Speaking of the devil:
Street Fighter X Tekken to let players customize fighters
By Randolph Ramsay, GameSpot AUSep 16, 2011 2:41 am PT18 comments
Producer Yoshinori Ono confirms new gem system will let players customize moves, timings for characters in crossover fighter.

TOKYO--Fighting games have long allowed players to customise their favorite brawlers, but most of these have stuck to purely cosmetic changes such as costumes or accessories. Capcom's upcoming crossover fighter Street Fighter X Tekken is taking the customisation options one step further and will apparently let players change character moves and even timing.

Everyone may still play as Ryu, but at least they're likely to play as different versions of Ryu.
Street Fighter X Tekken producer Yoshinori Ono confirmed to GameSpot today that the gem system--which has been hinted at in previous weeks--will go further than simple costume changes and will let players tweak individual characters and how they actually play. Ono said traditionally with fighters, characters are exactly the same, with the only thing separating players of the same skill being the ability to read a competitor (and a little luck). The gem system will drastically change this, letting players customise their characters so they are no longer straight clones, Ono said.

While Ono didn't divulge too many details, he did hint that the gem system will let players change moves and timing for characters. No other details--such as what the process is for changing or how often you can do it--were outlined, though Ono did say more details would be forthcoming at the New York Comic-Con.
Cloud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where did you put my materia?

I actually like Asuka and Jin. Though I wish that Jin returned to the Mishma/ Kazama style.

Jins Mishima Fighting Style with elements of Kazama Fighting Style was basically a rip off Kazuya. I hated Jin in that game. Now they've made Jin more unique by putting in his own fighting style, namely Traditional Karate. Also, if you want to play as Jins Mishima FightingStyle with elements of Kazama Fighting Style, Play with Devil Jin. 👍

"Learn a fighting style combining both sides of his Family

Has to be a ripoff"

"Learned the same fighting style her whole family has known for generations

Must be a ripoff"

Shouldn't be too hard to figure those out.

Here's what I don't get: How is it that Jin was called a ripoff (as was and still is, Asuka) for having the same moves as their family members but not Julia Chang? Is there some bias I don't understand here? I don't comprehend this thinking at all really, I could understand if it was a characther unrelated to the characther in question.

Julia Chang was adopted, I believe. But she still has most of Michelle's moves.
Julia Chang is the adopted daughter of Michelle Chang, who taught her how to fight, which is why their moves are the same. Julia first appeared in Tekken 3. Since then, Julia has appeared in all subsequent games up to Tekken Tag Tournament 2, in which she appears as her alter-ego. Julia has replaced Michelle's style and Michelle herself in the Tekken series. Julia hopes to one day reforest Arizona, which is where both Michelle and Julia live.
Xing Yi Quan based Kung Fu (various Kenpo / Wushu arts)
Lucha Libre Wrestling (as an addition) (TTT2)
Fighting Style Chinese Kenpo
She also likes King II <3

New interview, gives some detail about some characthers getting a retune since their last appearance:

Ryan Harvey posted on his Twitter about the announcements that were made at Super Battle Opera (Tougeki) 2011.

The first announcement detailed two location tests for SSF4 AE v.2012. The first location test will occur during Nagoya Street Battle 30 (this Friday) and in Osaka (Saturday and Sunday).

Capcom also announced new costumes for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v.2012 where they showed a preview of Yun, Evil Ryu and Oni. There aren't any previews available in image form yet.

Capcom's third announcement was an official 3v3 Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v.2012 tournament in Japan.

Members of the Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 development team left the audience with a few comments regarding Phoenix Wright at the end of their Tokyo Game Show stage show.
“At the end of the stage show Ishizawa mentioned that out of the 4 remaining characters Phoenix Wright is probably one that people are wondering about. Then the discussion turned to Phoenix Wright. According to Niitsuma, Phoenix fights without fighting. His standing weak attack has him showing the opponent some documents. His crouching weak attack has him looking for clues on the floor.”

I never said he wasnt good but he is no where near God like ( no one is )

Oh then why don't you share your wisdom with us then? Give us an example of "godlike" gaming, o great boomee.

Yeah, please do. Though I can be considered a God in many, fascinating ways. :sly:

Bout Daigo. Aside from getting 1st place in various games like Guilty Gear and Street Fighter. He did the full parry in a tournament match ( even if he lost that year too in 3S)

No I think the word God like gets used too often. As I have stated before I wasn't saying Daigo wasnt good( he is very good) but no one is God Like. My example of God Would be Jesus Christ and thats about it.

After not playing for so long, I've turned to poop at AE... took like 10 losses to finally start reading the opponent's patterns, habits, etc... also couldn't do a single tatsu rep.

"God like" is a really inflated term... you're not supposed to even take it literally, and please keep religion out of this.

To my knowledge, its hard to find footage of Daigo being beaten. Aside from placing 4th in this year Evo. He mainly places in 1st or 2nd in every tournament he enters. He is given the title "God of 2D fighting games" (2D格闘ゲームの神 "2D Kakutou Game no Kami") or Daigo" The Beast" Umehara
@AOS, it will get back to you. Just have fun playing 👍 I have been playing Guilty Gear and MW2
My average K/D is in the 20-9 with a M21 EBR or 50.cal rifle, and playing with Dizzy is a bit tricky.

Like I said before it gets used to often and No I wont though I am not making it a religious conversation(at least not yet) I am just stating facts. Anyways back to your scheduled programing

But I used God-like as a statement because he can't be touched. Reading a player is hard thing in a match ( unless you have the Wong Factor). However, there are so many god like moments that people consider for various reasons. Maybe its Mike Ross's comeback in Top 8 or HeartNana's Single Character victory in a 3vs3 tourney or were I clutched a win at a local tournament. But if you wanted facts that Daigo is god-like, there are websites and books about him. if he isn't the greatest player; he is the best in the world. I do have my favorites like PR Rog, Mike Ross, Latif and Poongko ( after Evo2k11), and Alex Valle.
