Ryus 2nd Ultra combo? I'm able to do that but the layout of said DS3 makes it more difficult than Metsu Haduken. The 3 Kick buttons ( X, O, R2) are very good but I have a dodgy R2 button, its very sensitive. :scared:

It would work though if you get a lp.Dp as a hit confirm, you can always use U1. IMO, U1 is a bit better than U2.

Anti-air: An Anti Air is something that keeps you opponent out of the air. Ryu has several of them that are useful for different situations.

-Ryu's MP SRK should be used as you main anti air. If you don't time it late, then it will most likely trade.

-Far Standing HK can be used for jumps that are outside Ryu's Dragon Punch range,but I recommend far standing HP instead.

-Far Standing HP is a very strong anti-air for jump-ins outside of DP range

-Crouching Fierce Punch should be used if your opponent is directly above you

Hit Confirm: Hit confirm is when you throw a move and it gives you enough time to see if the move hit or it was block so you can cancel in to super/specials.

Spacing:Is where you place yourself on the screen depend on the character you are playing, or your opponents habits and tendencies.

Zoning: Zoning is a way of controlling the space. Ryu has a good set of normals and specials that allow him to do this effectively.

- Hadoken should be thought of as a poke. It can keep your opponents out, and put good pressure at the same time.

- Cr.MK has a nice range and lowers your hitbox. It is a very solid poke and can be cancelled into a fireball on hit
 
Use L2 to perform Metsu Shoryu... L1 and L2 and defaulted at 3 Punches and 3 Kicks respectively. Don't blame it all on pad so soon, a lot of people play on one, including myself. So if we can do it, so can you.

An announcement for the SFxT stick from Mad Catz should be coming soon.
And this is why I've always hated the TE.
 
Whats a shame really is that the AE characters (Evil Ryu, Yun, Yang, Oni) don't get trial challenges and force you into SSFIV mode, no intuitive way of learning their unique moves like all the other Super characters get.

You don't need trials to learn a character, not when you have... THE INTERNET!

Screw the TE, it's the same technology every time, just recoloured plastic and rebranded front panel... who can't do a simple colour & paper swap?
 
He has us, SRK, and Gamefaqs. Its probably why I like the first round TE than the others.
 
Just when I thought of using DeadPool/Wolvie for the DHC Glitch, out comes UMvC3.... Using just about everyone is hard for me right now. I drop combos all the time. The only character I don't really drop any combos is Wolvie, and even he isn't good enough to break someone's defence.

Should I use rocks or Plasma Beam assist?
 
I've been running Wolverine(Barrage)/Taskmaster(forward Arrow)/Doom(Rocks) and it's been going pretty well. Rocks are so nice to advance behind and you don't have to be close to call it out. Taskmaster is really just there as a second character but his arrows beat a lot of projectiles and it also works for advancing behind if rocks aren't available. Task can also DHC nicely from both Fatal Claw, and for the rare occasion where you find yourself using BBX as well. Really liking the feel of the team so far although it's a bit jarring going from Wolverine's hyper fast pace to Taskmasters sort of methodical combo's.
Reading the forum and depending what you want. With Rocks, you can go around them and pressure them. But with plasma beam, Its a full push back so you can get in.
Logan (slash), Hulk (wave), doom (missiles)

midscreen you can do Hulk-assist and imidiately after that H.slash
H.slash will crossup and hulks waves will bounce them back into your s.H -> S -> combo

also works in combos:
combo into s.H+A xx MSlash -> s.H -> S -> continue

in corners Hulks waves wiff but here comes doom into play:
press Assit and than go for the crossup-slash -> foe will bounce into doom who is launching his missiles and you can combo sJ into drill claw -> dive kick -> continue

hulks waves help to get in and dooms hidden missiles hit OTG (yes! they do!)

standard combo:
cr.LMHS -> j.MMH xx drill claw -> divekick -> H+A(doom) -> S -> j.MMLHS -> (missiles hit OTG)
corner follow up: simply do a HC
midscreen follow up: do HC or do barrage(mashed) into HC

midscreen the missiles that are supposed to hit OTG sometimes disappear but thats a problem belonging to the doom thread...

Deadpool is my point right now.

I had Trish in mind by I can't deal damage consistently because I keep dropping her air combo, especially if it's not in the corner.

I still want Doom on my team, but I feel Hidden Missiles don't exactly cover him when he's vulnerable, and I don't see the point of Sent because having another projectile assist is wasteful and I can't do his air combo...I've been trying to do M, H xx fly, L L H S and I still haven't been able to land that.
 
With Sent, why don't you just do S, J.M, j.h.j.S, M rocket punch into Drones?
Character Changes:

Wolverine
Berserker Slash is not invincible and slower. Can be hit very easily .
Wolverine is apparently at about 75% of his old overall speed. (TBC)
Wolverine has a new move where he does a bunch of slices at close range, with the odd shoutout to "Swiss cheese." This attack is similar to Chun-Li's lightning legs, except it's with his claws.
Wolvie has had a health nerf (TBC)

Phoenix
Can only have one action per jump... meaning one fireball then she floats down.

Tron
Gustaff Fire assist has been nerfed, a bigger hittable box (TBC)
Trons j.H knocks away making it harder to combo after
Trons Bonne Strike has quicker recovery (TBC)

Wesker
Has a health nerf (TBC)
His teleports are slower
Wesker's Air Grab doesn't drop the opponent right below him, now they go flying across the screen.

Dante
Properties on some specials have been changed, ruining some of his BnB combos (TBC)
Hammer invincible air move has been nerfed (TBC)
Dante's j.S has more start up
Million dollars is more punishable
st.L and st.S have slower startup.

