I have a wheel and I've built a cockpit around it. I like the hood cam because it perspectives nicely with my setup. I'd like the race info off but just my gauges. That should be an easy update.
Who's with me on this?

Pause>Quick options> field of view>extra zoom
^that makes your vision zoom toward your gauges, and the in car wheel is less visible. also, you can opt to remove the in game gauges(tachometer, speedometer, ect) from this menu

Gauges only would be good, also be nice to disable the suggested gear light.

Yeah. That gear light is very annoying. I like the gauges only idea. OPtions, options, optons. lol

The gear light!
I hate that thing.
Whenever it gets late or I'm in a long race I find myself slamming on the brakes rather than following my corner speeds.

Yeah I couldn't believe it when they put those options in and there was no option for gauges only. Another "WTFPD?" moment.

Yeah that recommended gear light is stupid too, an unrealistic aid you cannot turn off in the ''most realistic driving sim''? WTFPD?

I just learned a new acronym! :dopey: :D

Turned off all the stuff on the screen and am using the bumper cam is the funnest thing I've done. Makes the game more challenging when you can't base your brake points on when the gear indicator starts flashing.

No joke. This is another GT4 feature that FAILED to transfer over to GT5. That's always how I raced: "Bumper" cam with speedo and tachometer ON - map / lap counter / time - all OFF. That is most def a WTFPD? lol.

I agree completely with MNLumberjack. We should suggest an option to disable it in the feedback section. Then we must all vote for it daily until it becomes one of the top ideas!

I'm in for a vote to this...!!

That "change gear/brake" indicator is really annoying.. even when I try to ignore it, my eyes and brain just keeps reacting on that flashing.. But I won't turn off all HUD, as I like to see my speed, revs and what gear I'm using (when paddle-shifting).

And I havn't been able to find that indicator in my REAL car yet... :D

Let's get it up on the feedback-page...
Suggestion could be to add it in the menu with the driving-options, next to driving-line, skid recovery etc., as it is in fact a "driving-aid"...

I just finished making a feedback post and a new thread!

Seeing as the thread that I made is turning out, I think that it's better to keep the discussion going on in this thread!

Wow, he didn't just take this off topic, he flat out jacked the thread.
He diverted people to something that isn't even related.
