Global Rallycross Championship

Checked the SST website, they have not put out a press release, but they have updated their schedule page. Now says their race will be at the MGM Grand Entertainment Center, and the date has been changed from Friday Nov 7 to Wed Nov 5. The exact same day as the Global Rallycross race in Las Vegas. Brilliant move there... 2 Series that are both new, trying to grab an audience, going for the same demographic, and they move their race to the same mid week date as the other series in the same city. Well, i'm probably still planning on going, but they have made it an easy choice, GRC is much better. Too bad , was looking forward to checking out SST.

I have talked to Robby personally about GRC VS SST, SST has some better racing I think but there is less interest involved.

I'm going to guess the reason why he moved it was mainly to try to piggy back people who are in town that day or possibly try to show it up too. GRC is going to be big just because, but Vegas doesn't have the right area for SST as far as course wise unless they went out to a short course track.

Not sure I understand your post.. piggy back people who are in town that day, you mean for the rallycross race? I'm thinking its impossible to go to both. The GRC Final on Nov 5 is at 7:35 PM. I don't have an exact schedule of the SST race, but i know its going to be a night race, and I doubt it is late enough for anyone to be able to do both. If the SST race starts at like 8:30 or 9:00 then i'd try to go to both since MGM is just a few minutes walk down the road from Linq casino, but i'm guessing both races will be going on at the exact same time. It may not be a substantial amount, who knows, but i'm sure there will be some people that would have gone to both that will now only be attending one of them...

Yeah, I think NBC will show the GRC Vegas race at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Sunday. I may or may not see the highlights unless NBCSN starts to show off the event or something.

[UPDATE] I forgot to mention it will be on this Sunday. I made the changes.

The race is available on demand at live.redbull.tv is has also been uploaded to youtube on 2 seperate accounts, just search GRC Las Vegas 2014 and it should come up. Much better coverage than the 1 hour (45 minutes after commercials) broadcasts by NBC. Includes coverage of heat races and the lites.
 
At 1:30 PM EST, NBC will show the GRC action from Las Vegas. Just a heads-up for you all...
 
Without spoiling the race results or anything, I just want to give a shout out to Emma Gilmour on making her first GRC Final. She's the first female to make it to the Final of a GRC event after she transferred in the Last Chance Qualifier in the Vegas round. All congratulations to (the Vegas Round winner) and (the 2014 GRC champion).
