We don't need 24 people to go, I don't think we'll be the only people entering the race.

Regarding the number of drivers per team, having 2 or 3 a team still means 40 mins - 1 hour track time each, belive me you don't want to be in a go-kart for 2 hours and then have to drive home afterwards. 2 or 3 driver teams would be ideal, 4 driver teams means only 30 mins each, which isn't bad, but I'd prefer 40 to an hour.

Fair point, and it is a cheaper alternative. Where is the track anyway?

Me too! (So long as it isn't fall between Sunday 6th - Sunday 13th August or Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd of September).

Remember Monday 28th August is a Bank Holiday, if that's any help.

Good idea!

Ohh, I wish I lived in the UK, this looks like alot of fun. :(

... Any South Australians wanna go Karting? I'll be at one of the tracks this weekend. :dopey:

Yeah, just try to find a track that is equal distance from you all. I would guess you would only have to travel 3000km or so!!!!

Make sure there's a pub nearby aswell. Go karting is a thirsty business.

I'm going to stay over night I think. Or just have one pint.

Well I'm in Essex so anyone around me can have a lift if they need one. I think we should have GTP UK pub crawl around the west end.

Yeh it'd be crazy. We could go ministry of sound, or maybe even Stringfellows for the over 18's.

It depends on location for me. There's one in Kent, i think it's buckmore park, but i'm not sure.

COUNT ME IN!!!!

im going to get some practice the weekend too, Going to the volksworld show at sandown park and they got a go kart track in the middle of it!!

Also did i hear pub crawl mmmmmm beeeeeer:drool:

Hi all good to see some more interest,

I have had some replies back from the Kart centres, with Ancaster being most helpfull and suggesting that we run the 2 hr enduro with 2 people per team giving 1 hr + qualifying in the Karts for each person, you have to change drivers and have a 4min fuel stop so an element of strategy comes into play also!

I think the best thing now is to get this thread advertised as much as poss and thats where you guys can help im hoping, so spread the word:tup:

Also I could do with an idea of where your all from so feel free to drop me a PM and let me know, ultimate choice should really be somewhere that is equal travelling distance for everyone, to those that have your loc in your details I will make a note:tup:

cheers

Dave

That actually sounds like alot of fun! Great stuff Dave, awesome! :)👍

Why don't you put all the users locations next to their names in the first post, that way we can all get a better idea of wheres best for everyone, though Ancaster doesn't sound bad, it wouldn't take too long for me to drive from Manchester either and other members like Famine, and I tihnk theCraker live quite near it.

You'd be surprised where Famine lives ;)

I always assumed Yorkshire meant Yorkshire, so Yorkshire?
perhaps Sheffield?

I'm from there... I just move around a lot. Basically, any point in the country is easy for me to get to.
