A low 33 by Snow. (.1, .2?)
Do we really have to start with this after the first race, a race, the type of which is at one of the extremes of the season? Let's stick to the facts, shall we?
1) My GTO was at 7 with its tyres when I pitted and they sort of went off a cliff at about 30 laps. If others had 7, then it was even for them. The fact that I was so far ahead was primarily, because I didn't have the slightest problem the whole race. I went wide and through the grass exactly once. I don't think I ever had that little happen to me in any of the last 3 seasons I took part in WSC.
2) I was the only GTO at the top. To concoct a situation where the GTO's are dominating the field is unfounded, especially since the GTO is best suited to the twisty tracks. I said this all along, and I also said that OVERALL the cars are balanced. Since Furi put all the twisty tracks at the beginning of the calendar, you will have to wait for the ones better suited for your car. Which brings me to …
3) You're in the fastest car for Le Mans.
Fox, your rant against the GTO is all fine and well, you're entitled to your opinion after all, but the only thing that counts is lap times. Yes, it's the best in corners, but it's the slowest on straights and the differences between the cars are in the range of 0.5s per lap. And if it was so dominating, then it should have been with all 3 cars, especially on this track. And yet, the grid order was a mixed affair and Waffle was within 3 tenths in the SL, so I don't understand what you're on about. I understand you're lobbying to get your car boosted, but fact of the matter is, it already was, even with the risk that it might be overpowered at Le Mans.
@FlyingFox and @snowgt i'm negating this entire line of discussion right now.
BoP has been tested at several tracks (by Snow himself). I'm also doing race results now and looking through times. You cannot judge it on 1 race alone. Fox had a rough night getting lag spiked by a 250 putting him back. Snow had a faultless run. Yera couldn;t get car to work and Daiba kept it going. It's impossible to take conclusions. Fox's issue is more the eligibility of the car. I'll point out that GT-O is intended to be an "open" class and you were damn lucky not to get htis in the field this season (it nearly did).

Doing results now.
Well that was like pulling teeth.
Firstly, Ryan. Bothers to show up, Qualifies, then as we are about to go on the parade lap he leaves the lobby lag bumping me, destroying the car and says he has to go somewhere leaving a perfectly good seat for someone else.
NOT IMPRESSED.
Now the Ferrari GTO.
I'm calling for this car to be banned for next season:
1) Its far to light. Lighter car = less fuel use and less tyre wear.
2) Fat tyres. The Tyres on this car are the same width as Oxfordshire. Wide tyres = more grip. Overkill by Ferrari.
3) It’s not a homologated car as the rest of the cars in the GTO class; it’s a pure racing car. It’s like me putting the C2 race car into this series. At 340 BHP (which is the same at the C2 I’m racing now) its 509PP. It would trash the opposition.
In the meantime I request something be done to even the odds.
GTO (Gran Turismo Omologata) a homologated car for racing
In racing series that are "production-based," meaning that the vehicles entered in the series are based on production vehicles for sale to the public, homologation requires not only compliance with a racing series' technical guidelines (for example, engine displacement, chassis construction, suspension design and such) but it often includes minimum levels of sales to ensure that vehicles are not designed and produced solely for racing in that series.
I was just typing up to say I wasn't there!
Also Ryan WTF.
Hilarious.

Look, I unfortunately did not calculate how long it would take for the race to start. I originally thought that I would be able to finish the race before I would have to depart. Of course, the time interval between qualifying and the actual race would not make that possible. I should have just gone on with the race and then left when I really had to. That is my fault, and I am sorry about that. Now can we please just forget about all of the problems I have caused? Or will you continue to hold a grudge against me?
What lap time was GTO pole out of interest?
This is it exactly.
Damn that's fast.Managed to squeeze out a 32.8., which was a personal best for me with a full tank. So, quite in line with your prediction of what you could possibly do. I first did a 33.2, which Waffle beat, so I had to make a second run to get pole.
Damn that's fast.
250 GT had tyre wear. I was sliding her around all over the place!250 GTO (lack of) tyre wear...![]()
With two to go I saw a silver car in the distance getting increasingly closer. This was Dino and it was for position. However the race was one lap too short and just missed out on trying to pass him for 4th. I didn't know if it was for position at the time so tried to over take to see if it was. However he hasn't noticed the flag and carried on racing. It took him till the pilgrims drop to realise that it was overAnd it was for position. Was a race of what could have been, but mighty good fun

Is it Matterhorn after Nurb? Or Bathurst?
Ok, I think I understand where you're coming from. Truth of the matter is though, that the GTO is the 250GT's direct successor that was run in the same races and a distinction between road and race cars for GT's is just arbitrary. That's why there is a BoP.
As to the advantages in tyre wear and fuel consumption, we had the same thing with the Alpine when I was (actually we both were) in the Corvette. And I have to check the replays, but I bet the difference was bigger then than it is now.
Well I say just have the 250GT and that is with in keeping with the rest of the GTO Class.
As I have suggested to @Furinkazen before, for one of the WSC seasons could just have the GTP and GTB catagory using Shelby Daytona, Ferrari 250 GTO, C2 race car and Alfa TZ2
Adjustable D/F throws the Shelby out. Alfa is too underpowered. BUT - they are part of plans. Watch this space...
Err just add spoilers and just boost the Alfa
If only everything was that simple. But... we'll you'll see come near season end![]()
