40 year old virgin is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen in theaters.
That movie was on earlier tonight but the boys were with me, so I couldn't watch it.

Right now, were watching the last of Batman Begins, but later on, around 1am, the 40 Year Old Virgin will be on again. I'll finally get to watch this movie. I've heard a lot of funny things about it, and can't wait to finally see it.

Anchorman is the Funniest movie ever!!
followed closely by Team America.

40 year old virgin was disappointing!!!! i was expecting a lot from Steve Carell but he didn't deliver:grumpy:

I just watched the movie last night and I thought Carell did great. I was a bit surprised to see the movie just wasn't all about his character. That worked for me.

Very funny picture. I liked it.

Obviously a film named "Hercules Returns" isn't widely available in North America/Europe.

A (now) cult film out of Australia, made in early 90's by memory.

Those who have seen it swear by it, funny as hell the first time, hilarious the second (that's cause you're watching someone watch it for the first time)

It'll be on VHS is some rental place somewhere...

Other than that I thought Mel Brooks' History of The World (Part 1) was worth the time also...

I've seen a lot of good funny movies and I do enjoy the lighter side of things comedy flicks. There are so many favorites I have grown to love to name some, How High, Talledega Nights, the Friday series, Walk Hard: The Dewie Cox Story. But the funniest movie I ever saw would be:

American Pie: The Wedding, aka American Pie 3. This is followed by a very close Jackass The Movie: Number 2, and Pineapple Express tied with Super Bad.

Probably going to have to say The Hangover. Don't know why, but I haven't laughed throughout an entire movie like I did with it.

I wanted to see that one! Was it as hilarious as people say it is, I hear it's packed with good funny moments?

I think the best comedy for me would have to be Airplane (1980).

More recent movies I enjoyed were Borat

and Step Brothers

GTPlanet has a lot of 'Movie' threads but not one yet so blunt. What's the funniest movie you ever saw, or hey what's your favorite 'Funny' movie you like to kick back and have hearty laugh at?
I beg to differ... It even has a very similar title.

Merged.

Airplane was a hoot.

My favourite funniest type movie is Peter Sellers' "The Party" from (I think its) 1968. Ohhhh man I was in tears quite a few times the first time I saw it.

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.

I saw some parts of it with my brother (who watched it enterely) and it had me laughing all the time. 👍

That's one scene that I'm glad they cut out for television. It is classic Mel Brooks, though - scathing, insightful social commentary and fart jokes, right next to each other.

They used that clip for a gas safety ad in the UK recently. 30s of that then the tagline "Gas and cowboys don't mix".

Funniest recent movies I've seen would have to be Zombieland. I love zombie movies and zombie comedies make it even better. Shaun Of the Dead is at the top of the list as well. The scene where they beat the pub owner with pool ques to the beat of Queen gets me every time.

Trading Places
Coming to America
Monty Python & the Holy Grail
Dodgeball
American Pie, i like the second one the most.
Billy Madison

Step Brothers
40 Year Old Virgin

Billy Madison
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Schindler's List
Freddy Got Fingered
Stealing Harvard

Anything Jim Carrey

Funny, because I think everything Jim Carey is stupid.

I wouldn't say it's funny, but it's certainly amusing.

And Now For Something Completely Different

It has some of the classic sketches from Flying Circus.