Zero
lv.3 Buster causes soft knockdown now (was hard knockdown before).
Zero Rekoha hyper is now wider and covers more ground (TBC)

Taskmaster
Vertical shot (horizontal) distance is now the same as his QCF+M+H
Taskmaster has a new move called the Charge Sting. It impales the opponent, can combo into it. It appears that he can grab and combo after his Charging Star move now.
Taskmasters Shield Charge b+H has had it's distance increased (TBC)

Arthur
health has been buffed (TBC)
Arthur’s air S makes him dive to the ground very quickly now, allowing him to combo easily

Haggar
f+H now causes bounce rather than huge hitstun (TBC)
Haggar's Lariat assisst doesn't cause hard knockdown anymore.

Ryu
Can cancel his overhead into specials
Hyper Fireball now bounces off of walls
Ryu can charge up his fireballs and they fly so quickly you can barely see them on screen. Charging can be done by holding down the button, like in Street Fighter X Tekken. A fully charged fireball will explode on contact, causing a wall bounce. He can also charge his Shoryuken now. Ryu can cancel his overhead with special moves now.
Has a Denjin Mode Hyper dd+2ATK. Makes all of his specials and supers better, even works when you tag him out for a powered up assist.

Spencer
Has a new move, an air dive that OTG's

Viewtiful Joe
Has the "Slow Dodge" move now. It's a special move that's super cancellable. In the Viewtiful Joe games, if you activated Slow and you got attacked, you'd dodge.

Magneto
Has a new special move where he sucks you in with magnetism. Gravitation magnetizes the opponent. Repulsion pushes them away. Attraction pulls them towards you. His air-to-ground dash is slower now.
Magneto Disruptor MUCH slower

Akuma
Hurricane Kick Assist doesn't knock down anymore, the opponent will flip out. Also cannot infinite light tatsu in lvl3 xfactor.
Akuma has a Demon Flip Command Throw now (TBC)

Dormammu
Possible timing changes for air combos. (TBC)
Reports that his Zoning Specials have become better in speed and recovery. (TBC)
Dorm puts Flame Carpet slighty further out & hitbox change(?). Can cause OTG to hit once and knock people away mid-screen. Causes corner Flame Carpets to hit once on some characters because of the distance it's laid out. Flame Carpet also disappears when Dorm is hit. (TBC)
Can charge Dark Spells while airbourne. Can only charge one at a time and is vunerable until he lands. He stops in the air when performing this special, in the same manner as Dark Hole. (TBC)
Reduced hitstun on cr.M (TBC)
Increased distance on backdash (TBC)
Liberation in the air causes him to teleport to the ground and then perform the release. (TBC)
Can attack out of down-back airdash. Most likely up-back too. (TBC)
Dark Dimension has a larger hitbox. No longer passes under bouncing opponents. (TBC)

Storm
Has a move that pulls in the enemy and pushes them away with wind.

Captain America
Has a double jump now
Captain Americas Shield Slash is faster (TBC)
Captain America overall is a faster character (TBC)

She-Hulk
Slide (cr.C) has had it's range nerfed
She-Hulk's new move is her pulling out a stop-sign and whacking them with it. Can wallbounce, apparently has armor but slow start-up. Reverse DP motion.

She has been sped up
Her Hypers and overall damage output is higher

Doom
Dooms j.H laser is faster
Faster cr.L (TBC)
Launcher appears to be safer on block (TBC)

nk4e, about last night. Well we had really good heated battles (all of which I won ;) ) but it was all spoiled by connection issues. During our last fight most notably, my internet died completely on Round 3 and by the time I brought it back to life I had to turn my 360 off. But you were no match for me!

Anyways, the SCV Comic-Con trailer looks awesome, looks better than SCIV. Ivy looks the same as she did in SCIV though. Siegfried, Older Wiser, Better.

I haven't seen any footage yet besides the Ryu screen shot. Those point of the fantasy bracket is to make side bets lol, since we expect justin to get in the top 8 last year anything is possible.
 
I'm going to copy my friend and carry a wicked backup assist that will keep me safe upon getting my ABC series blocked. So should I go with Doom's Plasma beam or Rocks?
 
Plasma Beam, if you want to play keep away. Rocks, if you want to chip and distract.
 
Forget the team style for a minute. What if I managed to break through his offence but screwed up the combo. I'd need an assist to back me up, something I realized I've been lacking for a LONG time.

I think Plasma should start faster and it covers more.
His Plasma Beam assist is a great slow-startup beam useful for keepaway and setting up cross up unblockables. The Hidden Missiles assist is a great one for just throwing out when it's safe as it does the full 8 shots and is his most damaging assist of all, coupled with a massive delay between firing and hitting giving you a lot of time to start a combo or teleport etc. His molecular shield has really quick startup and is good for those get-the-hell off me situations, but does the least damage of the three.
You are right, rocks is faster.
 
Covering the screen with unhittable hitboxes is good never the less. 👍

I was thinking of a combination of rushdown AND keepaway, making it a hybrid team, where Doom would be the one to tie it all together by playing both... I just have to try out Deadpool's Quick Work Assist. If it comes out fast enough, I can use this to set up to create an unblockable with Wolvie...Though Katana-rama might be a better choice, since hitting low with the character you control is much quicker and I can easily just spam cr. L until Katana-rama hits.


Did you know H. Katana-rama doesn't hit low? It's like an overhead where it's unblockable if you crouch... even SRK's MVC guide doesn't cover that!
