Sept 25th is the start date Remy_K is on the list but doesn't know when he can actually participate in the series but will most likly join in on test sessions.

👍 always good to have fast and experienced drivers around. Hopefully Biffy can also join a few practice sessions too.

Got family over...playing fifa...soz

lol TJC

Just call me TJ , I don't like the full version lol

+1 👍

I will be doing some setup and Pit Strategy Testing at Fuji F tonight at 9:00pm EST (maybe earlier depending). I will be running full race distance in Free mode in my lounge to primarily get a good idea how far I can push my tires and what refuelling may need to be done. I think at Fuji as its a 99 mile race we will not need to refuel the remaining race however I am positive we will need to refuel.

Hey! Gamesta, in this series will not be at least one track with changed weather?

I have my lounge open for the testing session I posted about earlier it will be open for about 1 hour 30 mins.

After testing for weather races last season I deemed for this series it would cause way to much frustration rather a good race so I keep weather changes out.

Can't say I'm too fond of those two road courses versus some of the other options (GVS, Tokyo, etc), but it's good to try all the tracks the game has to offer.

maybe we can talk him into doing a 12 round season 👍 i like tokyo, grand valley, rome, also all tracks on current schedule i think are great.

I'm very iffy on weekends after thanksgiving and this 9 week season works perfect for me, but if it gets extended I'll probably miss the final races. I selfishly say with stick with 9 weeks... I think Gamsta rotates tracks from season to season so you can probably just join next season.

I prefer the real life tracks.

I hate Tokyo with a passion lol.

9 Will be just fine for me.

👍

MAybe next season we will do more races but for this seasonI have already extended the calendar by 2 weeks.

Testing last niht I managed 30 Laps 2 Pit Strategy Quarter tank of fuel left 1:37.032 Fastest lap 1:38- 1:39 Avg lap

I will not be at practice this weekend so a reserve driver can step in for a full grid.

I won't be at practice either.

oops

Will not be at practise this Sunday. Took a shift on Sunday due to missing one this week due to sickness.

I will be there 100%. I think the GMT/BST offset makes it 4pm for me. Someone correct me if i'm wrong though..... 👍

It will be a good opportunity for the reserve drivers to practice and participate on Sunday , unlucky for the guys that have to work but i'm sure they're super quick anyway.

Last test before Gamesta gets us underway , hopefully we will have a full 16 for Sunday.

👍

Room opens at 4pm and I think the first race is at 5pm...

Thanks mate , just checking. :)

That's true for the regular season races, but for practice we have been getting the first race underway early because we get through several in a session.

Thanks for the heads up WRP001.

I'm in for Sunday 👍

Too busy to practice this week so far, Indy's always a tough track for me to get a rythym going on, sort of like Nurburgring GP/F, Exactly opposite of Suzuka.

I agree I thinks its to do with the tracks being as flat as a pancake...

It's definitely something to do with the flatland setup for sure, but I think it's more to do with short straights followed by tight turns.
The track map looks like a messed up puzzle piece

I like Road Course Indy. I like the braking challenge at turn 1 especially . Yeah I admit there are mickey mouse twisty sections but good timing under braking for them eases the pain somewhat .

The last slow right left is crucial for laptime gain and overtaking opportunities , keeping it steady & smooth here lines you up for a good overtaking manoeuvre onto the pit straight .....

Fun track to race on imo.

:)

So TJ, what are your practice times around the lovely Indy Puzzle Road Course?

Drafting on the straight is going to be a kick, especially if you nail that final exit as you suggest... we're going to have to be careful under braking when getting sucked in with the slip stream... hopefully nobody gets punted slowing down for that first chicane-like turn.

I love the Indy road course apart from the last corner before the straight...I can never nail it, theres absolutely no rhythm...Thats why I agree when you say its crucial for overtaking...

Lol , I haven't tested my Denso Sard on the puzzle course yet , i've driven GT500's there before quite a few times now along with other types of cars in the game. In terms of a laptime reference though I was very close to Gamestas test pace at Fuji , think I was 2-3 tenths down on his time , not my strongest circuit as I never usually race there.

Yeah I love the pit straight slipstreams ! Truly great fun 👍 I'm always very careful to brake a little sooner than the guy in front , i'm very good at following bumper to bumper. I think we'll be fine , the starts are always a little intense. How's your testing been?

I can find a rhythm through there , it's hitting just right , lap after lap that can be tricky sometimes . One lap you'll understeer the over you can oversteer , being smooth and patient on the throttle works for me. 👍

Yep , and that's one long straight to defend down if there's a guy on your gearbox.....

:scared:
