Here you go guys. I made a video demonstrating the problem about the "new" and inaccurate LFA exhaust sound effect i've been getting for any LFA since the 1.05.

Tried everything within the power of my PS3 to get rid of it, but its not going away unless PD fixes it.

So I ask again. Is anyone else experiencing this?

My recording:

This is what the real LFA sounds like:

This is what GT 5 LFAs sound like stock before the 1.05 update:

Video 2:

And after the 1.05 update (stock exhaust):

Thanks to Corpsey. Now I know how to embed. lol

Sorry, what's wrong with it?

Listen to the sound. It sounds NOTHING like the actual LFA or the original version before the 1.05, which sounded like the real deal.

I'll put up some videos of the correct sound it should have.

Lol. Just found another video without someone else who has the same problem. Guess i'm not alone. So it really has been a bad update all along. Time to fix it PD. :)

Fix what though? It's not like it sounds like a Mustang, what exactly is off to you? That video I posted (I believe that was an official LF-A video from Lexus) sounds a LOT like the video you posted (in my opinion).

Arey ou absolutely sure you're watching the same video. I'm talking about the first video I posted is whats wrong with my car. Compare it to the nest two videos. The sound is wrong. The 1.00 version of the sound in the game is the correct one.

The sound you posted is of a car at a standstill, in neutral, with a mic right behind it. Why would the GT5 LF-A sound like a motionless LF-A with a mic shoved up it's tailpipe?

Look at the videos I've posted and tell me what the difference is (besides the real life one obviously being a bit more gritty and realistic).

The third vid is a freakin joke, he's shifting at like 6k RPM so it's not even getting to the loudest section of exhaust noise.
None of the exhaust noises in the game are as loud or as gritty as real life, not just the lfa. To be honest though, the LFA has THE BEST exhaust noise in gt5 IMO.

If you're looking for the low rumble rather than the high whine, it's there at low rpm's it's just that it's not very loud unless you crank up the volume on your tv.

How in the world are you guys NOT noticing what I'm talking about?

Listen to the LFA in video 1 and video 3 and compare the exhaust sounds. They are different and they are both stock.

Video 1 is from my game which features the sound that came after the 1.05 update. It sounds like a rapid high pitched electric girgling sound. It doesn't even sound lie a real car!

Video 3 is from before update 1.05 and features the correct stock exhaust sound! It sounds like the real thing!

That is what i am talking about!

here is the other video I found with another person who is having the same problem as me, where the stock exhaust sound has been changed.

It has nothing to do with low med or high revs. The sound is completely different for the LFA between the 1.00 and 1.05 and after versions.

What do you mean the rev's have nothing to do with it? Does your car sound the same in real life at 1k rpm as it does at 6k? If so you may want to get that checked out.
Video 3 the lfa is surrounded by a TON of super cars. The exhaust noise you're hearing is a mix of all the cars in the area.
In fact, when cars get that close to you in GT5 you can't even hear your own exhaust.

I have noticed the difference in sound too, but personally I thought the 1.05 sound was better.

THANK YOU! Someone else notices! I'm sad that you think the newer sound is better, but its not the point. hehe.

The newer sound is incorrect and the original sound is the correct one.

Thank you again CCX. Now thats three people I know of who also have this glitch.

Hope PD takes notice.

SohnVonStig... You just don't understand what I'm pointing at do you?

And you are wrong about the other cars affecting the sound coming directly from the LFA. 👎

maybe you schould change camera ? like in these videos ? Notes are diffrent but those are two diffrent cameras.

I correct myself

Same camera same track videos before and after or it didn't happen. That is the internet law..

No I totally understand, I'm just saying that all the exhaust sounds are not accurate in the game not just the LFA.

I'm not saying that it affects the sound coming from the lfa, what I said is that it DROWNS it out. If you drive beside another car or near another car in gt5, that car's exhaust noise drowns out your own.

Honestly, listen to your first vid (post 1.05 sound), starting at around 1:29 in the video when you start driving and then listen to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-3PBD1aXD8 starting around 2:22.

REGARDLESS of what it sounded like originally, I think it sounds accurate now.

The camera doesn't make that much difference, the sound definitely changed after 1.05.

Nope... Video 1 in the first post is what I recorded a few hours ago. I was clearly changing views. The sound doesn't change.

The only way I could get people to see exactly what i'm talking about is if I were to put GT 5 code versions 1.00 and 1.05 or above side by side and play a video of a stock LFA. Then you guys would see that the exhaust sound has been changed by the updates and no longer sounds like the real car!

It may not have affected most people, but I and a few others are experiencing this incorrect stock exhaust sound.

The camera makes a HUGE difference :dunce: Question: do you hear the same noise if your standing behind a car as when you're sitting in the cockpit?

edit: so far you've found 2 others in a community of how many?

Lol I dont see how people dont notice the difference you must be messed or something.

Definately alot higher pitched post 1.05. I dont even have that car anyways though as I think it is ****.

Listen to the first vid and then the third. If you cant tell any difference you need to get your hearing checked out.

Nope. There is no rapid high pitched electric girgling sound coming from the car in that video anywhere as I described earlier.

There may be a difference but that is because in the pre 1.05 vid the driver is shortshifting before the red line.
