I'm running the Nurburgring 4 hours with this car totally stock against the first AI field after loading the game.

I'm pitting every four laps and after eight laps I have a minute plus advantage less the pitstop to take on 65 litres of fuel.

It is looking like an easy win at the moment.

I'm driving carefully, not touching curbs and not making contact with the AI. If I lose it and crash, I quit and call it a loss. (My endurance rule)

It's getting late so I've saved and will finish it tomorrow.

What happens if you crash on the 23rd hour off the 24hr event? Do you quit and call that a loss?

He probably goes crying to his mammy and asks for an X-Box so he can play Forza 4 instead. I know I would :dopey:

I'm also planning the Nurburgring 4 hours in my 860bhp tuned N24. I just want to get it done, since my last attepts at playing fair failed horribly, so I am just going to use that ridiculous power to get ahead

The N24 is a great car that's well setup even when in stock form. I was testing the Tsukuba Resume bug last night and I ran 35 laps of the race. Even on stock settings the car was running 56sec laps and can easily maintain the lead until fuel or tyres are required.

I do not suggest that people attempt the Tsukuba 9 hr with a view to Suspend the race mid way, the bug is too prevalent and you will be mightily peed off after 100+ laps when it happens.

The N24 can also run the Ring, with stock settings, with a 7min lap, possibly less as I wasn't pushing it and had a couple of offs.

I just finished the 4 hour Nur race in a stock N24 GT-R. It was a great race, though not as close as I would have liked. I lapped the second place car near the end. However I wasn't racing against the Amuse GT1 Turbo, it may make the race closer it that shows up.

Using race hards
Pitting every 4 laps
Refuel 56 liters every time

On race hards it is possible with this car (stock, though with fully customisable transmission).. Only I made some mistakes, the S2000 GT1 got me, got way ahead of me, then I thought to be smart by pitting one lap later... That was a stupid idea... Took me 10m46 or smth for that one lap, hehe. Then I quit, will redo it tomorrow. Just for your information, the AI is racing on Medium Racing Tyres. So, the ones winning this event with Sports Softs, wow. Well done.:)

It's a piece of cake mate. The S2000 GT1 does 6 laps stints. On stock tyres I pit every 4 laps. After the first pitstop I had dropped to 9th place 28.8 seconds behind the S2000. I caught him half way around lap 6 and by the time he pitted I'd opened up a 16 second lead on him.

It's a bit stupid that the S2000 doesn't pit until after lap 6, cause he loses massive amounts of time on that last lap...

I finished the 4 Hour Nurburgring in this car last night - stock (with oil change and new transmission).

The race had the Audi R8 LM race car in it, so got quite close at times, ended up winning by 45 seconds. Great car - you can really get in a groove driving it. Pitted every 4-5 laps.

Last night I try multi-setups for this car, and I'm as using hard-race tyres, but I have tune the car to the max, and then I'm de-tune the hp until I have a perfect power so the audi r8 LMS can stay on my tail all the time, and I as able to mantain a small gap for the r8, +3 to 5 seconds per lap, I still cannot start the 4h nurb for now because still not have the time to make2 hours strait then stop our save and make the remain 2 hours. But I will and then I hope to have the best race, without smoke the competition by more the a fee seconds :)

Edit: the car as now 690 Hp, and 340KM max - but only can do 298 / 300 clean air on the final strait.

Kaz's car on racing tyres will be too easy for the 4 hour. I've lapped faster than the AI in a stock AMG C63 on RH.

For a real challenge, assuming you can drive well and know the track, add a ballast of your own weight, SS, no ABS or other aids, interior view and MT. That'll be fun.

I'm currently doing the same thing with the OEM 2000 and the gap between me in third and the other 5 cars around me is less than 2 seconds.

You don't have to save mid race, you can do it as soon as you enter the pits.

I`m doing the 1000km Suzuka endurance now in a stock Impreza touring car. I only did the oil change, chassis reinforcement and ...... racing softs because i want to be comfortable.

I entered the pits at the end of lap 20. But i was passed just before i entered the pits. Oh man, this race is going to be close!

