Fuji 750 impressions

I've won this race a few times.

There's always one Japanese or (more increasingly) a French driver who's sole aim it is to make my race harder than it should be. ie. shunting me into the wall at the chicane and then being penalised myself...

I drive a GT-R and I've set it up very nicely in terms of the Quick Tune.

I'm really hesitant to race online now.
I ain't that good on gt5, i mean i have finished all the C class races and i drive with pro physics and TC off.

Are the begginers races anything like the pro, or are they worse?

I generally get good races on Fuji 750 it's odd, managed to pull my first under 5 minute race time in my Viper this morning and my best free run lap is 1:37.458 (Viper). Proves you don't need a GTR or GTLM to do well (my GTLM best is under 1:37, i refuse to use a GTR). But the racing itself was good, managed some great overtaking moves and even got some thrown back on me.

Very impressive! 👍 I need more practice...

Wow, nice. Which model was it? I use the SRT 10 non tuned and the best I've managed is a 5:04. I tried the tuned version and found it a lot stabler so easier to recover when punted but not as quick on the back street or as fun as the non tuned version.

If I knew how to tune cars properly I could probably knock time off, my tactic of lowering the car as much as possible, setting all the suspension to 7 and changing the toe until the back end is twitchy is probably quite limiting.

Thanks, i'm a bit of a Fuji specialist from GT4 so it's not exactly a new track for me like it seems to many others. Finding your own pace and a versatile car that is fast and controllable is vital.

Generally it's utter pap - there's a French guy and a Spanish guy who are both complete pains - but I had a great race today with a Japanese chap called yh15.

Some great moves from him (and me, if I do say so myself ;) ), corners won were conceded by both of us and we completed smacked the rest of the field, even though we were slowing each other down! We were 8 seconds from the third placed guy at the end.

Almost makes up for the tens of wasted races on Fuji.

I had an experience last night that I have yet to read about on these forums. There was one racer who would come up to turn 10, the chicane:

And would simply cut across the corner (just after the barrier on the right hand side finishes). Given he could do this at a much faster speed than those who slowed to take the corner properly he was probably gaining about 2 seconds.

What was really annoying is that he was actually quite a good driver and I was struggling to catch him on the other parts of the circuit, I imagine it would've been a close race if he would've let me. However, he seemed to prefer to finish 10 seconds ahead of the pack in an ill gotten 1st position - if he wanted to race by himself 10 seconds from anyone else, why not just stay in free run? :dunce:

Had the same issue with people running very wide on the final turn but keeping their foot firmly planted. Also, after I was shunted off at the 1st corner lap 1, I decimated a 4 second gap from me to the then 11th place guy in about 3/4 of the first lap. He then proceeded to swerve all over (I really mean all over) the track for the next 2 laps, doing his absolute utmost to keep me behind. I wasn't expecting him to play dead and just yield, but illegally driving for 2 laps for 11th place?!

I've seen that a lot too - it really hacks me off. They do it on every lap as well.

I think that's the Gamers rather than the Drivers - they will just get around the track in the fastest way possible without getting penalised, rather than racing within the spirit of motor racing... as in the track is two wheels inside the white lines, not wherever there is tarmac.

What the hell is that?? some sort of cheat?!?! cuz it seemed as if they didnt get penalized for anything... and just cruised through ... but I cant imagine its shorter or anything... very weird... "

hello everybody, first, please excuse my english:)

then just want to say that the pits way ,was for fun with friends...a kind off challenge with gtlmsqd and gt5net 's members, it gived more spices...
at each pits we get 4 sec penalitie:)

ps; what a strange reaction...cheat:scared: ...if you ever seen us drive..it's not logical:sly:
see u on tracks

Oh no... Thats why I found it funny... I know you are skilled drivers, but when I was on the straight I saw all you guys going into the pit lane and still be catching up to me, without a problem... thought you knew something I didn't, then I drove in myself and got a penalty, then I REALLY didnt understand... but thanks for the clarification! I understand now :) 👍
