Hopefully, sometime in the near future . . . Thanksgiving break maybe . . . I will get to actually take some time and play the 360. I really want to play GOW after having looked at some of the screenshots. Now I need to watch some of the game trailers.

No one has posted because most of us dont have the game yet. I get mine today after I leave work. I am really looking forward to play the co-op with Heather tonight on our 360s. Its going to be a great day as soon as I get out of work in about 6 more hours. Then I have thursday and friday off paid to enjoy this and COD3.

Let us know what you think of it when you get a chance to put down the controller long enough to type up a quick review. Same goes for COD3 whenever you get a chance to do the same.

This is one of my favorite videos of the multiplayer. Shows several curb stomps and use of the chainsaw. Watch the entire video because the very end is funny. Multiplayer video #4
I am avoiding all the other trailers so I dont see any spoilers.

You are not the only one jealous Duck. I am pretty much jealous of everyone at the moment who has a 260 and gets to play it on a pretty regular basis. I barely get a chance to touch mine once a week if I am lucky at the moment.

I'm gonna try and pick this up tomorrow, I found a 15% off coupon in the XBOX magazine for Gears of War at Circuit City. Hopefully it will be in stock because I would prefer to save $9. :) I've also got a 10% off coupon there also, so that will help for COD3.

I picked up on of the last two copies available at Best Buy, and I love it! My schedule today didn't allow for too much play time, but with the few levels that I am in, I love it.

Coolest thing thus far? Easily the chainsaw bayonet...

Well if each of them want to play the game at the same time, but not together, then how else would you be able to do it?

Watch each other and take turns on the console, and then battle on death match to see who does the washing up and cleaning around the house

But nothing beats playing co-operative play with your GF on seperate screens. ;)

Edit: Can anyone post up the list of achievements you can unlock for this game?

Only until the power bill comes through, because they cannot pull themselves away from the game.

So, anyone got a source on how long this game is?

I'm hoping the ACTs are just really, really long parts of a level.

IIRC, the whole single player is 10 hours.

Thereabouts, yeah. I usually take a bit longer than average to finish a lot of games, though, so it'll probably be around 12-14 hours for me. Especially with a game like this where it's so easy just to walk around and drool over the graphics.

Only been playing for a couple hours, still in Act 1. Aside from the "freebie" Achievement you get from finishing the tutorial, the only other one I have is Zen and the Art Part 2, five perfect reloads in a row. I think I've got that thing nailed pretty good, since I got five in a row before I even hit twenty-five reloads total (for the base Zen and the Art of Reloading, which I'll probably pick up later tonight).

Insanity difficulties triples the play time, also I read it was meant to be played co-op, as single player Insanity is insanly hard.

I've been playing nothing but ranked matches online the last day. I'm gonna be on there all weekend for the Emergence day thingie, if you guys wanna deal some damage just let me know. ;) This game is great online!

Hey, does anyone know if I can still play through certain acts, or Act 1, and still be able to load up my Act 4 scene?

I still can't believe you still pay for 2 copies of each.
You must realize by now that we have 2 xbox360s right?? We have 2 tvs, 2 xbox360s, so we need 2 of each game so we can play online together. You have even played with us in several games together so I know you must know this. How else would I play with Heather at the same time? We need 2 copies of each game if we play it online together. However I will probably be getting rid of her copy of COD3. We cant play the ranked games online together and actually I cant even get into any ranked games online. COD3 has major issues. GOW is sick and I posted my review in the GOW review thread.

On Casual setting Heather and I beat the game in about 8-10 hours.
On Hardcore it took us about 10-12 hours.
On Insane it is taking quite a bit longer. I will guess 12-14 hours. We are currently on level 3 which is our least favorite level.

I know about the Xbox 360's, but you still should think about sharing more lol.

There no need to swtich really. They are all the same but co-op mode is a litte more fun than single player, you can revive each other forever. Is co-op only 2 players?
