Gioteck FR-1

Hey everybody,

has any of you ever tried a Gioteck FR-1 (the "casual" racing wireless wheel controller) and if yes, does it work with GTAV?

I have not tried it but I can tell you that steering wheels are not supported by this game, so its quite unlikely to work on GTA5

Yes, I know about steering wheels.. but I was wondering if this one, being actually an accelerometer device, maybe is managed as a controller? I've read that some wheels can "simulate" the DS3, maybe this one not being a real wheel is actually doing that in order to work? It may be a cheap turnaround to play GTA with a "wheel"..

If it works like its a DS3 then it might work. Does the company list what its controller is compatible with?

It's only my speculation! The info on their website is very generic (something like: "works with all driving games")

That ALL is the base of my hope. It would be great for GTA and Driver SF.

The opinions being not so positive (applied to GT6), but I think it should be still better than driving with a controller (for those games not supporting the wheels). Anyway, the general reviews from the press are actually positive on the device, especially considering the very cheap price.

I think I'll get one, if it's total rubbish I can still put it on eBay.
