Count me in, as long as i have no prior arrangements and my work schedule is clear ill be there. What time of the year were you thinking about?

Spec....

Me too, commitments excepting.

The drier months would certainly be better (if such a thing in the UK exists)

Heres an idea, the next UKGTP is coming later in the year, if it does indeed happen on a bank holiday weekend could we not have the karting on one of them days? Obviously this depends on where the UKGTP is held and if there is a half decent karting venue nearby. This way there will at least be the occupants of the UKGTP to attend it and should Swift, Diego and Small Horses come along they could get in on the action too. It could also up the numbers for UKGTP 7.

Just food for thought.....

I'm sure Vexd is familiar with all the local Newark area tracks if the next event does indeed end up there.

I'd say that ancaster is the venue of choice, but only if we have sufficient numbers. And there is a good one in Milton Keynes as well, which we could consider. Before that though, something to mention:
well, two things, if the event does happen in newark, i wont be attending.
And two, i will only go karting if Dave George organises it.
It'll be cheaper that way.

No im just kidding.

Id love to go karting, whether Dave is there or not, but i will refuse to go to a UKGTP that is in newark, as by the time we have one, it will be just too far for me to travel to.

Good luck Mr wasp, count me in, but pm me with details or get Spec/Famine/Roo/Daan/etc to let me know.

cool yo

:irked:👍

Are we moving Dave?

Wow brilliant, great to see the idea still supported! Well Spec's idea of running it with the UKGTP meet could work very well and would boost the numbers up. But if it ends up on a different time from UKGTP what would be best for you guys, in the summer? Spring?

Open to ideas, it's more of a "We" than a "I" that ends up planning this, group effort as such.
:)👍

I'm new to this forum, but I'd love to meet up for karting. I have a national ARKS license, so although I'm 14 I can compete in adult events. In March I will be competing in both the Buckmore Park adult and junior kart club. I live in Essex, so I'll do it providing it's not too far away.

DaveWaters FTW?

Right we really need to start getting down some provisional dates, any idea yet when the UKGTP meet will take place Famine?

Im not 100% sure but it looks to be the first bank holiday in may. Seeing as swift and diego are coming along they have been told to organise a date and we will work around them. They are coming from overseas after all. In the UKGTP 7 thread it seems that weekend is the most likely.

Good work for resurecting this Bee:tup .It looks like DaveWalters will be joining VEXD in the cupboard wrapped in gaffer tape too :sly:

First bank holiday, right well it could be possible to put the two events together, however would people have enough money over the weekend to pay for the karting?

I'll do some research over the weekend and see how the prices would shape up.

If that guy has an arcs license, he can handle a kart.

Best get some gaffer tape and some spidey web stuff from the cracker in spec.
:sly:👍

No fair. You'll have a size advantage. We'll all be sticking our big fat heads up into air resistance.
Oh whatever! You just can't stand the idea of being beaten by a girl...

I may be poor at GT4 but I can handle a Kart ;)

Anyone know what track it's going to be held at? Rye House in Hertfordshire would be a good one. It's fairly central, and it's an international track. Not sure about the karts, but you could look it up and consider it.

Damn right I can handle a kart. I sometimes race 2 stroke karts, so for me, and especially after all of this wet weather practice, 4 stroke corporate karts are easy...

VEXD, Im way ahead of you with the gaffer tape. Thinking up far more sinister plans to bag me a win now! :sly:

Ok you have 3 choices young man,

A) You join VEXD locked in the cupboard tied up with gaffer tape?

B) You dont turn up

C) You let me win but keep eveybody else behind

Spec....

PS, i suggest you pick option number 3 ;)

Give her daan and a jar of jam and she'll be so occupied she won't notice we're racing...

Oh my word.

Daan? anything to add to this dubious thread?

Mustve been that merc shirt that tipped the girlz offve the scales, eh?

This waters guy's had wet weather practice on two-strokes; we're all stuffed, the last time i drove a leopard/rotax was summer last year, i think we have a winner/party pooper.

We'll just have to stuff him in the "earliest beer of the day" stakes, eh Spec.?

:irked:👍

Im just hoping sipping a few beers does for my karting as it does for my GT4 driving!

For those who didnt attend the last UKGTP, i was doing pretty poor in the racing so i decided to drink beer, oddly i began to win a few races and be competitive.

Spec....

PS, getting friendly with me VEXD isnt going to save you from being taped up and locked up in a room!

I'm lightweight, too. I'll have finished first, drunk all of your beers, gone home, had dinner, and be relaxing in a comfy armchair before you've even left the grid.

Naa, I'm not that good, I don't really have enough money to practice enough, but I'd still say thay you're all pretty much screwed. :D

Shouldn't those things be kept private? ;)
