Garage Size?

I've searched the forums for 15 minutes so far, and I haven't found the answer. Does anyone know how many cars you will be able to fit in your garage in GT4?

It can hold all the cars in the game. But does that mean that if I get every single car into my garage will they show up in the arcade mode? I've read somewhere here that if X car was in your garage then X car can be unlocked and used in the arcade mode. Right?

Yeah I've wanted to know this and I am delighted to her that its basially inlimited unlike the crappy limited one in GT3 that couldn't even hold all of GT3's cars.

One of the cars in my garage is cetainly not available on the Arcade. I was looking for the F1 car in Arcade mode yesterday and could not see it, unless I was looking in the wrong place (I checked Japan). Not sure if it is the same for any other cars.

Hmm that's strange since I've always found myself selling my cars to buy new ones, I could of sworn the limit was 100.

I have 180 cars in GT3 so yup...it's definitely 200. Now a 1000 cars in GT4 , that is excellent!

1000 sounds a lot but compared to the amount of cars in the game, it isn't. It is enough for sure, but if you imagine you have all the cars and some of them double, triple or even more often, you'll easily reach 800-900 cars.

In the Japanese row, scroll all the way over to the right... it is there...

Yeah, the new garage is frikkin' huge. I've always thought I had a lot of cars in GT3, always having to sort them to find what I want, scrolling through it for five minutes in Arcade Mode to find the car I want. And I've only got about ninety cars in it!

i think i got like 1...2....3..........50 somthing cars in my garage now. so ive got a long way to go. now that ive been playin the game for a few weeks, i realize why the save is so damn big!

Is it possible to sort the car list of your garage with nationality / brand / power? I already hated searching for one particular car in my GT2 list.... I'd hate to see it only be possible to choose a car by going through a list ordered in the way you purchased them.

Yup in Gt4 you can sort the cars in your garage by all types of stuff like FF/FR/MR/RR, brand, year, power, weight... you name it.

And yes the formula car/s is in the japanese row in Polyphony.

I now have 100% of the game complete and about 300 cars and there´s still a lot to go to have all cars available in the Arcade mode. Many of them can only be found in the used market and are really hard to catch. Looks like I've still got a lot of hours to really finish the game.... oh and you have to keep doing the endurance races in order to purchase all the racing cars you weren't offered ( the Le Mans prototypes specially since the cost 4,500,000 each!!, the best prize is 1,200,000 for a 24 hour race.... )

apparently counting the all the colour variations and trim there are over 1200 cars to be had so you still can't have 1 of every single vehicle in the game, but at least the number is massive enough to cover all the "want-to-have" variations and then some!

If you count all the color variations there's going to be a lot more than 1200! I'd guess more like 5000. I've got 260 myself.
