Going to attempt to do the 24hr Nurb using the Vertigo. While testing both cars on the High Speed Ring this is what I discovered:
Here's the question then I'll get into the supporting evidence.
Do you think the Vertigo would beat the Bentley at Nurb over the long haul?
I personally think if set up for quick acceleration (it's lightening to begin with) the Vertigo would win by a long ways; because of the speed-up/slow-down nature of the ring. The Vertigo would just keep opening a gap over 70-80% of the ring because of it's ability to get up to speed fast.
Vertigo
Not a heck of a lot written about in even on the web. It's a pocket rocket. Lightening acceleration with a normal top speed of about 225. Adjusted the tranny to go to 255. It will hit about 235 on the H-Ring. The down side is it's a highly unstable car. You have to drive it "right" all the time. Unlike a car like the 458 Italia which has the ability to overcome mistakes and maintain stability.
Bentley
The Bentley on the other had is a superior car on the H-Ring by about 2 seconds. It won't get off to the same lightening start as the Vertigo but it'll cruise effortlessly at a higher speed. Key word EFFORTLESSLY. It's like a big supercruiser. One of the most stable cars in the game.
Anyone who has the time should run the Bentley against the 908 on the H-ring.
The problem on the Nurbring is that the Bentley can handle the slow-down/speed-up as well as the Vertigo.
What are your thoughts?
