Anyone who uses computers at school knows you can have some fun with them. The computers at my school have a server that blocks out all the sites deemed unsuitable for school (basically every site), and we've had a good time trying to bypass it. On all Win98 comp in the school you can just deselect the proxy server in IE from the Internet Options menu, but on the XP computers you are not allowed to change the internet options. However, a registry entry has been hidden in the shared network that when entered, takes away the proxy settings. The file dates from last year. The funny thing is, our computers teacher who is a great guy, caught us fooling around, but didnt do anything to us, and actually wanted to see how we got the block off. I think he was more interested in what we were doing than getting angry at us. Pretty fun stuff 👍.
