I'm a moderator. I'm supposed to be hated, particularly by people who've already had cause to hear from us.

In the meantime, the people posting pony pictures are actually posting pictures in the funny pics thread - while you're just flooding it with whining and complaining about pony pictures.

And the more you complain, the more pony pictures get posted because people know it annoys you.

The fact that there are pony pictures and that you don't like them doesn't mean you don't have to abide by the AUP.

And I like the pony pictures, so I don't think that the statements "it's not funny any more" and "nobody likes it" are true.

It's not the fact that they're ponies, it's that some of them aren't funny. There are those that were created for trolling, and those that were created for lols. Look at the difference between Famine's and Azuremen's earlier ponies.

I used to come to this thread to laugh a little with gtplanet finest selection of funny pictures, now I just see puny responses using some mad ponies that are not funny at all and people angry with each other.

Edit: Actually the last one posted by Famine was funny and could be used as a standalone, the problem is the pony responses.

EDIT: Famine is funny in this context. Azuremen about 20% funny, 80% trooling/bitching/harrasing/.../ just for the fun of it! So thats a win right there (the irony)!

for me, the Pony responses to all the whinners has been some of the most funny moments this thread has provided in the last couple of months, so I don't mind them one bit. If they are funny in the way they are used they are funny, period. It's even better when the whinners try to post funny pictures but fail miserably. So, the new thread tittle is really fitting.

This times 1000. Me and a couple of other members including Type S Tony posted some trolldad/trollface comics on here and mostly everyone complained, so we stopped. At least they were funny; these Pony pictures are definitely not. I've even tried watching the show on YouTube to see if I wasn't "getting" it and that didn't work.

So, can we stop with the Pony pictures? Or can I just flood the thread with ridiculously unfunny pictures?

While I'm not going to comment on individual members, the problem isn't the style of what is posted but the content and the repetitive nature of what they're posting. I've had to remove several posts in the last month from the same small field of users because they just don't believe that the AUP applies as much to Helvetica 8pt typed out as it does Impact 36pt nailed to a picture. That's an issue.

There's no dividing line on what's funny and what isn't - different strokes for different folks and all that - just what's acceptable (or rather Acceptable) and what we've seen before. The trollface physics meme is at least variable, though other /b/-origin memes don't even have that as a positive and are just effective reposts. Reposts are just laziness.


If you don't find something funny, ignore it and move on - accept that other people have different opinions of what is funny. Clogging up the funny picture thread with whining about what you don't find funny helps no-one - people will just continue to post what it is you don't find funny because they know it will annoy you into whining about what's not funny again.

Famine, I am not trying to argue what's funny and whats not. There seemed to be a misunderstanding as why the treatment was not equal to both in what seemed, the same circumstances. If the former had AUP violations, the case changes figures, since the AUP is above the rest.
Still, since most of the pony responses are more trolling than anything, I don't see they're place here.

That's amusing, you actually think I care if you hate me. And please stop telling people to stop posting pictures, I for one will post whatever the hell I want so long as it doesn't violate the AUP or anything remotely serious; if someone is going to claim they're being violated by some goddamn pony pictures then I would suggest you step away from the computer and go on a bike ride or something.
