get home from work today I'll delete game data and reinstall just the game files. I love gt5 but not that much. I spend more time wait to play then playing. It tests ones patience after a while.