I did not want to use the new Nissan GT-R N24 because i feel it`s too strong for the AI.

I'm doing the 4 hour Nurb enduro (with saves) in this car. 3 hours in and it's an absolute blast. :D Best lap time thus far: 8:36.200 , 3 minutes ahead of the competition.

Never thought about adding my weight of ballast to the car before. Have to try that next time i'm driving any endurance race! :)
Maybe i should try to get my weight down before that though. :p

I read about someone who was doing it over 6 months ago and since then I can't help but do it to every car I use.

If you figure that all car weights are from the factory and don't take into account the additional driver weight it makes sense.

Plus I only weigh in a 60k

Ballast is a very good option to make the car more efective on the tail, but this nissan do not need that, it curse like no other "not no other in the game" it is more a way to say that is brilliant on the curves and bends :D

I also whant to try cars that full tune cannot go more than 600 hp, to see if able to catch the pack.

For which race? If you mean the 4 hour 'Ring then 600hp is well to high. See here for statistics.

95 kg here... :(
Im 186 cm tall though so my normal weight would still be somewhere around 85 kg. :)

Edit: On some motorsport regulations the weight of the driver can be compensated so adding ballast isn't for every class of motorsports.

I'm 182 but I cycle so my weight adds to my aerodynamics and speed. :sly:

An hour into this race on SS tyres and I'm miles in front!

Decided on aggressive 3 laps stints because I don't really like driving on very worn tyres and the story so far is I got into first on the long straight after the S2000 was very hesitant on the corner leading onto it, so much so that the he didn't even catch me up by the end of the straight.

Once I got through I pulled away by over 10 seconds a lap which meant by the time lap 3 came round I had a 28 second lead coming into the pits. Which proved to be just enough without refuelling to keep track position and in all likely hood meant I would win the race but rather than the S2000 keeping track of me it started losing ridiculous amounts of time in the second half of it's stint.

By the end of lap 6 I'm over 2 minutes ahead even after the pitstops have taken place so I think I'm going to pit every lap for a while to make this a proper race again.

What tyres are you using and is the S2000 GT1 turbo involved or just the standard S2000 GT1?

I just did 4hrs Ring in Kaz's car. Not stock though, put racing hard and couple of exhaust upgrades to bring it up to same HP as other cars. Won it by 6 minutes. About 8:40 per lap and a pitstop every 4 laps (30 min)

I'm using Racing Mediums with the car completely stock.

It's just the standard S200 GT1 :)

That explains it...

I only do this race with the audi R8 and th GTI turbo... once I restarted it about 20 or more times to get this combo... and even if you get this combo and have a close race they will mess it all up in their final lap of the stint (trying to drive on ultra worn tires) and with their refuelling strategy (allways filling up the tank and loosing alot of time doing it)

It was close at the start vut the other drivers just faded away :indiff: I guess I forgot about the update making more grippy tires because I forgot Sport tires are much more grippy now.

4 Hours of Nurburgring. Probably 24 Hours of Nurburgring too. :) It's what the car was built for in the first place, Nurburgring and endurance.

If it doesn't have tyre restrictions, which is a good indicator on what the AI use, then jump on the track for 1 minute, exit, view replay and observe what tires they used. Or get info from someone who already knows. :)

Will be great on the 4hr but remember the 24hr does have group C cars IE, Mazda 787B is the main runner also the 2J is in the race. Can you lap constistantly at 8 mins in the dark, thats what the 787B laps at.

I take it you didn't have the S2000 turbo against you to do those lap times and win?

I can attest to rh being too easy on nurburgring 4 hr. I was doing 8.35.000 in kazs skyline on ss and was pulling ahead about 10-15 seconds a lap.

Nope. Heck I overtook the full pack before hitting first corner, kinda felt bad for putting those exhausts in :p

You want to be doing 9:00 - 9:10 to be in with a decent race for the 4 Hour on the 'Ring. Any thing more will be too fast.

A good race on that track, I think, should be done on RH or SS with a car that is doing the times I mentioned above at flat out pace.
