If your car is prone to running wide, and you are on the inside, don't act as though the other cars can just give way to you.

Leave space.

There was no need to in my case as they were both behind and nobody was on my left, I just then got a massive shove and off I went! Swear this Renault spends more time off the track than on! :P

Wait till the corners? We were pretty terrible hrough final sector for example, would have been a golden opportunity.
Tried that. Either got cut off or got taken right back down the front straight.

At least we don't deliberately push people wide - now that's bad sportsmanship.

Don't forget you're the guy who's been banned from ToCA before.

You need to adapt to how a certain kind of car must be driven. The Renault for example must have a wide entry and a tight exit to get the most out of it. Therefore you need to accommodate this as if we ran the line lets say the Nissans do, we'd be in 16th position!

And about the speed, if you're that bothered - you should have tried to come to the Renault whilst we were taking on drivers...

Banned from TOCA for fighting my corner in an incident that occurred which wasn't my fault. It's obvious that we're going to give you guys a hard time in the passing situation as we're trying to fight for points too, but some of the Ford guys just take it too far!

I enjoy racing with Yeratel and SnowCrash as most of the time, we're able to have a good battle (not with Nissans, I don't like racing next to RWDs) - but you guys... Just... Oh...

Got a few decent results tonight including a 6th place in Race 2 which I really had to fend everyone else off for the first half of the race and after around 8/9 laps those behind dropped off and I kept pace with @DrifterJoe, mistakes in the other 2 races probably means it's pre-quali next week again as I can't string a few top 10 finishes together

Scumbag Scan

I think calling someone a "scumbag" is a little out of order, don't you think?
And I'm not complaining, I'm just not prepared to have people shove me off the circuit every 2 minutes...

After reading all of this rage/banter/whatever, am I the only one who expects to receive a bump or a door-to-door bump if I did the same thing before?

Well, if I had joined the session earlier and/or practiced during the week, I think I could've got a quali spot. I've lost two tenths or even more in my final lap (88.4), so one more lap or two and I think I could've got down to 88.1/88.2. Anyway, doesn't matter. Since my "return" to ToCA last season I haven't been able to qualify (3 tries, 3 fails). In the GT5 ToCA the only time I didn't qualify was at Cape Ring because I DC'ed, so I'm wondering what's happening...

I do but I think some people are really pushing it this season.

Certainly! It's just some people (this isn't directed at you Scania) are willing to give but not willing to take.

Wow you guys make so much out of nothing. Send a pm and it will get looked at by the stewards. If they don't reply, or the other guy doesn't get a penalty then it wasn't worth a penalty and was probably just a racing incident.

I'll add. Cars are one reason. Without tuning they;re (especially post update) quite ungainly and horrid. Next seasons wings and tuning formulae cannot come soon enough.

Now, considering that this is just water under the bridge between myself and Andrew now, here's something I think we'd both agree is things that are being discussed in here. Also, I think it shows the results of what happens when stewarding isn't properly maintained during a season, AND drivers either decide to take matters into their own hands. It also displays what happens when someone's anger over something gets the better of them in a split second. Believe me, this wasn't the worst one either.... I'll admit on my part, this video show how idle and careless I was.

You weren't even there.

You know what, those last few posts just reminded of one song:

"Is this real life, or fantasy?"

Interesting reading.

Some of you lot should be careful what you wish for.

All I want to see in future is some orderly racing, not 15 lap shove-fests. Last season, I got myself into trouble at times, because i'd seen those considered to be the best putting on some rough moves at times. Nobody batted an eyelid at them. I ended up following their moves because I found there was no other way to get good results.

This season, I came back with a new attitude, to not get into trouble. This season made me realise that having a controlled and clean driving style literally gets you swamped.

It all boils down to this:
The driving styles evident in ToCA, and the inconsistent stewarding, make it really difficult (for rookies and experienced drivers, but more so newcomers) to judge what's acceptable, what you'll get away with, and what'll get you a penalty.

That's why I want a huge clampdown. Drivers need to know the limits.

@hsv: I couldn't agree more with you on this...

Turning heavy damage on would certainly take away the boneheaded moves.

I don't even do boneheaded moves anyway. I try to be as clean as possible and don't tap people wide on purpose. I remember in one of the races(2 or 3) when I tapped Moleman wide I gave the place back.

That was really good thanks, I noticed it, was in R2 I think.

And same, I think it speaks volumes that neither of us take part in the car bashing, and yet seem to always end up at the front of reverse grid races quite quickly.

You both have cars that can hold your own in traffic. The Mazda and Toyota just get swamped.

The Mazda is pretty handy on the straights but is nowhere in the corners.

Yeah, for the sake of sportsmanship, I think that Mazda needs an LSD. I drove it pre-season and it was awful.
