Good Car for Gran Turismo Beginner Rally?

Does anyone know of a good car for the GT Beginner Rally? It can't have more than 245 hp tuned.

I smoked the competition with a Lotus 111R LM. It's sorta cheating, but I was tired of buying cars, putting money into them, and losing by a few seconds :-/ You'll win the first time guaranteed if you're even a halfway decent driver.

The new Audi TT won easily

I bought an Audi TT 3.2 Quattro for this. No power upgrades, but take out as much weight as possible. Later, you can tune it and use it for the other rally events.

I used my upgraded 243BHP Cooper S '07, won both gravel and snow easily, just struggles on the tarmac.

I just used the Toyota FT-86 Concept I won in the FR event. I added some extra power so that it was nearer to the 245 bhp limit (mine was 239 bhp). It easily won in all three rally conditions

Well, my Toyota Concept has over 340 hp now so I'll just grind the FR challenge with it to buy the Audi TT.

I used the Lancia Delta with an oil change and air filter to bump up the power and some snow and dirt tires. Great fun.

I used a bright orange Ford Focus ST which won fairly easily.

Beat them all by like 6 seconds

If you buy the Audi TT remember this advice

DO NOT GIVE THE CAR AN OIL CHANGE.

It will bump the car out of the requirements.

the caterham does nasty things in the tarmac event, but your not allowed to use it on dirt or snow

Buy the premium Lancia from the dealerships and tune it a little bit. Then smoke the competition

I used the shigeno AE86 on the tarmac and easily won. I used a DC2 integra on the snow and dirt, the dirt was close but the snow i won easily. I found the dirt to be much harder than the other challenges. Both cars were standard power.

I second this. Won easily on snow and gravel, little close for comfort on tarmac though.

Just threw in chip and cat to get around 243 HP. FF is the way to go before you get an awd with higher hp.
