I've done a complete wipe of the hard drive, and it wasn't lack of space that was the problem. The PS3 turned off when I tried to quit the installation process when I first downloaded 1.07.

I'd do almost anything to get 1.08 working for me.

On another topic, going to play some GT5 saying it's pretty much a day before servers are closed. Will be running a 'Dirty Shuffle Fun' thing at Nurburgring (which will suit TOCA perfectly)! :P

No! :lol: Guess I didn't give the right info... I don't know a lot of this stuff. :lol:

As example, the internet speed at my work:

At my home, download speed should be around 20Mb/s and Upload around 1 or 2 Mb/s.

I would join (miss shuffle in GT6 :(), but I have somewhere to go tonight.
 
Having a lot of trouble downloading this... keeps coming up with "The operation failed" or some similar message time and time again. Not even managing to get past ~10% of the download.
 
Wonder what @gokartman78's update was like to download :lol:

Nope, I'm the only person I know (outside of forums) who plays GT6. I quite honestly believe my copy of GT6 is no longer usable on my PS3 past v1.06.
 
even though I have a 120Mbps connection... for some unknown reason my PS3 downloads are woefully slow (1.07 took me around 3 hours to complete and as I'm typing this, 1.08 is at 86% with 46 minutes left, having begun the download almost 4 hours ago)


EDIT: Just to compare, wednesday I re-downloaded MW2 on Steam with an average 9MB/s

That's weird, my connection is 20Mbps and I was able to fully download 1.08 (update + patch) in a hour and 15 minutes. By the way, my PS3 is using wireless conection.
 
Just to show how ridiculous my PS3 downloads speeds are, when put against my connection...
