I know several girls that do GT5,Cardinal Rose, she's one of the "mods" at the PS forum,Snakeyes427 hangs out over there and is also a member here,uh then there's Misd3vious (sorry if I did'nt spell it right) and all three of them are pretty good racers so there are girls that race, don't get discouraged by a few idiots!:)

by "mods" i guess your talking about people who have to much spair time and monitor the site as if thay have authority.. Cha0askkrissie in the motorstorm fourms.. god not to mention TrAXX , the ps fourms need real mods not "post mods" like we curently do XD , of topic tho

Actually CardinalRose is a "Community Moderator" not one of the wannabe mods that are continually lurking around so they can yell about "improper" post locations and such......

Im a girl and I never get kicked.

Plus, my entry message says I am.

I wish more of them played, I've only met one and she didn't have a mic. But it was no fun getting beaten badly by her :p

Don't forget the queen of GT5 drifting, Gonales. She can hang (sideways) with the best of them.

I'm more then happy to lose to a girl (as long as she won cleanly like any racer should)

I don't mind your sex, your sexual preferences, your religion, your flag... etc to infinite.
But there's a lot of people who will kick you because of something of the above. The forum rules don't allow me to write what I think about this kind of people.

I just kick dirty drivers and lammers.

Theres a lot of kind racers here hosting races...
If you get kicked for being a girl is your fault: Stupid people exist. Is a fact. Assume it. (You can't kill them all) Next time just chose the right host or the right people. :)

Slowly accumulate friends that you race with consistently. You'll eventually build up a list of decent non-discriminating drivers where you'll create your own lounge or if you're in an open lobby, your friends will fill the room.

Most of the rooms I join I will usually have 3-4 friends in it and after a few races, more friends slowly trickle in when they see you online. If not, send them a message and they'll probably join the room you're in. If none of your friends are online, which is unlikely once you have 50+ friends in your time zone, create your own room and send your friends a message when you see them sign on.

I wish more females would play, actually.

This. I only have like two girls on my list that would actually play gt5, but only like once every two weeks or so though. And all the time i've been playing gt5 online, I've only seen probably 4 girls in an online public lobbies.

Gamer girls are awesome, especially ones into racing sims. You're welcome in my room anytime

 very nice 👍

Just saying, because I keep being kicked from lobby's as soon as I enter, and messaged 2 asking why and both said it's because I'm a girl? Does this pretty much mean I should just pack in playing or something? It's really annoying if honest, annoying enough half the time I get kicked for being from New Zealand, and when I explain I'm actually in the UK, I get booted for being an immigrant... (even though I'm a British citizen, but my family is from New Zealand). It's like sorry if you don't want to be shown up by a girl.

Question is, is it just me finding this kind of crap or is it pretty wide spread and people are just that immature?

More than likely just immature kids, don't worry about it.

Just tell them that in real life you're Danica Patrick!...Then watch as all the idiots drive into walls and each other!...:sly: 👍

it can be VERY annoying at times having a girl in the server

i can recall a time when i was in a drift server, girl comes in, and of course every retard in front of me slams on their brakes and turns around so they can go follow her around. sigh

hey, if you love attention, more power to you. but you dont need to advertise in your enter/exit messages HEY IM A GIRL!! cmon..

I've seen more men be complete idiots then I have girls.

I don't think I have ever been in an online lobby with any girls in it......

🤬 that, just because you're a girl doesn't mean you should stop playing GT5. It's unfortunate that there are so many immature people playing GT5 but like anything else in life, don't let that stop you from doing something (that isn't negative) that you enjoy doing.

I really think any lady can be an effective racer. As long as they're dedicated and good for their level of play, as I'd expect any gentleman to be, it's great. I think that racing can be the most level playing field of any sport out there, especially sim racing. Two totally different individuals can post identical laps times in identical cars. It's down to dedication, not body builds unlike other major sports. Plus, under the helmet and in the car, who can tell the difference? So, by extension, heck yes, they can play. Drive on, Ladies!

