Nice pass on Alonso by Hamilton, and seems to have the better pace as well... but they both have to pit, and at least six other cars have enough fuel to make it to the end.
 
Leave it to Honda to have a car fire in a middle of a down-pour.
 
Hamilton is really picking up the pace. He just posted the fastest lap with a 1:28.193 a full second faster than Alonso's lap... and now they are both coming in for their stops!

Great stop for Hamilton, and that should make him a lock to win as both Vettle and Webber have to pit.

Alonso isn't doing so well, but should still be able to secure P2 by the end of the race. Kimi got stuck in traffic and continues to struggle in 10th, so I'm not sure he'll even be able to finish better than 5th even with a few cars in front of him that haven't stopped yet.
 
There goes Hamilton around...Kubica tagged him.

At least we're not having a Nurburg demolition derby again...running off at full tilt at the end of that straight would end very, very badly...

What race are you watching? :)

He has the fastest lap, and is leading the race, and pulling away from everyone. He just had a little incident on the track is all. :)

Alonso on the other hand is done after leaving his signature graffitti on the wall!

And with Kimi having to pit yet again, Hamilton is now fully in control of the driver's championship.
 
Good job we're all watching the race live eh? Hope no one who hasn't seen the race yet doesn't wander in and read this ;)

Anyway, what an entertaining race so far, 'ave it Alonso =D

It looks very much like the race will end with Hamilton, Kovalainen, and Masa on the podium in that order.

If so, not only will this be the first time this year that Renault has made it to the podium, but this also means that all Hamilton has to do to win the Championship is finish right behind Alonso in China... which will then give Massa a better chance of winning in Brazil as neither championship will be on the line.

EDIT: Masa has to make his fourth pit stop... Kimi now in 3rd?!?!?! :lol:

Wow, I just tuned in for the final 2 laps. This is insane! Heidfeld is out.

OH MAN MASSA AND KUBICA! WHAT THE LOL!
 
Heidfeld out with just one lap to go.... and Ralf came back despite being 10 laps down... only to retire again... like his future in F1... :crazy:

(I guess Ralf just wanted to beat Davidson from the garage...) ;)

I'm surprised they managed to get the race in under the time limit. Hamilton looked pretty good, given the negative visibility and total lack of friction...
 
Best race this season by miles!

The last lap was great, HK and Kimi & then Massa and Kubica Dijon style.
Brilliant race.
