Very neat, but without tire sizes I think it's impossible to use unfortunately.

Yeah I couldnt get it to work out fo me but I'm not a real tuner I use other peoples tunes and tweak the to fit my style of driving.

Edit:

If Polyphony did their home work they would have used what was stock tire sizes for most of the cars in the game and we should be able to google the tire size for a spacific car and use that in this calculator.

That's not strictly true, nor fair. I have had a fair degree of success using gear ratio calculations and Google sourced tyre and wheel sizes.

PDiddy did their homework, but they just haven't told us what figures they've used, so there's plenty of ambiguity...

To calculate tire size you only need speed, total gear ratio and rpm number - simple.

I like it because you have the RPM of the retake when you change the gears in red. LIke say the good doctor slump you can calculate the tire size to match with the max speed at a certain RPM / gear.
But you need to enter the size like this: ex:255/40/18
You can use this link to see how it give in "Rolling radius"

I also have my own excel sheet to calculate gears ratios.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjYj7nEWY7zVdFFMbkNVcUlTNFhBbXg5ZFl0Ri0xR2c

Use it like this:
1-insert your final gear and ratios in the yellow columns.
2-check on the setting panel the best RPM to shift and insert it in the blue column.
3-Take your car and check how many mph or kmh you run in a given gear at this exact best RPM to shift.
4-take note of this speed / gear / best RPM.
5- Insert in the black column a tire perimeter that will show the exact speed you note for a given gear.
6-you can copy this tire perimeter in all the black column.

Don't enter anything in the orange columns , they have formula inside.

It can help for a fine tuning on a special track for example.

Good luck, hope it will help.

Have a good night.