This is something new to me. In quite a few years of online gaming, I've never seen anyone kicked for being a girl. 99% of the time at least three-quarters of the room starts trying to become their best friend as soon as they find out someone is female. Usually either going overboard with trying to "help" or just incessantly filling up the voice chat(and even text sometimes) with non-gaming chatter.

Most girls I've come across tend to hide - or at least not advertise - being a girl just to be left alone. If a girl is causing problems for being an annoyingly terrible player, perhaps, but that works for guys too. I've seen young boys kicked purely for sounding like a girl(particularly if they overcompensate by having the dirtiest mouth in the room), but never what the OP describes.

Maybe some people just do it to avoid the hyperattention interfering with the room, or maybe I guess some gamers just hate girls. There is also a possible negative reaction to someone joining the room and saying "hey I'm a girl!"

Of course! Just as guys are welcome to play Barbie: World of Ponies...

don't mess about with random lobbies. go to the online racing section and find a club that will race with you, or set up your own racing club. pretty sure you'd have full lobbies all the time.

Doesn't bother me when girls play. I play frequently alongside a girl driver, who is a pretty good driver, and I enjoy pacing her :)

I have CardinalRose and SnakeEyes427 on my friends list. Card is more of a Need for Speed racer and Snake is damn fast and very good at tuning. I know of MissDevious but don't have her on my list and have not raced with her yet.

Let me get this straight, people who were sat in front of a TV screen with either a wheel or a DS3 control in their hands, kicked you from a game lobby, because you were a person sat behind a TV with a wheel or DS3 control in your hands?

Kicking people for any reason other than really bad lag, bad driving or just being an A* 🤬 is really really pathetic IMO.

I'd recommend playing GT5 over making babies

I'm afraid too many guys (I won't call them gentlemen) are trying to do more than race with the ladies who join them. They need to use the joystick on their controller and race.

I don't have many female uncles though...

You're missing out then. :sly:

All the people that get discriminated against at least have a clue why people treat them disrespectfully. For me, I honestly have no idea why other than ignorance on a massive scale.

Still, it's getting so bad these days in online gaming that you pretty much need to collect a group of people you know to play with at all. It's not too difficult to do, just add people to your friends list who are mature (or at least act mature) and otherwise pleasant to play with. You wouldn't just walk into a random school, find people playing sports, just join in and expect everyone to suddenly be your friend. The same can be said for online, except with everyone safe behind thousands of miles of wires, they take the liberty to say and do whatever comes into their seldom-used head.

Don't feel like you're the only one who gets treated that way. It's just that there are certain elements about you that they direct their actions. In your case, it's because you're a New Zealand/immigrant/girl. For everyone with the American flag next to them it's because they're (obviously fat and stupid, for everyone with the British flag, it's because they're crumpet-munching, tea-drinking, people with bad teeth.

What else is new in the world? :)

You've pretty much summed me up there XD

I've got a series going and we welcome all clean drivers male/female take a look at my signature.

Girls in GT are fine, not all racing drivers are men! :dopey:

Although, some act so immature at times it makes me think they're 12. One thought X2010 challenge gold using a DS3 was impossible and proceeded to call me a liar when I was racing. Another was last in every race, called us every name in the book (it got censored), rammed us out of the corners during practice/race and then when someone decided to reply to her, she said, "Hey u know I'm a girl u moron!" If I were to be able to trade all the immature kids in GT5 for girls, let it be.

That's no cool, The ones than deserve being kicked from rooms are all those kids than scream, crash into others and behave as assholes in the rooms. In certain way I know how do you feel, In MW2 I have to hang out with racist comments; I'm mexican and I use the mexican flag title so when I perfom well I received a lot of racist comments (I don't hear this kind of comments in GT5 because my account is from US PSN so an US Flag appears in my ID jajaja) , but that only makes me use proudly my mexican flag :dopey:, so don't worry to show than you are a girl, hopefuly you will find at any moment a room with tolerant people :P

In my opinion, we need more girls on games like this, not nut heads kicking them out.

We need more females doing drags, who agrees?
