Previous seasons i've always said same rim designs for teams. Differing colours cool though.

And we've sorta blown the whole Renault budget.. All we have left is 603 Credits! :lol:

Hopefully the Renault isn't made slower - but a tad but faster! There's no way we can keep up with some cars out there!

Saying that, I've spent over 4,000,000 credits on the TOCA-10 Campaign so far! It seems to be working!

I'm looking at perhaps lightening a couple cars but decreasing HP a little.

I don't see that working to be fair - as some cars that are plain awful in the corners (like the Peugeot and the Renault to some extent will not only loose put in the corners) and then with less BHP; will be slower on the straights.

Well by lightening the FF's they turn better and are faster... I tested Ford at Bathurst, weight reduction makes a 1 second difference....
 
But then again, if you add weight and then put it at the back and get as near as possibly to a 50:50 distribution (Renault is currently 64:36 or something).. Then that also makes it faster!

What I'm saying is both ways are possible options.. You just need to not do what I did with the Primera in STCC which was add 100kg - which slowed it from being the fastest by over a second to being the slowest car there..

I avoid ballast wherever possible.
 
But what it does allow you to do is be able to steward cars more easily.. A car at 1991kg is much harder to steward (if you put the minimum weight as 1990kg - then they'll lighten it by 1kg) - but 1200kg is much easier to steward!

Point unfortunately irrelevant in GT6 sadly as room re sets every time to change a regulation. 👎

It resets the time to a default time for some reason.. You must change it to the time you set it to before leaving the options menu.. That's what we did in STCC the other day and it worked fine! 👍

Which sadly means that inbetween a practise or Q session that room will have to be re set twice...
 
Reset the room, do the regulation checks and then set the timer (putting time back to the set time before leaving Options).. And then give the green flag for people to leave pits..
 
And you honestly think people dont use it to their advantage??? Really Furi asking that people dont shift weight around is more bonkers than the parts check stuff.:banghead::boggled:

I understand your position, but what's the alternative to trusting people a little bit? If you rely only on specs that can be checked, you have to allow practically all parts to begin with, because only some engine parts can be checked due to their influence on the red line. I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in a series with specs that massively use the power restrictor (which you have to resort to then), which results in awful torque curves, totally distorting a car's original feel.

I think that, surprisingly, people will mostly adhere to the specs. Look at GTP's own WRS, for instance. They found a way to check replays for installed parts and went through all submitted replays in the past and what did they find? I can't remember the exact result, but something like 99% were found to be having correct specs and most of the 1% were one-time honest mistakes. Hardly anyone cheated constantly.

Not that I generally believe that people are good, but if someone actually wants to lie to himself thinking he achieved something with an illegal car ... let them do it. I think that, over time, those people generally get found out, and when they do, nobody will have something to do with them anymore. If they want to risk that, that's more or less up to them. (or PD to give us better tools for restrictions).

Some official news: ToCA have decided on new requirements and rules for cars for future seasons, as well as clarifications on older one's.. So without further ado, here is the lowdown to be applied from ToCA11 onwards.

The following applies to the dealership base model.

~Only cars that are FR, FF, 4WD drivetrain may be considered.
~Maximum engine displacement may be no more than 3999cc.
~Maximum cylinders of the engine may not exceed 8.
~Stock BHP of the car may not exceed 400hp.
~Minimum car length is 4195mm
~All 4WD entries must run with a torque distributing differential set at 10/90 bias to back wheels.
~The production model of the car may be no older than 2002.
~Cars must weigh a minimum base weight of 1165kg stock.
~Cars when modified for race trim may not weigh less than 1100kg
~Ballast of 50kg max is allowed in ToCA Spec.
~Ballast may not be adjusted in the car.
Toyota 86 for ToCA11 confirmed. :p

All well and good but when people have told me in the past they feel their cars not quick enough "so im going to add this to compensate" it kinda makes you wonder what others are up to its human nature after all too push the boundaries sometimes. I don't blame Furi and fully understand his system and how difficult it is to manage but also understand it doesn't deteriorate from the experience using what's available at least that's the feedback iv'e always been given. When the day came that a driver like @DrifterJoe is suspected of malpractice (someone i trust 200%) i would be sat down thinking how/if i could take this suspicion away. I guess it's whether people want a fail safe level playing field with zero doubts about certain drivers pace or your torque issue and fancy sounding exhausts, difficult conundrum i know.:indiff: I fully agree some blame lies at PD's door step the tools should be in place to manage these issues better.👍

You are both 100% correct. I've bolded for me the most relevant parts.

Firstly ToCA cars are better to drive than wall of torque cars, I remember discussing with @LancerEvo7 about this when he entered the series. I'm NEVER going to do that to these cars. They'll lose all character and fun to them.

Here's a great thing with the less tuning parts JB, engine parts etc are easier to find and catch. I analysed ALL red lines from Spa and all 100% legal. Worth noting that since break in is gone and oil doesn't wear as much, it's actually an easier job now. Also suspension changes are plainly obvious with visual evidence.

As for the Joe thing, I was more thinking how weak the argument was in first place (sorry to those who did complain and read this, but unintentionally it did reek of "WAHHHH I'M GETTING BEATEN" - I checked them all anyway.)

A propos ... did anyone else notice that in the online settings menu, there's one more dot in the top "navigation" (10) than there are sections of settings below, even when you enable qualifying...?

To shoot down any hopes ... I doubt it has anything to do with car restrictions.
