Polyphony Digital nailed it!

I remember all the "make fun of Forza's rollover mechanices" videos that were floating around here when FM3 came out...

I was just about to say the same funnily enough. I'm sure this one will be swept under the carpet quite quickly by the GT fanboy defence brigade.

I am a GT fanboy and was laughing too hard to simply let the replay disapear. It was funny in the onboard view as all i saw was the black part of the bridge spining.

I've been making references to the "Gran Turismo Fanboy Defense League" for a while now. I like mine better. I guess it conjures up images of the Justice League or something like that, except it's a bunch of fanboys rather than B-rate superheroes (except for Batman, since Batman is awesome).

I did that with my x1 on cape ring. I now call cape ring rape ring because it'll totally **** up your car. Pardon my french but in my mind that fit so well.

Aye, I think yours is better. :)

Meh, that corner is the only place I've rolled a car. I hit it with my X2010 (in the opposite direction to this video) to see what would happen and after several cartwheels it got lodged under a bridge. The rollover physics ARE terrible, but as with so many other aspects of the game (damage, wheel/tyre strangeness as pointed out in another thread, standards being horribly pixelated) I see it so rarely that it may as well not even be part of the game.

Not sure you could call that defending it, but it's true, at least of my experience of the game. Of course there's no reason for the physics being so weird when games like Burnout Paradise felt believable, but if it bothers you a lot, I'd have to question just what exactly you do to keep flipping your cars if you're not doing it on purpose?

While we fully defend your rights to criticize any flaws in the game, labelling and name-calling are not kosher here.

I've infracted quite a few people for "whiner" comments. But labels like the "fanboy" are equally unwelcome here when used in the correct (or incorrect, if you'd like) context.

Franly, I'm getting sick of all the "defense league" posts. Especially as I see them in many places where there's nobody around acting the part of straight man.

Keep it up and we'll put an APB out an all such posts.

Thank you.

These are the things that make GT5 amazing. GT was never a game that was good with cashes, rollovers, or damage. The fact that they made a piss poor attempt at it in GT5 just makes the game funnier IMO. to me a crappy thing is just something that gives character.

Cracking stuff.
