One can only hope the next XJ is more coherent than the current one. I've never liked the nose or terrible rear pillar nonsense.

Whatever they decide to do, the next XJL has gotta have an optional chaise lounge.

I want these. CLS would fall to 2nd place in no time.

“JLR doesn’t want to be BMW or Audi in size,” he said. “Chasing volume relentlessly is a problem. We don’t have aspirations for more than a million a year between us. You can lose prestige.”

That's pretty telling, which makes me wonder what exactly they'll plan to do for the XJ. As much as I love the current car, the market is going all over the board in what they want or need to do to keep selling. It doesn't make sense to chase the Germans, and to go as soft as the Japanese and the Swedes seems against what Jaguar does. So, what does that leave? A weird alternative that takes a sporty demeanor, a bunch of luxury, and extra style?

Another rehash of old design? Lol no, even current one suffers from less space. Also rwd only is dated. But it's different to competition

Luxury version of Mazda's ethos, it seems.
