Maybe not "funny" as such, but I find this quite amazing...

Grammy Award nominee Phillppe Quint left a $4 million, 285-year old Stradivarius violin (which was on loan to him!) in the back of a cab in Newark, USA. The cab driver, Mohammed Khalil, returned the violin and was given $100 and a medal :ouch: However, Quint has arranged a private concert to say thanks, and has also given Mr. Khalil tickets to a performance at the Carnegie Hall...

What a lucky Quint... :sly:

Wow. If I came across a Stradivarius, I don't even think I could bring myself to sell it.

Damn it... how was I suppose to see that. :grumpy: In the times we live in today, It's pretty hilarious too. as long as you don't think too much into it...

lol, I agree with you. Just like the story you posted a while back about the kid who shot some other kid over a game. It's such a stupid laughable concept that you can't but chuckle and say WTF we're they thinking. Of course when you dig deeper and start to think about how their lives and the lives of their unborn babies are going to be affected it's not funny in the least.

Yeah, that's when I think maybe the world should've ended last Thurs... I mean, geez.. nevermind what the next generation is going to be like. I don't even want to have it continue. :scared:

Aww... come on, how many people do you know that will wander off where it says...

WARNING, DO NOT ENTER YOU'LL GET YOUR HEAD CUT OFF, UNSAFE, DANGEROUS, IT'S OFF LIMITS FOR A REASON, THIS STUFF ISN'T WORTH TRYING TO STEAL.

I used to work in an amusement park. You would be amazed.

How do you know he was trying to steal something?
The report I read said that he was trying to retrive a hat he lost on the ride. From experience, this is the most common reason people do this.

If you ask the ride attendant many parks have a claims service to get your phone number to contact you after it has been retrieved duringa down period. If only one train is running then it can often be done during a loading and unloading period.

For the record: There is nothing to steal under a rollercoaster track, because it is not safe to have something that someone may need under there.

I just added the stealing part in for the hell of it. also forgot sarcasm tags...

Yeah... I guess since all those people are still alive (or were when you saw them) are slightly LESS stupid than this guy?

Nope, I hit the emergency stop.

It's a pain because then you have to call both security and maintenance. Security to toss the guys out of the park and maintenance to restart the ride.

So David Davis romps to victory in yesterday's by-election in Haltemprice and Howden, no surprise there... but Mad Cow-Girl of the Monster Raving Loony Party scored almost 4 times the amount of votes that David Icke could muster! Sadly, I don't think that David Icke will take the hint and quit babbling his tremendous BS at us. I'm just surprised that he got any votes at all!
