For the same reason I prefer to cycle with the stabilisers off. GTR is too easy. I used to use it when I just started with GT5P because everyone else was driving one but, to be perfectly honest, I'd be a bit embarrassed to be seen in one these days.
Really?

I quite like my pink stabilisers.

👍

LOL!!!

Anyone seen that ''cheat'' into the bottom hairpin?

The dude who won the last race was cutting the entire corner off and not getting a penalty. I still caught him up though ;)

Was he in a white GT-R? Had someone taking huge short cuts in a white GT-R earlier, and he got 3rd too because on the last lap when I was hounding him I started getting super bad lag and cars were freaking everywhere, next thing I know I'm in 6th.:ouch:

Mate, I seen many races between you and him, and I've had many many races with a1PAPAOSA myself. Before he was even a GTP member and before we knew each other he was very clean with me, and in the races I seen with you, him and I he avoided hitting you many times, he's very clean and fair. Maybe he's not aware of the waiting for people you hit by accident rule because he's still new here, so cut some him some slack instead of posting some huge text slagging him off thanks.

I'll inform him of the waiting rule just in case.

It wasn't a load of crap. We are side by side on a straight, and I was shoved of the track, how else would I veiw it. Especially adding the fact he didn't wait.

Now fair play to him if he was unaware of the waiting rule we have. I don't take lightly calling people out for their mistakes, because we all have them, they are inevitable in racing.

I will appoligise to him for the lack of slack that I have given him and hopefully we can all continue to have good racing as there are way to many punters out there already.

P.s. I will edit my original post.

Hang on, I know the incident you refer to, it was just after turn 1 right? That was me. I got caught in a sandwich between you and him, and I think you might even have had someone else on your other side. I tripped out, got squashed as we all tried to fit on the same piece of track, and we all crashed as a result.

Edit: I think you ended up ahead of me anyway, so we all just continued on.

I've only hopped in a GTR a couple of times.. and fast they maybe, but SO damn boring! Way too sanitised, in sound, in handling. Its like driving a vacuum cleaner. Give me something I can launch myself over the barriers anyday..

Are any of you driving the Ferrari with a pad?

I might give it a go later on.

Sneaking in a quick race while the F1 build up is on.

No not quite, the incident you should of witnessed was in the run down into turn 2 I was in front, then there was a1 in a white Corvette and yourself behind him, and he nudged me under braking into turn 2.

The other incident was between me and him in a black F430,out of turn one. Just starting the run down to turn 2, i was on the inside on the the race line has came along side and nudged me off onto the grass which left me in a spin on the grass.

I do remember the incident though that you refer and yes there was no real gain from anyone as we all recovered and carried on, which is fair enough.

I have edited my original post, and hopefully we can put this down to accidents and a new driver unaware of certain rules.

Cheers Jamie (Grim)

I think you guys have pretty much come to an end on this discussion.

I reckon it was probably just a bit of lag and he didn't even know he did it. For just ONE person to say something positive about another driver in my eyes mean they are fully aware of the correct ettiquette of racing in general and are worth our time.

Grim, you were obviously annoyed - I get like that too. My girlfriend doesn't understand how I can get so passionate about a ''game'' but it's competition and men love a bit of it! It's natural to get annoyed.

Put it behind you and next time you race him I'm sure it'll all be fine.

...can't you just feel the love?

:D

I just had another race @ Fuji, very addictive for sure. Although this time it was pretty much full of GTR's, The guy I was chasing in a Black GTR, (siom23) cheated every lap by cutting the corner @ Turn 10, then the other Black GTR behind me started doing it aswell, caught me up on the last lap and pushed me out at the last turn. Total losers.

Well, the GTR's obviously fastest here.

So if you want to avoid the newbie drivers in GTR's in the last few places, you need to be faster than them, surely?

If you beat me in the GTR and you are faster I'll use the Ferrari for the rest of the week.

*not week, day lol

I haven't tried the Ferrari, but I bet I'll be terrible. Only so much throttle control you have withthe shoulder buttons!

Here you have to pay for the channel that broadcasts it... -.-

Besides F1 is a bit boring nowadays. ^^

Well, I see F1 as a game of chess...but played on the tail wing of a modern fighter jet.

My brother is a racing driver and always aspired towards the pinicle of motorsport. That had a big influence on me as I'm 6 years younger than him. The dream came true true in 2007 when he got a full time drive for Aguri. Sadly, they ran out of money this year but it's still my favourite sport. I will watch it for as long as it lives, aswell as following my brothers career.

Yup, and rather the 250cc class because of Mika Kallio and more overtaking. ;)

Well if Stoner did'nt keep falling off, maybe it would be more fun to watch, like the Laguna Seca race untill Stoner binned it. :)

Enough off topic for me. Back @ Fuji later. 👍

Hei hei.

Why I can still drive among everyone else even if the screen says that I'm disconnected? :odd:

Hi all!
Firstly, I don´t guite get this GT-R mocking that some people practise. The GT-R clearly seems to be superior to F430 at Fuji because of it´s power cornering. It´s not the GT-R´s shame, is it? In fact, in real life the GT-R would beat F430 in "power circuits". For example, at Top Gear test track the GT-R clocked the same time as F430 Scuderia by the Stig of course.. (so maybe F430 Scuderia is needed in the next update?)
From the day one I tested the GT-R, I´ve loved the car. Keep it in the limit(which might be easier compared to other super engines) and get thrilled, exceed the limit and be killed.
Don´t get me wrong, I love F430, for example at Suzuka. The fact is, the GT-R battles are the thing that I´ve recently enjoyed at Fuji F. But, if you can beat me with F430 then you´ve made my day, positively. I´m just looking for thight, evenly matched, clean racing. See you online!

Finbaek is fast and clean.

In real life the GTR is raw and has intelligence, just like in GT5P...

I worked at the British Motorshow in the GTR lounge for Nissan. It's a fantastic car that should be celebrated, by the experienced and un-experienced drivers!

On GT5P it's clearly the fastest around Fuji. Chosing the Ferrari is admitting defeat already. I enjoy the GTR.

Yes just wanted to sing the praises of the GTR at Fuji, after months of tuned car races it is nice to have a great "stock" tuned race. The GTR at Fuji is a thrill get it right hit all the braking points etc. it is a great joy,get it wrong just by a tad it will turn on you demands the best out of you.just finished a 2 car race with GTP_Zodicas after butchering lap 1 I settled down we had a great race man can he wheel that Z06 around, hats off to you dude ,enjoied it as always.👍
