Co-op is only two players, split screen or over XBL. I haven't attempted it yet, but I've been meaning to call my High School friend Karl to see if I can get him to play with me...

Are you sure. Because I saw people online on Assination running on the ground crouched not near any walls.

Anyways, my and a new friend beat Ramm tonight. Took us long enough, .

hold A. you will start running crouched. other than that you cant crouch standing still.

When you hold A it causes you to enter a cam mode where you start running. You crouch as your run but you cant just crouch standing in the open. X picks up other weapons. You also crouch to pick up other weapons. Heather and I beat the game on casual, then on harcore, now we are on level 3 insane. Plus I have played almost 300 games online so I definetly know how most of the buttons work. :sly:
The multiplayer gets old quick. I am just hanging in there for a few achievements.

The plan tonight is to help Driftgod get through co-op levels 4 and 5 on casual. Hopefully we will have time to start over on harcore. I really really love how they allow friends to drop in and out at any time. Thats definetly one of the coolest features of any game I have played. :)
Tomorrow Heather and I will probably try to finish the game on insane.

The game came early afternoon:

So far, the game is very good. I wasn't too sure at first, but later on through the first Act it got better. I'm currently blasting my way through Act 2 on my own on Hardcore. I'd hate to imagine how hard it is in Insane, as it is pretty darn hard already. Co-operative play is almost necessity I suppose.

Congrats and make sure you play on co-op its much more fun! 👍

Got this game today, started playing four hours ago, this being my first break. I' m currently at the beginning of act 3 on casual.

I love the pace of the game!

Make sure you get a friend to join you in co-op. Dont go through this game by yourself. Its much better with a friend and the game was actually designed for co-op so if you play alone your missing a much more fun experience.

Yeah Drift, Ramm will be a pain in the ass even on Casual. It's definately a battle where having 2 people helps.

I would say the collector’s edition will not hold its value well for the next 5-20 years, but I reckon a game like Halo 3 legendry edition and Halo 2 limited edition will hold its value well for a long time to come.

Anyway I was going to get the limited edition version, but I went for the standard edition yesterday night, but you do not get much for your money in terms of extra's from the limited edition version.

Halo 2's Limited sells for $15-$20. So much for holding it's $60 value.

It may lose its value in its first 5 years, but the market for collecting limited edition prices at high prices takes time to come around, just like old memorabilia from favours films and sports.

But if you look at the C64 for example, that lost its value over time when it first came out, however once Retro was in, then the value went through the roof.

Anyone got any tips on how to beat the final boss on Act 5? I use the explosive arrows to get rid of the Kryll flying around him, and then shoot him in the head with the Rifle, but I can never seem to keep him away from me long enough before he gets too close, killing me very easily.

Edit: Nevermind, done it. It was pretty much getting the timing right to run down to the other end of the train without dieing.

If you do it again, only shoot when the Kryll are gone. You do more damage to his head that way as the Kryll protect him.

Yeah, I figured that out the first few times I fought him. I never even used the Torque Bow in the end. Doing perfect reloads with the Rifle help as well, which I'm getting better at all the time...

This game is excellent, playing on insane was a little too easy but loved every minute.

Heather and I beat GOW on insane on saturday. Holy crap Raam took us forever on insane. I am embarrassed to say we tried over 50 times for about an hour and a half before we finally beat him. I kept trying the torque bow over and over again then I finally gave up on it and just used the regular guns. At least now we have the really cool gamerpic that you only get by beating GOW on insane. :)

You get a gamerpic? Kick ass.. im going to boot it up now! :D
It took me a while, til I just unloaded 9 shots with the bow and shotgun blasts to the face at point blank. :)

Yeah, I agree so far. I'm not looking forward to the end boss though! I may have to get someone to help me if it's any trouble. ;)

I thought maybe Call of Duty 3 or Rainbow Six Vegas would give it a challenge. I guess not. I have all of these games and nothing touches the co-op or single player that GOW provides. Heck I still cant even get into a ranked game of COD3. COD3 has more glitches and bugs than anything I ever played in my life. It could be a good game but its going to need a ton of patches. I still have to check out the multiplayer in RSV but I know for a fact the co-op doesnt touch GOW. I am non bias and extremely open minded so dont think I am bashing the other games but dang GOW really is the next generation in gaming! I just wish GOW had more to offer in the multiplayer. GOW by far has the best graphics of any game on any system up to this day.

If anyone is willing to play Co-Op with me tomorrow afternoon/evening (around 4pm GMT) then I'll be here. I'm fighting RAAM on Insane, which is quite insane... I cannot seem to do it for my life on my own...

If you see me on and I am not playing something with my girlfriend then I would be willing to help you. Yes RAAM on insane is very hard. Just send me an invite with a message.

^ I would agree here for the most part. On the whole, this year has been without "major" titles for most of the consoles. I think GoW stands its best chance based on graphics and gameplay, be it innovative or not. There simply aren't that many games that look that good and play that well, especially being on the tail-end of the "first-generation" 360 titles.

Games I can see upsetting GoW:

- F.E.A.R
- Battlefield 2
- Half-Life 2: Episode One
- Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter

...None of those, IMO, could even touch GoW in most circumstances...
